We needed two rooms in Monterrey near the hospital for us and my brother-in-law that could take us late at night. They got us in and settled but sadly the room disappointed. I have to agree with the other reviews here, that the hotel has a great staff, the rooms were generously sized, and they even found a parking spot for our over-sized travel van. However, we had to call the desk to get hot water for the room in the shower and there were many defects in the tiles and wallpaper making us feel that there were bigger issues than paint in the room we did not see.
It is ok, the food is bad it made me sick twice, the room is old and is really dark at night. the bathroom is really small and you can't regulate the temperature, the AC is really really old and it was malfunctioning, I would never stay here again.
Very well located, good service but old instalations. The elevators did not work well and its not as confortable as would have expected. Very good breakfast but same food every day and not many dishes to choose from.
Overall the staff was friendly and accommodating. The room was in poor condition, the towel racks were coming off the wall and the A/C unit was not sealed against the wall. The food at the restaurant was not that great and the breakfast lacked choices. This probably one of the worst hotels I have stayed that is part of the La Quinta chain. The only thing good again was the friendly staff.
Good value for the price. They have to improve the food in the buffet. The gym is completely useless. Not so easy to find for Uber/Cabify services due to the location. Not very secure location at night.
staf not to friendly, my room not to good ( chair w/ arm broken, no trashcan in room, toilet completly loose from floor, bath towells very old (important fatigue) RECPTION STAFF NOT TO FRIENDLY, elevators not working only one of 3
It is a very nice hotel for a good price. Parking is not the best though as it in underground and hard to drive through. They also charge extra per person staying which is ridiculous since they said our 2 bedroom room was only for 1 person so we had to pay extra. I would use them again because it was clean and close to the area we were visiting.
We were surprised at the elegance of the hotel and the rooms. The rooms were very nicely appointed and perfect for business travelers (lots of extras - big beds, comfy pillows, a desk, multiple outlets) and a fabulous HOT shower. The breakfast was amazing - fresh chilaquiles and a host other temptations -- and big pots of hot coffee.
My wife and I stopped here on our way to Puerto Vallarta ... as they were one of the only hotel that was pet friendly. we were happy that it was downtown and walking distance to several restaurants etc ... very friendly staff and good restaurant. Underground parking was a bonus. we would recommend it!
Modern hotel lack of personality some defects in rooms ex : Tel out of order changed me of room...then in new room 2 lights were out of order. Personal helpful at the second request - breakfast very very very poor for the price and low quality. When included beware not to pop down after the time limit. You will be charged unless you speak with the hotel manager.
