We have just returned from a week staying at the Hotel Marianna. It is a beautiful, quaint hotel. Spotlessly clean with extremely helpful staff who couldn't do enough to help. The hotel is situated perfectly between Ornos, Mykonos Town and Platy Yelos. There is a convenient bus service between all destinations. The breakfast is traditional continental style and delicious. Would highly recommend this hotel as its great value for money and service.
This hotel offers you a cheap vacation in mykonos. It is not near town centre but still it is very close to bus stops and has a beautiful pool. My room had a view of the sea and pool from balcony. Lots of students and couples were staying. The room service was awesome. If you will spend a big part of your day at hotel dont come here but if you will use it as a spot to have breakfast and sleep and take shower, party; then it is your choice!
We were in room 21 on the top (2nd) floor overlooking the pool. From the large furnished balcony, you can see the ocean in the distance and wonderful sunsets. There is a large bathroom with tub and handheld shower. There is no in-room safe, alarm clock or hair dryer. The bedroom is a reasonable size with high ceilings. There is a huge closet but it has no shelves to store things on. The outside balcony railings and shutters need attention. The breakfast was good. We enjoyed the pool as the weather was very hot. It is close to the bus stop to go into town or in the other direction to Paradise Beach You could walk into town but it would be quite a hike down hill. Once in town you can walk to the sights. If you turn left on the street from the hotel there are several restaurants and a Carfore store. The hotel is quiet good value for money but needs some TLC. There was only one glass in the bathroom and we had to ask for another. Twice the maid did not lock our room door after she cleaned. I did not find the staff very friendly. They were just there and did not make an effort to talk. I would stay at this hotel again. It could be wonderful with just a little attention. Our favourite bar in town was "The MEx". The drinks are cheap, it is only a couple of blocks from the main bus stop and is a good place to people watch.
This was a horrible experience, we only stayed one night but it was totally hurendes. A filthy room with a crappy bed. Everything was broke: the tv, the refrigerator, the air conditioner and the furniture. Hard, Uncomfortable beds, dogs barking all night, people who made a lot of noice in their rooms late into the morning. Inside the bathroom was rubbish bin not emptied, the dirt on the floor. Unfriendly staff at reception. Almost all the pool chairs were broken and fell apart. bird feces on the chairs and the cushions. Extremely impersonal, omysig and dated decor and environment. Ordered a toast at the restaurant, completely inedible. Dared not try the breakfast, I can imagine that it was equally inedible. The only thing that was okay pool. Do not recommend this hotel to anyone.
Highly recommended hotel. Value for money. Great location, very close to town. Very clean. Friendly stuff. Amazing breakfast with a variety of goods. Ideal for business trip, leisure & for couples. The pool is great, large & clean.Don't miss it, it's worth it.
If you're after a typical Greek hotel with warm hospitality and a laid back atmosphere then the Marianna is for you. We were lucky to have a second floor room with a fantastic view, the sheets and towels were changed daily and although the room was small it was impeccably clean. The pool was a good size although the surrounding area is a little 'tired'. The hotel owner, Kiki, and staff, especially Susan, were very friendly, nothing was too much trouble for them. The hotel is quiet but well situated a few minutes from the bus stop, an excellent taverna 'Andreas & Maria' and not too far from the supermarket.
Hotel is Terrible. The owner is rude and unpolite. Don't know how to treat customers. Do not recomend. No wi fi. Far from downtown and the beaches. Bad experience. Do not recomend at all. No curtins on bathrooms, it gets wet all the time. Terrible
This was our second stay at the Marianna it is not too far from the airportt and ferry port so convenient if you are enroute to another island. The owner is lovely and everything is clean and well cared for.The pool is gorgous with lovey padded sunbeds and there is a pool bar .We can really recommend the breakfast . There is a supermarket and several tavernas just down the road as is the bus stop .
Pros -good room with balcony and excellent view -room cleaned daily with fresh towels -large relaxed pool -really friendly staff and owner -good location - 20min walk to Platy Gialos beach, Ornos beach and 25-30min walk to Mykonos town or easy to get the bus with bus stop very close (bus till 3am). 15mins 10euro to airport -supermarket at end of road -excellent tavern great value for money -Andreas Maria taverna 2mins away -adorable and friendly dog! Cons -breakfast gets a bit repetitive (toastie, boiled egg, cake and bread) -wifi only in communal areas - no individual safe although owner happy to place valuables in her safe would we stay here again?.......YES - fantastic holiday and great value for money hotel
We chose to stay for ten nights at the hotel and we were not disappointed. The hotel was traditional. It was always very clean in the communal areas, along with the rooms, thanks to the cleaners. We initially had a room at the side of the hotel for three people, but after one night we were given a room at the front with an even better view of the pool and a spectacular sea view! At breakfast you are served quickly and given a selection of different things including teas and coffee along with fresh bread and a selection of jams, ham and cheese toasties, some eggs, and a different portion of fruit on most days. So there's enough to keep most people happy. The pool and communal areas were very clean and welcoming, with plenty of sun loungers and a pool bar. Kiki and Mike always made us feel welcome and gave us advice on where to go and how to get there. The bus is only across the road so it's very easy to get into town or to platis gialos beach. Before you go out in the evening, the pool bar offers a wide selection of drinks in a nice relaxing atmosphere, and Mike is sure to keep you entertained. Just ask him about the range of bars and restaurants and he'll send you to all the best places (in particular, Fato A Mano - good food, brilliant service!) He'll also give you some good advice on visiting Sweden! We cannot wait to go back to the island, and to the hotel! Highly recommended.
