Average for a 3 Star facility. Room was okay, but nothing outstanding.

small room with double beds shoved up against each wall, not much room between beds

The hotel was quite nice. The staff was not that helpful. Was like you could do your own stuff when asked for more towels. Went to the pool and it was hard to stay in that area. To much chlorine.Burned your eyes. You could see Mt Rushmore from the motel but had to be in the right spot in the parking lot to get a picture.

Our view was a cliff next to our window. Room was not cleaned.

The room smelled like smoke when we first arrived. After having the window open it got a little better. Bathroom was not clean. Probably won't stay there again.

This is a nice hotel with pleasant staff, but watch out for the black water beetles at night. They are relentless and try not to book a room facing the street or they will get inside your room. Instead, pay a little more for room inside of the hotel on 2nd floor or up.

This was a nice hotel and was a very good value for the price. I would recommend this hotel to our friends.

The location to Mount Rushmore is all this hotel has going for it! The room smelt horrible, the beds were probably 20 years old and they were so broken down and lumpy, the bathroom looked like it wasn't cleaned after previous visitor. There was black hair all over it and we are both blonde so it wasn't ours! The staff is horribly rude and did not even ask how our stay was! If you go during a busy season good luck getting parking near your room. I believe this hotel feels they don't have to care because they are only about 5 minutes from the faces. But for a $100 a night I expect a lot better! I will never stay here again or even recommend this place!!! Don't waste your time or money!

A friend and I drove through to see Mt. Rushmore. This hotel was in a great location, but everything was pretty outdated. No shampoos or soaps. Calling the front desk cost money. Staff was friendly. They allow pets which was great for us, but there was no where for our dog to use the bathroom. Hotel was walking distance to everything in town.

Keystone is at the foot of Mount Rushmore and the Presidents View Resort is at the heart of the action in Keystone. We walked to restaurants and other attractions from the resort and also enjoyed the pool and hot tub.

There were dead bugs in the hallway and hair left behind in the bathroom AND in the bed. Good location, but the resort fee is pretty ridiculous. We stood there for about 5 minutes before the staff even acknowledged us when checking in. Decent location, but I'll definitely be picking a difference place if I ever stay in the Black Hills again.

The hotel was located about 10 min from Mount Rushmore, the staff was good and the room was clean. Great for couples, if you looking for big rooms maybe this hotel is not for you. Great hotel for the basic needs. The one thing that can be improve is the fact that they don't serve any kind of breakfast. Not a big deal but in a small town were restaurants are limited it would be a big plus.

what can I say, worst hotel I have stayed in!! Room small, bugs, no shampoo, out of order soda machines, no hot water first morning(was told heater went off had to restart it). Cleaning staff sitting on floor playing on phones and front staff on phones while coffee pot are empty 8:00am. Used ATM in lobby that did not give money, what a hassle that was to get put back on card. Definitely not worth the price.

An overall awesome experience. Great location, great view of Mount Rushmore, awesome sauce!!!

Tiny room. Felt cramped. Close to Main Street business and restaurants

Very convenient. Thought that a continental breakfast was included, however it sea close to places that we could get breakfast.

Location is central if your a mountain goat. The bed was very old and uncomfortable and there are alot of better choices in the area.Go somewhere else.

Room was small and not updated but for the price you can't complain. Bathroom could have been cleaner. Overall what we expected.

Pros: 1) Excellent location. 10 minutes drive to Mt. Rushmore. 2 minutes walk to restaurants/bars, souvenir shops and the trolley train. 2) Cheap Cons: 1) Stinking room (at least the one where I was). 2) Parking gets full quickly. Not enough room for all the cars. 3) It says Presidents View. But you need to book a suite for that. Standard rooms don't have a view.

Hotel needs to be updated, if its going to be rated a 3 star. The staff were not friendly. It seems this entire area is staffed by Eastern European youth. They try their best, but language barrier was a little concern.
