The location of the apartment is very central for all main sight seeing - also very to the Berlin shopping mal. The Rooms are spacious and clean. Staff were very helpful - room could do with a Kettle !

So... As we read this hotel is certainly in a less desirable area of Munich but as a couple we didn't feel unsafe or worried. There are a few 'clubs' you wouldn't want to go in but nothing was pushed/promoted as you walked by and you would only know they were those sorts of clubs by the signage in the windows. Look for the sign above the door to the hotel- it could be easy to miss. If you are walking from central station it's on the right hand side. Not too happy with check in. The night cover was rude... We requested a room high up and a 'quiet room'... We were given first floor by the stair case. He was really unhelpful and offered us no apologies! But saying that once we got to the room we were really surprised... It had 2 doors between hotel room and bedroom which blocked the sound and shutters on the windows. The rooms are as pictured and clean. Beds comfy and room warm...what more could you ask for from a hotel room you don't really stay in much when exploring a city. Hotel is in walking distance of marienplatz/shops/bierkellers and the stations-all you need for exploring. I probably wouldn't recommend for a family.

Neighborhood not ok. Price too high. But scarcity in the market and therefore fine to book. Use Uber to move to interesting place. Room is fine, but €300 is overrated. Be aware, no complaints. I just think value for money is not in balance.

Comfy rooms that are clean, sometimes thats all you can ask for. I stayed here with other people, so I walked back to the hotel at night with people, but i wouldnt feel safe walking alone here at night. I get the feeling its an icky part of town- there are 3 strip clubs on this road alone and there are always people hanging outside the clubs at night. That being said, the streets can be heard with windows open from your room (theres no AC). No breakfast included. They clean your room everyday. Walkable to Marienplatz.

There's nothing more to say other than there's a bed, a toilet, a shower and a door that locks... however it was clean and was fit for purpose as a bed for the night. A no frills stop over. Would recommend for the same reason but not anything other than that

As the title suggests, you get what you pay for. I stayed for 3 nights and had a few dramas but nothing earth shattering. The price probably reflects the stay as: You could barely move in the shower it is that small The wifi was deplorable dropping in and out making it hard to book anything on my trip online My fan broke (no A/C) however it was replaced The cleaner came in on the 2nd day and when i arrived back at my room the door was left unlocked The t.v channels did not work - even after programming it myself No lift Now there were a few good points too: The bed was comfy enough The reception staff were friendly and helpful It was fresh and had looked like it was recently renovated Overall besides a few minor things, i certainly got what i paid for. If you don't need wifi during your stay and can put up with a room fan, this is a perfect budget option.

Was happy to find that the hotel and rooms were just as they were pictured. Had a room on the second floor and off the street. Yes, it was warm, but fans were provided in the room and we had a pleasant rest. Could not leave the window opened due to the restaurant smells - which some people may like. Looks to be located in "Red light" district, as per adjacent strip clubs. Very close to train station, easy to explore Munich. Highlight of trip was going to the huge park. Only stayed one night on way to Austria.

The room smelt like sewerage and the floor wasn't mopped. The staff were decent, although it isn't family friendly with drunks and strip clubs in the district. Although it is a convenient 2 min walk to the train station.

Overall the hotel was great. As an American we are accustomed to having A/C in our hotel rooms, these rooms do not. Just a little heads up, if you visit this hotel. Like most hotels it can be hit or miss to have air on. I slept with the door open as I like it cool when I'm crashed out for the night. I visited in May so it was beautiful day and night. Now for the down side. Munich (Munchen) has some not so great neighborhoods. This hotel is right on the edge of the not so good. Munich is a city so, like all cities they have their spots. I'm just gonna leave it as that. If you want specific details, message me and we can chat. I talked with some Munich PD officers and they had better areas to recommend. Hotel staff were top notch! Great people and very helpful!

It was a fantastic stay at Hotel S16. The room were clean and well maintained. It is at 2 min walk from the Munich main railway station and just walking steps from the U-Bahn terminal. It is a main city center. lots of Food outlets outside the Hotel. It is an ideal hotel accomodation for tourists in Munich. Full marks and value for money. It was cheap too.
