We called in late and we were still able to get a room. Very nice staff!

Stayed two nights in room with Jacuzzi had a good time staff was nice room was clean.

Good location for our needs, better than average breakfast, friendly staff

All was good. The staff was very nice. The breakfast was good.

I had a very nice stay here. The staff was courteous, the breakfast was excellent, and the room was comfortable.

Overall it was good. I find it curious that I have stayed there three times in the last couple of years and paid a different price each time ($135, $80, $90).

Hi this is the sencond time we have stayed at this hotel for a shopping trip to the area. This hotel seems to always provide what we need as far comfort when we are on these trips. we have stayed at a few other hotels in the area but they were pricey or not very nice to stay in. At the Country Inn we get a good clean, quiet room at a reasonable price. I stayed with my 2 kids, my son 17 and and daughter 12. She loves the pool and we like the location. It is close to our favorite place to eat (Buffalo Bills wings)and in between Mall of America an Abertville outlet stores. My only thing is we do not normally get up really early and the Continental breakfast is over at 9:30. We do not get up till about 9am so it makes it a little tight.

We checked in and went straight to the pool (which was actually nice and warm). The room was standard, but the bathroom was very spacious and extremely clean. They had a really nice continental breakfast...a LOT of variety of good food. It was a pleasant experience.

Please give us a refund for Saturday, 6/20. The room we ordered online did not go through as non-smoking. So they were able to provide a non-smoking room for us Wed, Thurs, and Friday, and we were on standby for a non-smoking room for Saturday. The smoking rooms smelled so bad that they were unacceptable. Staff did not let us know they finally had a non-smoking room on Saturday until we checked out, even though we asked a few hours in advance. So, we were lucky to find a non-smoking hotel room for Saturday at the Holiday Inn nearby. This happened at another hotel reservation we got in Fredericksburg, Texas, where the staff said it is common for guests to request non-smoking online and then the a smoking room shows up as requested on their end.

We regularly visit the Minneapolis area to spend time with our son and his family. Finding a clean, quiet hotel has sometimes been a problem. This hotel was a pleasant and welcome surprise. No nearby railroad tracks with trains running at frequent, regular intervals to keep us awake. Clean rooms, a good mattress and bedding, and soft towels were provided. The staff was pleasant and attentive to any needs we might have had. The breakfast bar was fair, but did include a Belgian wafflemaker-but just one. The waffles were popular with the baseball team that was also in the hotel, so it was hard to get into line to use the wafflemaker. They were worth the wait, but the hotel could use another wafflemaker! There was a plentiful supply of fruit, juices, coffee, bagels, cereals and bread as well as biscuits and gravy for those interested. They are welcome to my share. There are nearby restaurants and shopping. We will make our reservation there again for our next trip to Minnesota to visit our family.

It was December 24th. Our day had been full at our son's home for the holidays. We enjoyed grandkids, aunts and uncles, workmates and three dogs. Food was plentiful and delicious. Being silver-haired, we were pooped! Our son drove us a few blocks to our quiet retreat, "Country Inn and Suites by Carlson" in Elk River. We were greeted by a friendly young man and checked in. Within 20 minutes my husband had showered and was sound asleep. After my shower I crawled into our comfy bed with a book I received for Christmas. Hmm, the bed lamp was perfect for reading. The room was cool for sleeping with the easy-to-regulate controls. Next thing we knew, it was morning. Good, hot coffee to wake us up. What an array of breakfast items. Our Son picked us up shortly after calling him and we went on with our Christmas Celebration! Thank you CI&S for a quiet retreat in the midst of wonderful family chaos! We really enjoyed and appreciated you! Gramma and Grampa GG

The hotel was neat and clean. We did request adjoining rooms and were not given them. The adjoining room to ours appeared to be empty. The hotel was pretty empty so I believe it was just not looking that the staff did not comply with our wishes.

Very quiet stay. Will stay there again.

We were given a room that someone else was in and it was not cleaned. One of the pillows from one bed was on the other bed, dirty towel and opened soap in the bathroom. It disgusted me that they would put someone in a room that was not cleaned. The staff was helpful and apologetic and did up-grade us to a suite. After we were unloading our food in the new suite they gave us, we found an open can of soda in the fridge. Housekeeping needs to take a little more time cleaning the rooms.

Only problem is they didn't clean the room twice out of the 5 days we stayed, but they did give a 5% discount then.
