We were surprised at the elegance of the hotel and the rooms. The rooms were very nicely appointed and perfect for business travelers (lots of extras - big beds, comfy pillows, a desk, multiple outlets) and a fabulous HOT shower. The breakfast was amazing - fresh chilaquiles and a host other temptations -- and big pots of hot coffee.
My wife and I stopped here on our way to Puerto Vallarta ... as they were one of the only hotel that was pet friendly. we were happy that it was downtown and walking distance to several restaurants etc ... very friendly staff and good restaurant. Underground parking was a bonus. we would recommend it!
Modern hotel lack of personality some defects in rooms ex : Tel out of order changed me of room...then in new room 2 lights were out of order. Personal helpful at the second request - breakfast very very very poor for the price and low quality. When included beware not to pop down after the time limit. You will be charged unless you speak with the hotel manager.
Clean, place nice staff, great wifi, average breakfast (included), but they charge $60 pesos for wider variety food options. Recommended for families or business travel. Several other food options nearby. Needs some maintenance but otherwise it's a good option for a small business meeting.
Good staff but bad facilities. The elevators malfunctioned during our stay on Saturday only 1 of 3 elevators worked and during our entire stay only 2 out of 3 elevators worked. The last day of our stay the fire alarm "malfunctioned" turning on 3 times between 11pm and 9am. There is no elevator from the parking area to the lobby you have to take the stairs and if you park in sub level 2 you have to take some weird tiny spiral stairs. The free breakfast is decent with eggs, toast, coffee and juice. The staff is quite nice and helpful they deserve better facilities management and development in order for the hotel to thrive. They also need to update their AC units they are loud as an eighteen wheeler. Room service is lacking and over priced took close to an hour and a half to get two orders of tacos and a guacamole. once it arrived the tacos were missing their side items and that took another 15 minutes. The tray sat outside the room for close to 24 hours before someone finally took it even though I called them when we were done.
DONT GO HERE!!!! STAY ANY PLACE ELSE !!! The service was very bad, the people in the front desk didn't have any clue about our reservation. We made the reservation via the Internet and the people of the LQ inn lost out reservation, when we called they told us that our room was not available. After a long discussion with them they put us in other hotel, but the "new" hotel didn't have air conditioning in the restaurant and the elevators were not working.
For a couple of days its really good not for a long stay was there for 2 nights its walking distance from the center of monterrey, the breakfast is really good it is just sad that its so early like its from 6 to 9 weekends are 7:30 to 10am some people like to wake up late and wont have the free breakfast algo if youvwant pancakes or eggs a spefic way you have to pay its not included its comfortable i just liked that ita close to the center where paseo santa lucia is at a good five blocks would stay again for a short trip
This hotel location is the only great thing it has, plus the room size, haven said that, the parking lot looked and smelled like a sewer, the personnel wasn't that nice, the breakfast that's included was terrible, no taste and I can swear I got sick out of it, stayed just for a night, and was glad that the nightmaare did not last!... the property needs a lot of maintenance looks like it was "Fiesta Americana" before, and all they did instead of changing a lot of things were just painting over them, up to the shower seemed that was there for more than 30 years old, not recomended
I am staying for a long term in this hotel and pros/ cons for a long term stayer: Pros: - location: right near the center of the city with two major roads on two sides of the hotel - Complementary breakfast: buffet arrangement with milk/cornflakes, bread/eggs/beans and fruits. This saves time in the morning and provides the required energy to start a day. - In-house Gym Cons: - No Laundry self service facility. The hotel provided laundry facility is costly as it is always. Using a nearby laundry service which is reasonably priced. - no kitchen. This makes me dependent on outside food or light snacks.
I have no legs, I have prosthetics, and there is no elevator to reach the lobby. It was a pain to walk from the parking, in no literature they mentioned this. They provided no help for luggage to be brought up.
