Days Inn Montrose

We went to Montrose to buy an rv. That didn't work out but the hotel was very nice.

We had to stay the night after our flight got postponed due to weather. Our non-smoking room smelled so much like cigarettes that we kept the window open... in January... because it was nauseating. The door also wouldn't lock if we left. The key card worked but you could just push it open without it. It wasn't a huge deal since we were there for only a few hours overnight and the inside deadbolt worked but it would be problematic if we planned to leave at all. Overall I wouldn't rate it as a terrible experience but it was pretty bad.

This is located on a Main Street with lots of traffic but that makes it easy to get everywhere. We left the fan on in the bathroom to cut out all outside noise. They had offered me a quieter room on 2nd floor in back but had no elevator. So I took 1st floor with the chance of noise. Very nice breakfast and they are about to remodel the sunny breakfast room.

The hotel has a good position for a trip to the Black Canyon NP. Everything is good for me. Thanks.

When my daughter and I checked in, the clerk could not have been any nicer. The room was clean, the beds comfortable. Several hours after checking in my daughter took a shower, or tried to take a shower. The tub worked, but not the shower. I called the front desk and told them. I was thanked for letting them know. At no time was I told they were sorry or was I offered another room. An apology should have been given. Since there are other motels in the area, I believe I will be using one next year. Disappointing because I like Days Inn.

The hotel is in a good location, walking distance to downtown shops and restaurants. The room we were assigned was very small and looked like it was only partially cleaned. The carpet clearly hadn't been vacuumed in quite a while and there was a lot of dust between the furniture and walls. Over-sized furniture in the small room didn't help and we were constantly bumping into walls, doors and furniture. The parking lot was small and spaces quickly filled up with motorcycles of other hotel guests. It seemed the hotel was okay with one motorcycle parking per car parking stall. This was an annoyance and the hotel needs to designate motorcycle parking to free-up spaces for guest cars. Because of the motorcycle parking problem, we were forced to park in a lot on the back side of the hotel, away from our room and building. It was a bit of a walk. This was extremely disappointing. Complimentary breakfast was not good. No fresh fruit was offered and it was more cereal and muffins than breakfast. Would have been much better with fresh fruit (bananas, apples, oranges, etc) and granola or breakfast bars. The swimming pool area looked nice. There were covered tables and BBQ grills available for cooking. Despite the drawbacks, this hotel was a good value for the limited time we spent in our room.

A very good location for someone going to Black Canyon. Friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable rooms.

The rooms are a bit dated, and the hot tub was not in service. Room was clean and the staff nice. Location was good.

The receptionests where great free coffee day and night, Breakfast was great its the little things that count

The room was very clean, comfortable, and ready for us when we arrived. The staff were very helpful the whole time. The hotels Montrose location made it easy to get to nearby scenic towns like Durango, Silverton, and Telluride.

The room was very clean and the beds were nice and comfortable. Just as nice, if not nicer than some of the more high end hotels that we have stayed at in the past. The staff was very willing to help and answer all questions. Nice FREE hot continental breakfast in the mornings. Great restaurant next door, that gives $1 off their desserts if you show your room card. Motel had an outdoor pool and hot tub, but it was still a little chilly to be using the pool. Pool was a little small, but that is not really a big deal for us, but there was a nice patio area by the pool and hot tub to enjoy meals together or just relax while the kids swim. Loved the fact that I could hook up to the internet on my laptop without having to pay a daily hook-up fee. Will definitely stay there again and would recommend it to my family and friends.
