It was family weekend in Morehead so all rooms were booked. We thought we were very lucky to even find anything. Unfortunately nothing might have been better. Our room was filthy. The sheets were stained, the over blanket had holes, the night stand and even the telephone was just terrible. The were crumbs and torn paper on the floor under the desk...the entire room was disgusting. We talked with the staff about the issues and although they were nice they said there were no other rooms and no more linens and couldn't help us out. We ended up sleeping on top of the spread and used towels to cover up. The bathroom was mostly clean although the shower was really tiny, hard to even turn around in. Overall a really bad experience and far more dirt then just a oversight from the last guest.

Room was clean staff friendly and helpful no amenities they were listed but no refrigerator no microwave just coffee maker no remote tv good location close to where my family lives

Good place to lay my head while working, but wouldn't stay here for pleasure

This room was AWFUL...don't believe the pictures. First it was suppose to be a NON-SMOKING room, well guess what the walls were covered in smoke, we even opened the windows --- didn't help at all. We were suppose to have a fridge, NOPE nothing, the room was disgusting, I left a full bottle of Diet Pepsi when we went out for the day, came back it was drank and thrown in the garbage. I went to the office about all my complaints and they said that there was nothing they could do, because they were booked with workers from out of state at the time.

Close to the expressway, and convenient to my job, overall a decent place to stay

First room a/c did not work clerk moved us right away. second room ok iron burn on floor bur over all clean and average for 1 night...Marching Band at Morehead Univ that day wanted to chill

We requested non-smoking and stopped by the hotel on Saturday morning to insure that. The day manager assured me it was non-smoking. We came back in the evening and took the room 126. Immediately we could tell it was a smoking room also there was a crack wide enough at the bottom 30 inches of the door that a person could easily see inside our room but I found I could cover that with my suitcase. The smoke fumes were intolerable. I contacted the desk he suggested I check room 124. It was not as acrid as 126 so we accepted it. When my wife went to the restroom she noticed the toilet was soiled. We called the evening manager and he had no one to clean the toilet and offered us another room. I should have asked for credit and looked for another hotel but it was late in the evening, we had been on our feet all day and we were hungry. So I looked at 122. It was smoking too and just as bad as 126. So then I got key for 121. It was non-smoking and did not have any noticeable smoking fumes. The toilet appeared to be clean although the shower was not so clean and it had a remote for the TV which room 124 & 122 did not have. We accepted 121 and while we were out to eat stopped at Walmart and purchased bathroom cleaner and my wife cleaned all surfaces we would contact in the bathroom. When asked by the day manager at checkout I reviewed the story with her. She apologized and said if I would contact you guys she would credit me for 1/2 of the cost of the room. made that request via email to you yesterday 7/14/13.I have stayed at Days Inns in the Carolinas and never had a bad experience, The one in Morehead is in terrible condition and is dirty.

Our first impression was on how the staircase was closed because it was rotten. We were surprised at how the room did not smell like smoke, but more like old people. The sheets were old and ill fitted, but clean. The grocery store is nearby, as is the Walmart. Definitely eat at the Reno's pizza. Friendly staff and good food. Huge portions. The hotel itself was alright.

My boyfriend is an exterminator and the first thing he does it to check for bed bugs. When he pulled the covers back on the bed there was blood on the sheets. Room 227. Front desk apologized. Had no more king size beds, gave us room next door with queen. Air conditioner would not work, room was sweltering. Room 226. Front desk apologized again. Told her just to give me some clean sheets and we would make the bed ourselves in the first room. Removed bloody sheets and made the bed. Room smelled like stale smoke and was suppose to be none smoking. Stairwell in back was falling apart, they actually had it roped off. We had to use another at the far end of the building from our room. I would like some money back off this room if possible.

This is a basic hotel that is clean and has a friendly staff. No hassle on check in and efficient staff. Free Wi-Fi.

First room we were given had a toilet that was broken. I found the handle on the floor and the water was running. Was given a new room that was clean and nice, but the beds were old and worn out. It was a better room than the first. One set of steps were out of order.

We were instructors at Morehead State University. We had no time for anything else.

There was only on Hotel worker so sometimes I would have to wait for her to finish doing jobs to serve me. The ice machine was also broken and I had to wait in the lobby for the staff to return and fill my bucket from a cooler behind the counter. Also my recept shows a diffrent price than what I book on [...] so this was confusing and I now have to make sure I was not charged twice. Also both my hairdryer and towel rack were very loose and about to fall off the wall. And the hairdryer didn't work.
