Rydges Mount Panorama Bathurst3.5 out of 5.0

We had an overnight stay at the Rydges mainly to show case the track and surrounding area. The hotel is very good, rooms huge and clean. Great amenities such as kitchenette, pool, laundry and large sliding doors in the front rooms to take in the view. Breakfast was included and there was a large selection. The home made muesli was great ! Would recommend !
On check in the receptionist noticed we booked before their current promotion and without asking reduced our price. We stay in a lot of Motels and B&B's and could not fault our stay. All the small things ticked, a fridge that works and actually got cold and that is big enough to fit drinks and bonus ice cubes, the air conditioner worked, the shower was nice and bed comfortable, the room was roomy, clean and it also included a spa. Price was great for this time of year. Plenty to eat for breakfast and also had dinner at the motel which we enjoyed.
We stayed one night in a studio, room # 606. We arrived around 3pm hoping to use the pool but it was closed, a bit disappointing but still ok as the view from the race track is quite cool. The room is clean and kitchen has everything we need. Staffs are very friendly would recommend for a short stay
Our stay commenced on Boxing Day with a very friendly welcome from Jacob, who was very helpful and explained everything to me. We entered the room and it wasn't made up as we needed it, but Jacob seen to it that it was corrected for me. The kids went down to the pool area after a long drive only to find the pool green with people in it. We chose to only use the spa. We then went down the next morning hoping for a swim and the pool was closed and I was advised it would be closed until at least 3pm but I would receive a phone call to let me know when it was open. Pool was still closed Thursday only to be reopened Friday morning. Now I had a late checkout of 12pm however I wasn't advised of the pools reopening. Quite disappointing for my 2 kids who really were looking forward to swimming in their holiday. The room was big and roomy however cleanliness needs to be adressed. The mirror in the bathroom was not clean and had streaks all over. The kitchen had its faults as well the knife block was covered in dust on the top and around the edge of the hotplate had old food grime in the corners. The air con was dirty and the carpet was ripped near the balcony doors. The actual floor of the shower recess could have done with a good bleaching. The main bathroom doesn't lock which is an inconvenience when holidaying with children and everyone is in the same room. Each day I was not provided with enough towels and had to request it be fixed. Overall my stay at Rydges was very disappointing. I have previously stayed overnight and was happy however our 3 night stay this time was a mistake and waste of money. I wouldn't recommend this hotel at all.
We were doing a road trip to Newcastle and my partner asked if we could stop in to Bathurst so he could check out the V8 track. It wasn’t a huge detour out of our way so we went for it. We found Rydges on the net and read some great reviews. We joined the VIP club and received a discount on our room, breakfast included and 25% off their restaurant. Dinner was good and breaky was a buffet style in their restaurant. Greeted at reception by such a lovely gentleman. The room was amazing!! The bed was soooo comfy. Shower to die for!! And the views from the shared balcony were just perfection!! Rydges is located on the actual race track so hubby went and did a few laps and was in heaven. I would definitely go back to Rydges and would highly recommend to anyone who loves racing.
Stopped for a single night and found the hotel comfortable. On race days I'm sure the rooms would be great, although strange having a communal balcony. This isn't a great place, and when the racing on it's only a litttle better than a budget hotel.
Great room with spa and being off season it was only $144 for the night including buffet breakfast. You can drive the track or even walk it. Our room was on 5th floor and an amazing view of Mt Panorama. It was a mid week stay so only bar kind of snacks but I would rate them higher than some pubs for normal menu. Totally recommend and there is plenty to look around in Bathurst .... but the track really makes you realise how skilled these drivers are. Oh ok about the room. We had a Spa and and extra large bed, it was clean and had a decent kitchen and large fridge.
Excellent stay from the minute we arrived to the minute we left. Helpful, engaged staff who couldn't do enough to help, from the cleaners to the general manager. Really comfy beds. Clean. Lovely views and great fun to hang out on the balcony overlooking Mount Panorama and the race track. Great breakfasts, and kangaroos nearby in the morning and evenings. Will be back.
Excellent rooms, clean with all the facilities you would need. We stayed in a studio king facing the tracks, had a nice view of Mount Panorama and ample space for 2 adults and 2 toddlers. Definitely would stay here if visiting Bathurst again.
I would highly recommend staying here and would definitely return the rooms are excellent and the food in the restaurant is fabulous the staff go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable
