Modern, friendly staff and clean, spacious rooms in this tight downtown Murcia hotel. Perfect for business travellers. The breakfast was spectacular with incredible selections and high quality. The Wi-Fi was free as it caters to business travellers. The only downside is parking. To unload, one must park in front of the lobby on a very narrow street, common to downtown Spanish cities. The parking lot was around the corner in by far the TIGHTEST stacked parking lot I have ever been in. Good luck with a large car going up the tightest of ramps! Close to Murcia's downtown nightlife and great restaurants.
I've stayed at this hotel multiple times and would go back every time. I've stayed with husband, friends and family. Although the room decoration is a bit tired, it's always clean. The service is always friendly, helpful and the location amazing. It is without a doubt a gem at a bargain. I've never eaten in the restaurant because there are so many options on the doorstep but it looks nice enough.
Everything about the hotel was excellent, its location was super convenient as we visited all the monuments, museums and lovely places in the city. Reception staff were very helpful and spoke fluent English.
The hotel is in a great location, service was really good and the price also good. It was really clean and tidy. However the beds were a bit too hard and the pillows really, really awful. Also some common spaces and the toilets are ok but old. A reform and a nicer bed would make it excellent. I would recommend it anyway as a budget option. I can't say anything about the hotel's food since I didn't try it.
Excellent service Excellent breakfast Wonderful staff Great location Very clean facilities I highly recommend the hotel Thank you Robert I am from Melbourne Australia I am a semi retired primary teacher
I had stayed in this hotel once before a couple of years ago. Good value, really large room which was nice, and a complimentary bottle of water on arrival. The hotel is right by the main road, Gran Via. It is also a three minute walk from the beautiful cathedral, the main must-see in Murcia. Restaurants are also easily reachable - just across Gran Via is Plaza de Flores where there are a lot of restaurants. The only real downside was that the walls were very thin! We were on the 5th floor at the end of a corridor. We could hear the people next door like they were in our bathroom. And I'm a heavy sleeper but we heard people coming in about 6am one morning being very loud, but the hotel should really be more soundproof. Overall a good stay for the location and its cheap.
Only stayed overbite this trip but many prior stays here. Opted for buffet breakfast in hotel as they always have a good selection, but there are nearby options at lesser expense when not in mood for overly filling start to day, so location is excellent for breakfast possibilities, and later in day there are various restaurants and tapas bars, coffee bars so hunger is never an option in the immediate neighborhood. The rooms themselves are comfortable with efficient heat/A.C., and the closet space is adequate (though occasionally not enough hangers in closets). Staff are friendly and put the effort one would expect in a good hotel into remembering long-term customers. Transport options to/from hotel are usually good, barring street closure for parades/religious processions etc, and hotel has parking if you are driving, though we have never used a car on prior trips to the city. Finally, the price is generally in line with or below other hotels in city, which always seems surprising in the central location of this hotel.
I stayed here for 6 nights on a recent business trip. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and the rooms were clean (if a little dated). I was very pleased that they had soy milk and lactose free milk at breakfast, and they provided a good selection of breakfast foods. Unfortunately, I was unable to sleep in this hotel. It is not the staff's fault but the walls are paper thin and I could hear every word spoken by my neighbours on each side! This made a good night's rest impossible. I was also disappointed that there were no tea or coffee making facilities in the room.
Let me create the scene, we had headed to Murcia to enjoy the Easter holiday & particularly the parades & festivities. We arrived quite late a night to find out original hotel had sold our room!!! They placed us at the Hesperia. at their expense. We were given the dingiest room they had, on the first floor, no windows, poor lighting. Not impressed left as early as we could the next morning.
I stayed at the Hisperia Murcia for one night. The location was ideal as it was about a ten minute walk from the bus station and very near to the cathedral. It was ideal for going out to see the attractions of the city and to have a nice meal in one of the numerous nearby restaurants and cafes. The entrance lobby was perhaps the high point of the hotel. It was clean and modern. Staff at reception were pleasant but checking in took a while as there was only one member of staff on duty. I had a single room which was adequate for my needs. The room was dark and not particularly inviting. There was a window but it was an internal one overlooking a dark and small inner area. The air condition did work which was good for June. The room was clean. There was no fridge or kettle in the room. The wifi did work well. The bathroom was long and narrow with very little room to move about. I found the shower to be quite claustrophobic/small and left the door open when I had a shower. I stayed there for a night and I would not perhaps have wanted to there for any longer than a short stay. I did not have breakfast while I was there as I preferred to go and eat in the city.
