Nice staff. Shower curtain too short. TV sound would shut off indiscriminately.

I stayed at this hotel in March of 2015 and it was incredible for the price (close to the cost of a hostel at the time). It was inexpensive, the rooms were very comfortable and clean, the hotel was in a fantastic location (not far from Buchannan Street), the staff was wonderful, and the tradition Scottish breakfast was superb. I would definitely recommend this place!

I was having my first trip to Scotland by myself, and I was so happy with my choice of hotel! I wasn't renting a car so it was very close to everything I needed (Bus station/popular attractions). The staff was very friendly, breakfast was great, I will stay here again when I come back in March! The only down side was I was on the very top floor and did not have the best internet connection.

This hotel met most of my expectations and exceeded others. My room was itself was spacious and clean, and the bathroom, also very clean, was also somewhat larger than I expected. One minor warning: the hotel provides soap but no shampoo or shower gel or the like. The hot cooked breakfasts are excellent and the dining room isn't at all cramped. The hotel location is quite good: just one street to the north of Sauchiehall, and not terribly far west of the bus station and Queen St. rail station. I commend them for the excellent LED task lighting above the beds and the desk: I actually could read in my room after twilight without eye-strain! If you're on foot, though, plan to approach from the north, east, or west rather than from the south: the one block from Sauchiehall to Renfrew is Very Steep if you're northbound on either Scott or Garnet Streets. That wouldn't be fun if you were carrying heavy luggage. I lucked out and approached from the east from the bus station along Renfrew: no issue at all there. I didn't use the WiFi during my stay, so my rating for that doesn't mean a thing: if I'd had a don't know option, I'd have used it. All in all, though: I would stay here again with no hesitation at all.

Nice clean place with friendly staff and good hearty breakfast. The only problem is lack of an elevator so any heavy luggage you have to carry up the steps and ifyou are planning on walking to the hotel, some hills are steep around the hotel.
