Very comfortable hotel, stayed in a double room which was clean and comfortable with a nice bathroom with powerful shower, drinking water is provided from dispensers in the corridor, breakfast was substantial and plenty of it, free WiFi as well.
Absolutely stunning the rooms are great the staff amazing great food and drinks and in a very central location a very relaxing warm comfortable place to stay , there is a lot of history with this place staying here you won’t be disappointed
We had to stay in this hotel twice on a booked tour. The first time they put us in a room on the first floor that looked like a servant's quarters. It was dark, dingy and horrible, with a window looking straight at a playground. The second stay was slightly better, but after using the shower, water flooded the bathroom. Others staying at the hotel reported the same. The staff were mostly clueless young people that were learning their jobs unsupervised and weren't very helpful at all. We also tried to use the foyer for a meeting and some random guy passed out on the couch and began snoring. The only thing that was nice was the restaurant. From the outside you would mistake this as a classy hotel. It is not.
Stayed while on an organised trip. Hotel is well situated about 15 mins to Red Square and the Kremlin. Room was clean and comfortable just lacking tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast had a reasonable selection of hot and cold food.
I stayed here for 2 nights on my Exodus Moscow to St Petersburg trip. I was given a double room all to myself, which was ideal for me. The bed and pillow were both very comfortable, ensuring I slept very well each night. The bathroom had a powerful shower, which stayed hot throughout my stay. The free wifi could be easily accessed from my room and in all public places of the hotel. The breakfast was great with plenty of choice including pancakes, bread, cold meats, fruit, juices and great coffee. There are also large water dispensers in a few different areas of the hotel where you can refill water bottles for free. The hotel is in an ideal location for exploring Moscow, Red Square was only a short walk away. I would stay here again if I find myself back in Moscow as the location is ideal and the rooms very comfortable!
Hotel had been booked by tour company on our behalf. After reading some of the reviews I was a bit concerned. I didn't need to be. We are staying here for 7 nights, so far we have been here 4 nights. Yes the room is a bit small and the carpet has a few stain but the room is clean, the bed is comfortable, we have a fridge, small wardrobe, table and TV. Only 1 chair though. The airconditioning works well and the room is made up nicely everyday, towels are a little warn but clean. The bathroom is functional and the water pressure good. Wifi is excellent. Breakfast is basic but nice, restaurant is probably a bit small to accommodate the amount of guests so you have to wait sometimes to get a table. We will have dinner here probably tomorrow night. Location is very quiet and only a short walk to restaurants, cafes, Arbat main street and Metro.
This Hotel result as a very ship place to stay, the breakfast is magnificent with a long variety of food to taste and is a very luxury Hotel in my opinion. It is a little hide in Moscu, but is close from the main turistic places in that city. I traveled to Moscu in July 2017, and in for me it was a very good choice from my wife, good for her. I remember Moscu for the rest of my life as an incredible city and this Hotel did my stay very confortable.
Stayed 3 nights, rooms very small and not as close to attractions as I would have liked. Breakfast was OK, but no variety and was held at 7.30a.m which is way too late as this caused all the guests to converge at once which was chaotic and not a pleasant experience.
This is the second time I have stayed here. The hotel is only five minutes walk from Old Arbat pedestrian street and twenty minutes from the Kremlin. The room was a good size, clean and the ensuite included a bath. Staff were helpfully the breakfast was good.
Though the hotel is situated in an area where there are several embassies, getting there by coach is problematic because of the terrible Moscow traffic and because the streets around the hotel are not wide enough for tourist coaches. The room: somewhat small. When we came in and examined it, the fridge was not plugged in, and neither was one of the bedside lamps. These are things that one would not expect when coming into your hotel room. The safe did not work at all. I told the reception desk, who made a note of it, or so they say, and nothing was done. The same thing can be said about the heat of the bathroom. The bathroom has a heated towel rail, and the heat was quite high, making it almost like a sauna. There was no way to reduce the heat. I should add that the outside the temperature was around 25 degrees. You either do not need a heated radiator or could have made do with a very low temperature, just to make sure the towels dry. The desk was informed, but again to no avail. I did not pursue the matter, since we stayed in the hotel for only two nights. The television in the room had only Russian channels, so foreign tourists who know no Russian (probably most of them) have no television. The breakfast was OK, the usual variety of food, but not particularly "unforgettable".
