Sheraton Munich Airport Hotel

We loved the location--near the airport, but with a local neighborhood vibe...walking distance to some restaurants not connected with the actual hotel. Also, we loved the shades that adjusted so that the room was darkened.

This is a typical commuter airport hotel. The room was large, the staff were friendly and professional. There are several restaurants at the facility and the room service menu has a modest selection. Wi-Fi is included and reasonably performant. A shuttle runs every 30 minutes to the airport terminals and flight info is posted in the lobby.

I chose this property because it was close to the airport and was a spa hotel. The next day I had an early flight and travels that would take 24 hours plus. I was looking forward to a good spa experience and massage. The bubbles and jets were not working on the whirlpool. The dry sauna was cold and the steam room was shut off. There was no attendant and no masseurs available. When I contacted the front desk I was told that the staff shuts off everything when they leave around 6pm. Not acceptable! There are other hotels nearby that are less expensive without a spa. I feel ripped off! Management did not offer any rebate for not being able to provide their advertised amenities. I advise people to go elsewhere.

This was a very comfortable hotel. We especially liked the cushy beds and it did have anymore American type hotel feel than other places we stayed in Germany. The front desk staff was very helpful and accommodating when giving us information about the area or how to take the train into Munich. We were not impressed with the restaurant, which was overpriced and not especially good. However the staff was very friendly. We do strongly recommend the Italian restaurant which is a five minute walk down the road. Very very good. Continental breakfast at the hotel was €16, and full breakfast was €23. I imagine that this is normal for business prices, but for casual travelers it seems far overpriced and we got our breakfast at the airport. I was disappointed that Internet was not included in the room price and was only available for free in the lobby. I also disliked that every trip to the airport, which is required to take the train to Munich, cost five euros. So, other than the ad on charges, the hotel was quite comfortable and it's a good option for staying outside of Munich for reduced price. The other thing I want to mention, and I imagine this is highly unusual, but at about midnight one evening, two women came into our room while we were sleeping. I'm betting that the front desk gave them our room, forgetting that it was occupied. They quickly left, but it was rather alarming and strange. I don't think this is something particular about this hotel, since I can imagine this happens on rare occasions in many hotels.

It's a very nice hotel-very clean, very upscale at an affordable price. I have no complaints as a place to lay my head after a long trip. My biggest complaint is that the wi-fi is not free. It cost 6 euros a day to use. You can use their computers in the lobby for free internet, but only for half an hour.

Physical plant very good. Food was average, service average. Costly for this level of service and food. Charging for internet access is an irritation. Why, when many hotels of less quality offer excellent wireless service??

Comfortable rooms, good restaurant, friendly staff, shuttle bus to Munich Airport every half hour.

Close to airport and had many amenities, small town feel, bier garten, good food, 16 euro for parking, didn't like shower/bathtub with half glass...got cold.

Room was large and well appointed. Spotlessly clean hotel. Great location in small village close to Munich airport. Friendly staff. Good restaurant. Wifi is a little expensive. Would gladly go back.

High speed WiFi was "high speed" in name only and way overpriced at 70 euro

This hotel served my purpose perfectly. It is a short shuttle ride from Munich airport and the room was spotless and comfortable. Great mattress! After staying in numerous European hotels offering free Wi-Fi I was disappointed that this hotel charged for iota use. The dining room was also overpriced and I have the distinct feeling that they were taking advantage of guests who did not want to venture far from the hotel. However the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and this is a great plus. I recommend the hotel and would stay there again

Stayed at this hotel due to its proximity to the Munich airport. Very clean rooms. Friendly, helpful staff. The restaurant had a reasonable selection of menu items and the service was well above average. Good shuttle service to and from the airport. Quiet area. I would stay here again.

This is an out-of-town airport hotel so the location is isolated - but suited me. I had a car to get around but otherwise you are not going to see any of Munich from here. The hotel is warm and friendly and well appointed - especially the swimming pool and saunas were really nice. The management were super helpful to me as i had some difficulties with travel - and i really appreciated them. The less good - charging E20 for parking at an out of town location i think is outrageous, and the breakfast is good but very expensive (get an inclusive rate if you like breakfast). I had some minor issues with room cleaning - on the other hand they really tried hard to help when I lost an item (turned up elsewhere - but they really looked for me). Overall I would stay again and recommend for similar travellers.

Great Hotel. Very American friendly. All staff very happy to assist in any request. Was able to check in hours early at 10:00 am.

About 10 minutes from the airport. There is a shuttle to the airport (8 Euro per person). Nice Italian restaurant close by and nice peaceful lobby. Room is clean an nice. Internet is very expensive

We checked into the hotel to find out I was double booked on this reservation. They said they were going to charge me for the second reservation if I cancelled. I had only made 1 reservation [...] My last night in Munich was not a enjoyable one!!! I do not recommend Sheraton or this hotel!!!

Immaculate rooms/facilities, air-conditioned, 8 euros each way to/from airport (be sure to reserve seats), one very good Italian restaurant about a block away, cash machine at bus stop about two blocks away, fitness center and spa, price about half of downttown Munich, extra 9 euros each way to/from airport terminal to downtown by Ubahn, staying downtown an extra day and catching S8 to the airport (about 20min from mierenplatz)a good and efficient option, thought we should be close to the airport but the S/U would have worked just as good.

It was Oktoberfest time and it was a busy weekend in Munich. This hotel made it seem like it wasn't too far from the airport or local transportation. This is true in a sort but we did not have a vehicle so we relied on only public transportation, which is a bus ride to the airport then a train ride from the airport into town. This isn't so bad except the bus seemed to be unpredictable and we would wait like 45min to an hour for it. An all day metro passes for 2 cost 18 euro that we found to be pricey. There was also an option of taking the hotel shuttle to the airport but that alone cost 8-euro. The airport was our go to location for grocery shopping; yes it had a full market with not bad prices, and places to eat. The hotel was clean, had nice and very helpful staff and was in a beautiful quite location. Oh and the pool spa area was awesome and defiantly relaxing!

Just one night on my way back from Austria. Van ride every 45min for E8 service 5:30am to 11pm. The Hotel arranged for another van to pick me up at 4:45 am (excellent service and cheaper). The restaurant was busy, there is not much to do around there. For the price: an OK stay.

Loved the people, although it's a bit of a drive to the city, still a great place to stay.
