Families of 4 will love the King Family suite at Chateau St Marc, just a block off St Catherine. Clean, spacious room, with private entry to street - feels like your town home! Garage parking space just around corner was easy in/out so recommend reserve your spot ($20 Can./day).

Close to St. Catherine Street for all your needs, parking is out of the way. There is a lot of stairs to climb to get to your room, there is no access to an elevator. Third floor has a iron spiral stair case to get to your room. The employees are very helpful they will carry your luggage to your room and to your car. The imperial suite is very nice and spacious.

Staying here was fun and interesting. The room was clean, and the staff was excellent. Breakfast was good. The rooms are soundproof and keep the sound of the city outside when you're ready to rest. The hot tub was great. On the possible detractor list, parking was around the block, the shower was very small, and the advertised fitness area is a little ways away at a separate gym. All things considered we would stay here again.

I stayed in the "Presidential Suite." What fun! Especially because the room cost less than a regular room at the Holiday Inn four blocks away. The Suite is adjacent to the kitchen, but it was quiet, and no reason to fret about fire safety because the room has TWO balconies and a fire escape. Also two toilets, two showers, a jacuzzi, a soft king size bed. and fancy metal work on the ceiling. The furniture is dark wood and luxe, with eccentricities that one might expect in a rich uncle's house. For example, there was a large desk with a leather executive chair, but the chair was just a little too big for the desk, and wedged so firmly underneath, that you cannot actually pull it out to sit on. The Jacuzzi is luxurious in it's own room full of windows, but water pressure is such that it takes nearly an an hour to fill. Light switches are a challenge to find -- some in the center of a wall, instead of by a door, but they do have nice dimmers. Both showers work well, and everything was super clean. If you visit, opt for the "Presidential Suite" or "VIP Suite". The "Imperial Suite" is up a narrow spiral staircase, also in the kitchen area -- it might be a lovely space, but my knees hurt just looking at those stairs...

Beautiful hotel, breakfast was delicious. I would stay there a million times!!

Booked the king Jacuzzi. Got in, there was only a shower head/freestanding (?) shower! Oh oh! Went downstairs and asked the lady who worked front. She called the manager and we went back upstairs... once in the room, she showed me the secret entrance to the Jacuzzi! .. This was funnier in my head but nether less, awesome place would definitely book again

Very nice older hotel with very friendly staff. We ordered the continental breakfast and there was more than enough to eat. The room was quite comfortable and the bathroom lovely with a whirlpool tub and spa type shower. We could walk to restaurants on St. Catherine's street and taxis were easily accessible.

The check-in was very easy and quick and the staff was very helpful and friendly throughout our stay. The king suite was huge, clean and well prepared. After a long flight it was the right place to relax. Chateau St Marc has a very calm, comfy and private breakfast area upstairs. Breakfast was absolutely fine, very nice variety of everything you would expect. I highly recommend the Chateau St. Marc!

We loved the ambience of the hotel. The manager and staff made us feel welcomed and went out of the way to help us. The breakfast was more than anyone could ask for. My only negative thought is in the bathroom. Individual toiletries are far more hygienic than soap pumps.

Stayed on the first floor and had to put with a metal ceiling decoration that would vibrate and clank every time someone went up the stairs. Room was kinda clean, the breakfast pastries were stale everything else was ok. Budget business travel nothing more nothing less.

My New Year's trip was extended one day by a canceled flight. Got all the way to the gate and 30 seconds later was told all NY flights were canceled. Had to get a hotel quickly. Instead of checking back into the hotel I left three hours earlier, decided to take a chance. I wouldn't go back. It's a glorified bed and breakfast. Nice big rooms and would be great for a couple on a romantic weekend away. But not what I expected or wanted.

Great location for this hotel. Very walkable to Quebec's downtown area and easy to get to from the airport bus. The staff was great and very accommodating.

My wife and I booked a room in this hotel, mostly on the basis of the price and positive reviews, but also partly on the advertised whirlpool tub. On arrival, we were surprised to find that the checkin "desk" was actually the sink in the middle of a kitchen. There were many other minor oddities about this hotel, but the service was excellent and the breakfast was very good. Unfortunately, there was no whirlpool tub to be found, and the heat ran constantly, making for a very uncomfortable night's sleep. Overall, there was nothing specifically bad about this hotel, but I would not recommend it to travelers who are not looking for an adventure.

Thin walls could hear the front desk girl talking on her phone for hours. Metal decoration on the ceiling of my room vibrated every time somebody took a step upstairs. The bathroom could have been cleaned better.

Very warm and welcoming staff. Near old Montreal with very well appointed room. Downside is parking ( 2 blocks away and tight parking) and need to use underground or car to get to Notre-dame or Old Montreal. It would help if made clear that this is a bed and breakfast operated by a very helpful gentleman.

I love this hotel, perfect location, great staff, homey feel. Great value for a great hotel.

When we arrived, we were told that our room was flooded and they arranged for us to stay in alternate Hotel. Not the same experience at all but a comparable stay, Hotel Du Fort. I would recommend.

With this rated as a 5-Star hotel, I was shocked to discover that this is a B&B. if I had booked a B&B, I would have considered this to be lower than I would have liked. The owner and staff are trying to make this work. I wish them success.

While the people who run this hotel are lovely, it is definitely NOT a 5 starred hotel as advertized. If anything, it is a 2-3 star B&B. Not what we wanted when we booked our visit. The photographs are deceiving. We still can't figure out how the exterior photographed so nicely. We actually had to walk through another bedroom to get to ours. Most of the full breakfast was microwaved frozen food. Our balcony turned out to be more of an emergency exit at the back of the building. So, if you want to stay at a clean B&B, you might want to consider the Hotel Chateau Sant Marc. But if you want the services and amenties of a Five Star Hotel, don't be fooled by the advertizing and stay clear of this establishment. .

Our "room" turned out to be the equivalent of a small condo with king bedroom, large kitchen and living room, plus bath with shower. We were very comfortable and could spread out. The staff were exceptional with good advice on locations and sights as well as restaurants. Short two block walk to St. Catherine street which is the heart of shopping. Our next stay in Montreal will be back at the Hotel Chateau St. Marc.
