Baymont Inn & Suites Montreal Airport

If you need a cheap place by the airport the hotel is okay. The front desk staff was quite miserable and not helpful on where to go to eat or get a drink. In fact one of the hotel guests helped us out because they heard the interaction with the lady at the desk. The room was comfortable and clean enough. There is nothing near the hotel and would only stay there if I needed a quick place for a night to get back to the airport.

Despite having address, was difficult finding hotel. Econo Lodge sign visible, but hotel is recessed more than 100 yards back through a large parking lot that services multiple business. The hotel itself was unmarked and at night was so impossible to find, I had to call the hotel to get directions even though I was in parking lot. It's also on a one way street that makes it difficult to get to if you make a wrong turn. No restaurants in vicinity. Was close to airport. Also had several insect bites the day after I stayed there which resemble bed bug bites that I had at a hotel in the past. There was also a strange stale smell to the room. I am not one to complain about hotels, but I would not recommend this hotel at all.

I had to buy my dinner from a restaurant in Dorval, the bar consist of a beer cooler. You get your beer an pay for it at the reception desk There were bugs all over the floor in the bathroom, I could nor see any on the dark rug in the bedroom area..

The only thing I did not like the service in the morning around 6am the girl who worked there in July 4 she looked miserable and treat us very poorly and with attitude, She was also talking about a co-worker by phone when we get there, The girl who work the day shift an Indian girl was great friendly lovely sweet girl.

The room was very cold. The thermostat was locked in a tamper proof box, so. I called the front desk and they said they would send someone to adjust the thermostat, but no one ever showed up. Location is terrible. There is no dinning nearby, it is under the flight path for the Montreal airport (the room was reasonably quiet), and it is an "industrial" section of the city and hard to find. I'm glad I had Google maps to help me, but even that showed the hotel at the large sign next to the express way, while the hotel is actual a couple blocks away through a parking lot.

Need better breakfast and free shuttle services to areas around hotel.

The adage "you get what you pay for" comes into play here. The rooms are inexpensive, the accomodations are spartan, but for a short stay, it's worth it. The continental breakfast is adequate, and overall, for the money, you can't really complain!

During the hottest and most humid week in Montreal the Air Conditioning in the entire hotel did not function. I start with the good part. The room was clean and good size. the staff was friendly. The bad, the hotel is far from any shopping place, no where to shop around it. the ugly, I stayed there during a heat wave, it was 95 degrees F and there was NO aircondition, not even a fun,it felt like sleeping in a sauna. for this reason I wont stay there next time.

Overall it was a good stay.

The hotel looks a little bit old although it has gone thru renovation. Breakfast is quite simple. Rooms is OK but not great, you will notice it is just a budget inn.
