We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It was clean and comfortable. In a very nice neighborhood. Close to shopping and good restaurants. Kind of far from downtown Munich, but it was no problem for us. We enjoyed the quiet.
I'm not sure about the hype, but we were coming from Austria to catch next day flight out of munich airport, restaurant food was also average and breakfast mediocre. Free public parking behind the hotel.
Close to train, only 5 stops until in town. Food and restaurants close to location. Very Clean comfortable bed great staff and free parking! Only thing is make sure if you book through Tripadvisor ensure breakfast is included don't know if that is guaranteed.
Fantastic hotel, excellent staff. Rooms very excellent but don't have curtains which was strange. The bar and restaurant was very good and the staff excellent. Breakfast was until 2 pm at the weekend which is good for holiday guests. The car park isn't very big so not always possible to park onsite, but good parking nearby. I would really recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a good base near Munich centre - weekends no direct train to the centre though.
We stayed for two nights again and can absolutely recommend this hotel. Breakfast is very good and various rooms are very clean and cozy. In the wellness area free drinks are provided. The way to Munich downtown is also comfortable and can be reached by train, which goes every 10 minutes (on Sundays every 20 Minutes).
Excellent staff, very helpful to foreigners. Very good location, close to a train station with direct links to Munich city centre. Very big and varied breakfast. Nice tea and coffee selection in the room. Nice and comfortable rooms. Will not bother looking at another hotel for my next trip to Munich
All I can say is I am very impressed. All points were great. All the people were great. I went with my elderly parents and they were very kind and patient with them. We enjoyed our time here. The rooms were great. Right amount of space and many amenities. And ooohhhthe shower. Two words... water pressure.. it was perfect. I was fully refreshed. All my auestions were answered. The cook and waiters were great to talk to. The breakfast was on point. Real honey, the scrambled eggs were appealing and cooked (no watery eggs). The offered the tea leaves and you can have you eggs made to order. I can get picky at times with hotels. Sometimes I am willing to compromise for the price. However, for the great room and service I received, I have to feel this was a bargain. Great job!!
Friendly receptionist and waiting staff. Great food for dinner - had the spargel soup and salmon-mackerel salad. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Free and adequate breakfast. 15 mins away from BMW museum and Olympic Park.
Everything about this hotel worked out perfectly for us! I stayed there for 4 nights with my husband and 6-yr old boys mid-April at the start of a short road trip through Bavaria, and we were so happy with it that I booked it for 1 more night at the end of our stay in Germany (as opposed to staying at an airport hotel as originally planned). First of all, I loved the fact that it was small and built /decorated in traditional style, and yet it didn't sacrifice on style, comfort, and service. Everything from the lobby to the bar and restaurant areas and the small outdoor patio area (which unfortunately we didn't get to enjoy much because it was freezing!!) was really warm and inviting. We stayed in a 2nd floor suite which was just right for our family of 4. It consisted of 2 separate spaces, and had a very spacious bathroom which had doors from both the living room and bedroom area. I especially loved the heated floors in the bathroom, as well as the fact that there was both a shower and a bathtub. The decor was nice, the beds comfortable, the space ample. Breakfast was was very good and plentiful with a big choice for both adults and kids. We also ate dinner at the hotel restaurant 4 nights out of the 5 and I can say the quality and service was great. The only comment I would say is that I would have liked a bigger choice of entrees, especially for my kids, as the food wasn't very child friendly. Other than the kinder schnitzel there really wasn't anything for them to eat (we tried the kids spaghetti one night but other than it being a smaller portion I didn't really find anything "kid" about it - neither the sauce nor the parsley in it were very appealing to kids!). I also loved the location of the hotel! It was quiet, suburban, and nothing in Munich was more than a 20 - 25 minute drive away from it (we actually never used the metro once because we found it was so easy to drive everywhere!). And the free parking is great. And, despite reading in previous reviews that there's nothing in the area in terms of restaurants, we found that if you drive about a mile further down the hotel you find plenty of great little neighborhood restaurants including Greek, Italian, Thai, Indian... There are also two shopping malls and a couple of big supermarkets nearby. So all in all this hotel was a big success for us - comfort, style, service, location. We would definitely come back!
My wife and I stayed in the Hotel Prinzregent in Riem after the closure of the sister Hotel Prinzregent am Friedensengel. We were big fans of this hotel and very sad when it closed. However, we were very happy with the service and facilities in Riem. The style of the hotel was just what we like and the staff were very attentive, professional and helpful. The room we stayed in was very comfortable indeed and the spa in the hotel was very good indeed and we spent a very relaxing afternoon in there. The breakfast buffet was very good and set you up for the day. We shall be sure to return and we pass on our thanks to all the staff.
