We switched rooms because the first was dirty, there were holes in the shower wall that were still wet from being patched. Stains on the pillow. Spoon in the air conditioning unit. Lock was broken. They switched us right away after apologizing. Second room: pack light because there isn’t an elevator. Pregnant and carrying a bag up and down the stairs wasn’t fun...do-able but not fun! Black mold in second room bathroom, there are no exhaust fans in there. The refrigerator didn’t work. We had to ask for a trash can. Ceiling was peeling away. Both rooms had hard water stained in the shower and the showers were grimy. The nonskid mat in the shower looked like cardboard. The good things about the trip were the pillows were comfortable and the staff was helpful to the best of their abilities. We checked out early. Not worth the savings.
I have been a member of Choice Hotel's Rewards program since 2000. I have been upset that the chain has been increasing the number of points required for a free stay to the extent that it is triple what it was even a few years ago. We decided spur of the moment to go to the NC Seafood Festival in nearby Moorehead City for the weekend. I checked, and there was a Quality Inn for 10,000 points. Great! I want to use up all my points and not deal with the chain again, so spending 20,000 points for a weekend was great. Or. not. The grounds are ill-kept. The hotel says that it was renovated but that was only the lobby and the first floor. I was on the second floor which smelled of tobacco. All of it. The bed was sagging in the middle, the bedding was worn. When they re-did the lobby area, it was a fortunate choice for black countertops in the breakfast area. It took me a while to notice the roaches. I dumped the place of food I had gotten and ate only packages yougart. This is definately an example of you get what you pay for. I have another 25,000 points and I'm wary of using them. Stay away from this hotel!!
I will make my review, short and sweet. We checked into this Nasty Roach Motel. I complained about finding roaches in the room in middle of the night. Kam B General Manager, could never be found to meet with me. I complained several times, to the front desk. I was given another room, after the first night.. Big Deal, I demanded compensation from this Dive of a motel, in the end after complaining to The main Corporate center, I received one nights stay refund, that wasn't enough for me. The second room, was better, but not by much. Believe me, this cheap Nasty motel owner/ Kam B thinks he has won the battle, however, he only won the fight. I am going to let every contact I have, in the various organizations, that I belong to, not to stay at This quality Inn. I have already informed friends, that travel for government agencies, not to stay at this property, when visiting the MCAS at Cherry Point, NC. In addition, I have contacted my business contacts, that travel to The region on business, to avoid this Pig Pen of a motel.! I am personally going to Boycott the Brand Name. Ahh one more thing, the house keepers didn't make my room up for one night, during our stay either. Kam B doesn't represent Quality Inn Brand name our their guest treatment statement either. The statement in the guest folder, states, if your not happy for any reason, contact the front desk. We will make it Right.!! I hope Kam Reads this review, because, without a doubt, I wouldn't let this guy manage any business.! Oops, did I forget to mention, that Kam B is not just the Gen. Manager, he is also the OWNER! Any negative reviews here, are Dead on Accurate.
The rooms are dirty. The floors haven't been swept, plaster peeling off the walls. Mold on the ceiling. Smells like someone puked in the chair. Will never stay here again. They changed our original room because of uncleanliness and the 2nd is just as bad. The staff is really friendly but not worth the stay.
If I can rate it "0" I would!!! Horrible from the front door!!! We had two reservations and neither of the reservations were correct! My sister needed a handicap room and the Front Desk Clerk stated, "we had to give your room to someone else." So now we have to walk up flights of stairs!?!?!!! Ended up needing cash and she points me to the ATM, which was out of service! No elevators! No phone in room! Dangerous outlets! Menstruations (period) stains on chair and ottoman! Broken fixtures! Dirty Dirty Dirty!!! Coffee pot was absolutely disgusting!!! Is that mold near the ceiling? I am so done!!! We paid entirely too much for my family to stay in this nasty property! The Owner should be ashamed!!! Your website does NOT reflect this property! DISGUSTING!
Very nice and knowledgeable staff, nice TV in room, great water pressure in the shower, comfy bed and great breakfast. Even got a light workout in in the fitness room. I'd like to come back in the summer to use the pool. What else can you ask for?
OMG! This was one of the worse hotels we have ever stayed in. When we arrived to check in, the clerk said we were in room 110, a smoke and pet free room. I told him we booked the room online and indicated we travel with our 2 Shelties. So he changed our room to the back and on the second floor. The entry way was blocked open, There was trash in the stairway, the walls and floors were FILTHY and the hallway was shabby and dirty. Once in our room the floors were stained in the carpet areas. The drapes hung on very few hooks and let light in. They did little if any good. Also, there was water on the floor in the bathroom.....I had to keep a towel on the floor to keep my feet dry! The faucet in the sink came right out when you turned the water on or off. And, the security latch on the door was broken off. The only positive was the breakfast! This hotel is a classic example of how PET FRIENDLY hotels usually treat us! We paid $25 per night to have them with us. We should not get the worse room in the worse location! Our dogs behave better than most kids we see traveling and people don't pay more for them and get moved into the worse room!
the electrical outlets lose on wall and some had no covers. refrigerator didn't work correctly. there is no military discount and next to a military installation. the owner refused to do nothing about the refrigerator. no discount at all. would not recommend it at all.
We arrived late, walked into a lobby where the air was not working. When we inquires about our room we were assured that the air was already on and running. The room was about 80 degrees while the hallway had to be in the 90's. No exaggeration. Our room was dirty. The shower head was a mess. And the tub would not drain. Make your reservation and pay the extra to stay at holiday inn or Hampton.
The hotel was ok the lobby was clean. My room upon inspection was not. I had a dirty hand print on the shower wall and tub. There was a dirty water droplet on toilet. There was a smear of some sort of what could have been the big dead roach by bathroom door. I always carry cleaners so i wasnt going to complain, it was late at night however when I turned on the AC it blew hot air. I went to desk they were nice and gave me the room accros the hall. That room was clean with a clean smell no roaches and cold AC.
