Quality Inn Hill City

Room was clean and convenient. Attractions were close by.

The Hill City location was central to everything we wanted to see.

This Quality Inn was a good choice for our stay while in the area of the Bad Lands, Custer State Park, Mt. Rushmore. It was a clean room, comfortable. The breakfast included was hot and substantial. It would have been better had they had an elevator as we were on the 2nd floor and had a heavy suitcase.

I came to Hill City to see the Brûlé show. (Btw a MUST!) When I return to Hill City, I will again stay at the Quality Inn! It is on Main Street, close to the excellent restaurants and gorgeous gift shops and 1880s train! The room is very comfortable. I have had several back surgeries and a comfy mattress is key. This one is very very comfortable. I slept like a baby. I need to add, my room is a non-smoking room and there is no smoke smell whatsoever! Breakfast is nice with some hot foods-eggs, bacon or sausage and biscuits. There are also make them yourself waffles and yogurt, fruit, a variety of breads for toast, coffee, juice, cereal etc. Something here for everyone. The staff is very helpful and friendly. I especially enjoyed the pool, the outside seating areas. Very relaxing! And the Michelson Trail is right next to the hotel.

front desk helped so much and gave us great info about Rushmore. You DO have to see it at night and day as well. Gave directions and biscuits/gravy with eggs & sausage was a delight to have before day of travel. Clean room. Wish parking lot was bigger but we just walked to other side of hotel.

We had a nice stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only thing my kids complained about was that there wasn't an elevator. Not a big deal for me since It was only one flight up.

EVERYTHING WENT WELL BEDS WERE VERY COMFORTABLE - CLEAN ROOMS-GREAT BREAKFAST - WILL STAY THERE AGAIN

Very comfortable hotel with a good breakfast. Situated in a nice location with a good view off the deck.

I book a suite with a hot tub only to find out it was street side by a traffic light, during bike week! We had to change rooms to have any chance of sleeping. We were able to do that but there were no refunds for the expensive room I had booked.

Location was great for access to the atractions in the Black Hills. Hotel was decent with a good continental breakfast. Our room had a little bit of mold on the bathroom wall, other than that the place was nice.

Hotel was home base while experiencing Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Bear Country...

Nice staff.

Vacationing in the area and found this hotel close to many sights. Nice room for the price.

The Comfort Inn, Hill City, SD was a good base location for seeing most of the Black Hills sites. It is a plain hotel with not much amentities but it works well for a base camp. The breakfast area was always very crowded which caused several folks to either have to stand or take food back to their rooms. They did have an outdoor patio where you could eat but a couple of the days it snowed so you could not go out. The clerk did not tell us there was not an elevator before he scheduled us in a room on the 2nd floor. It would be difficult for an older person to get the suitcases up and down the staircase if they were on the upper floor. The whole hotel was non-smoking which was wonderfu. There is a gas station with Subway located right next door which made it easy to get snacks. The hotel is too far on the outskirts of town to walk to the resturants in town. You will need to drive.
