Joseph at the front check in desk was very helpful and went above and beyond. Helped with bags and tips with local restaurants and getting an extra bed for our son. We arrived early and our room was ready early which was a nice surprise and very helpful! The breakfast in the morning was good and it was nice to have the welcome drinks upon check in too. Beds were comfy and shower was great. Service from front desk was very helpful. We will definitely stay here again!

What a beautiful place to stay with a pool right in front of the property and in really nice shape! Plus, dolphins swimming in the channel in front of you and lots of pelicans Flying around ! And, lots of restaurants right across the street.
The Creekview we had on the second night was really nice. And, the restaurants are right in front of you so it does get loud. Especially the night when we were there right before New Year’s. Pool is beautiful not heated. So you probably won’t be able to use it this time of year unfortunately, even though I would’ve if it was heated. They have an elevator, which was great for bringing up our cooler on wheels. The beds were somewhat comfortable, but I like them really heavy on the pillow top! But, it really is a great location and on the other side of the building the first night you could see the marshes.

The property is very old. Updates have been made but more could be done. A small couch or love seat in each room would certainly make the room more comfortable when watching TV or just relaxing. The location is very nice, the hotel pool was very clean. Amenities in the room could have been nicer but they were adequate. The young man at the front desk needs more training. Instead of staring at his cell phone, he should be greeting guests and interacting, not grunting when spoken to!! I will continue to recommend this hotel, I just think a few additions could make this a much nicer property.
Location was fabulous. We booked last minute so had a marsh view rather than creek view, but it turned out to be great. The marsh boardwalk is wonderful.
Short ride into Charleston. Near visitor attractions. Several restaurants within walkable distance. Restaurant and bar on site. Staff were wonderful. Grab and go breakfast was fine. Location was on creek and very quaint.

The staff at Shem Creek Inn was great. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The atmosphere around the Inn was both fun and relaxing. lots to see and enjoy. Loved the short trip. Will never regret the 3 days we spent there. I've never seen my mom smile as much as the time she spent at Shem Creek.
Great view of the creek and walking distance to a lot of restaurants. Rooms are old and A/C is very noisy. Parking is terrible and staff was not very helpful.

This property is old. The walls are so thin you can hear everything that goes on in the motel. I felt like I was living in that commercial with the cloggers. I was near the front desk and could everybody. Also I paid for a breakfast which due to the virus I could not receive which I understand but do nothing t charge me for it though. Very disappointed. My son just moved there and I will not be staying her again.

TV remote was broken with a piece of electrical tape holding it together. Breakfast buffet was a bit sparse. Air conditioning was loud.
