I stay here twice a year and it's always clean and the remodel is great. It's not shabby or run down and the rooms are large. It's a little pricey for a motel, but it's the best in the area.
The motel was ok. The clerk gave us some ideas on places to eat in the area, The breakfast could be improved.Outside of motel and walks need some attention.
For the price this location was a nice place to stay. Front desk was very friendly. Made adjustment for handicap. Had booked for other family members also and they very pleased. Located in a very small community, this hotel was a very pleasant stay for some very tired travelers
The first room I had the TV did not work and the desk clerk wanted me to try and reboot it. That didn't work so they gave me another room. The second room had a leaky sink faucet. When you turned the faucet on It ran water all over the counter top. Other then that the rooms and staff were fine. The place just needs a little TLC.
This was the last stop on our fall trip. Check in was easy and our room was ready, clean and comfortable for us weary travels. Restful and peace night appreciated after a long day of sight seeing and travel.
If you need to stop in Dumas, Arkansas, this is the place. Because this is the only place, is why it is here. I am just not much for vandals breaking car windows at night and mildew on my show curtain.
My wife and I always stay at the Dumas, Arkansas Days Inn for two important reasons. 1) The hotel is always clean. 2) The customer service is fantastic.
Let me start by saying- THERE IS NOTHING in this town, AT ALL. With that being said, it was surprisingly "ok" for the area but a bit overpriced for what you get. Stayed here 9/11/17. Rooms seemed updated, for the most part. TV was nice flat screen. Doors open to the outside and are a little flimsy. My room had an adjoining door but the deadbolt was rusted shut and didn't work. Only had a throw latch to secure. Bathroom was clean as was shower. Beds were reasonably comfortable. If I were passing through and had to stop, I'd stay again. The only real negative was the breakfast was ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. Pre packaged stuff, zero selection for the most part other than a waffle maker and some white bread for toast, 2 cereals and a few yogurts. There are ZERO breakfast places in this town so we ended up at McDeath which is across the parking lot. Overall, it gets 4 stars only because it was the only option in town. If you compared this to a hotel in Little Rock, it would get 2-3 stars.
I needed reservation for a very late arrival (midnight) and multiple day stay at a time when the the hotel was at maximum occupancy. Angela at the front desk was able to book my reservation for the late arrival and set me up for a multi-day stay (but in different rooms because of bookings at the time). By the time I checked in, Angela had found a way to keep my stay in the same room. Needless to say that made my stay much more pleasurable. Hats off to Angela (and the staff that ran the Continental Breakfast)!!
OK place to visit and people are great in getting what you need to make better the visit. Needs some work to make the visit Great place. Bathroom needs some work. Eating area could use some improvement. Overall it is a ok place to stay for the money you would pay. I would visit the property again.
