I booked to stay in this hotel for the 24th of August for one week. I had paid €386.25 for the week for my partner and I. My partner happened to fall ill and ended up in hospital a few weeks ago so I knew he wasn't going to be out on time to be able to attend the holiday. I emailed this hotel on the 8th of August asking for a reduced cancellation fee. I heard nothing back. I decided to ring booking.com and see could they do anything; the hotel would not answer their call. I emailed them once again to try get a response. I get an email today (17th August!!!!!! Due to travel on the 24th!!!!) to say that I cannot get a refund nor can I change the dates for my stay. And my only option was to bring someone else for those dates. Are they actually serious? Why would I bring someone else and leave my partner for a week when he's in hospital? And also how would I get someone to pay their way over in such a short space of time? I feel the way this business has handled this situation was an absolute joke and I am very upset I did not get any sort of refund as it's a lot of money to lose out on, especially for a medical emergency. I will definitely NOT be booking with this hotel again as they are absolutely chronic with customer service. I am just shocked that this hotel are not willing to give back a red cent of the money I had paid. Absolute joke of a business. Never again.
We had a lovely two day stay in July. We chose this hotel as we wanted a hotel with a pool and easy parking yet convenient location to the city centre. It did not disappoint. The hotel was extremely welcoming and clean throughout. Our room was spacious and well equipped. . The bathroom had a bath and separate shower which had the option of side jets. Clean towels were provided daily. The pool was good although a few more loungers would have been helpful. Good choice of food for breakfast catering for all tastes and we had an excellent steak for dinner in the restaurant. The 20 minute walk to the historic centre was no problem at all. Would thoroughly recommend.
The hotel is very nice, clean and the staff are very helpful. The pool, bars and restaurant are all very good and it is quite close to the historic centre (only about a 15-20 minute walk). Fantastic value for money.
Looking for a short break in sunny climes. 4 days in Nelva, room only. Beautiful hotel. Rooms very spacious. Cleaned and towel change every day. Fantastic bathroom. Great beds, loved the pillow menu as I always have probs with pillows. Lovely pool area, towels supplied no cost. Small mini bar in room. Large enough to store essentials. Reception staff exceptionally helpful. Good 20-25 min walk to town centre. Transport from airport not so good. Few busses, transfer around 100 euros return journey by private hire. Benniconnect very good.
My husband and I wanted a relaxing hotel with great food in a quiet location and that is exactly what we got. The hotel is beautiful and the cleanest hotel we have ever stayed in. When we opened our curtains early in the morning the staff would be cleaning outside and then they moved inside. We had fresh towels daily and our room was always well cleaned. We went half board and the breakfast had every type of food you could wish for, from cereals, fruit and yogurt, fresh bread with cheese and cooked meat, a full cooked breakfast and cakes and pastries. Our evening meals were from a set menu which was lovely, the waiter gave us amazing service, but when we wanted something different we did ask at reception if we could order off the al le carte menu and that was no problem at all, they contacted the kitchen and it was sorted. The staff can't do enough for you. They are all so pleasant. There is no entertainment at this hotel and it is in a quiet area but that was what we wanted. The pool area is really nice, plenty of sun beds and a nice pool bar. There is an outside cocktail bar that is open till 2am. It's definitely a place to go to to relax and recharge, I loved this hotel. We will definitely be going back
The hotel is well situated for the city center, public transport is nearby. The rooms are a good size and well equipped. The TV system needs some improvement, better reception and able to select V.O.S. as this is available throughout Spain. Lovely swimming pool, spoiled by children using large inflatables and playing ball games, also guests who "reserve" sun-loungers for hours and not using them.
Absolutely everything was good 😊 from the check in to the check out. We had an upscale room with balcony. A good 15 minutes walk to the city down town thought. Nice pool 🏊 bathroom was fantastic with both tub and massage shower and bathrobes and slippers
This hotel was a great place to stay. Spotlessly clean, rooms very comfortable, pool area nice and quiet, staff very friendly, great location for walking into the centre. The best thing was the Chill Out bar which opens from 9pm to 2.00pm. Sitting outdoors relaxing on soft chairs, listening to background music. Lovely way to end your day. Would highly recommend Hotel Nelva.
Hi if u want to be on the ground floor near the pool, but also don't want anyone walking past your terrace the the following rooms are which you need to request. Rooms 15 to 20 but the ones with single access no one walks past is 16,17 and 18 very near the pool but great for nipping to the room for toilet and drinks. We're in 17 which has a few steps pool side but 16 has none. Please note when leaving apartment you leave via the back to lock the door and has 2 small flights of stairs.
The hotel is a few minutes from the centre of Murcia, which is nice because you don't hear any noise and in fact at night it's one of the quietest hotels I've stayed in. Well appointed rooms, nice pool bar and lovely restaurant! There is also a chill out bar on the terrace at night, playing chilled music, which was lovely. Reasonable priced lunch on the terrace, exceptionally friendly staff. Friendly reception staff, all good, but it is the only hotel I have ever been to that does not provide an iron and ironing board on request, very strange! The staff said it was for health and safety reasons, first I've ever heard of that, could it be to promote their own ironing service.
