This has to be the smallest room that I have ever bee to in the Best Western group, We stayed two adults and two children and we barely fit in it. Other than that we have a good experience overall during our stay. The swimming pool is excellent and the location of the hotel is perfect to reach any part of the city without any problem.
Clean hotel, comfy beds, staff friendly - met all my expectations. Easy access to pool is convenient for unwinding after work. Restaurant attached to hotel is okay. But, if you're looking for American cuisine, I can recommend Bobby Good Burgers down the street. Take a cab or Uber. Nice place to grab and burger and watch sports.
I was during a work trip, and someone else picked this hotel for me, probably they hate me haha Positive: 1. Great beds 2. Basics included (iron, coffemaker, AC, TV) 3. Swimming pool Negative: 1. No bellboy, so i had to move my suitcases to the second floor trough the stairs. 2. Terrible internet service 3. No way you can open a window, so, no fresh air 4. Room smelled terrible, very humid 5. No correct instructions on the safebox 6. A lamp without a light (????) 7. Incredible very small bathroom 8. The lady that is the boss of the maids, not sense of service and rude, when a Hotel is all about service, she almost kicked me out of my room cos i was there after the official check out, even when i asked for time to get my things prepared, and, i didnt see the kine of people waiting fora room 9. Restaurant, terrible 10. Very poor breakfast So, i really wouldn't recommend this place, only if you do have very low expectations.
They provided breakfast from 7-10 a.m., which was really good. They also had a pool on-site. They had a restaurant attached to the hotel (did not eat there). The hotel security was a nice add-on. They had tablets. printers, and computers available in the lobby. Free wi-fi, once you created a Best Western account. The hotel was located near the outskirts of town, not too far out, not too far in. It was also located near one of the railway stops, which was a short walking distance. There was a pharmacy store near by, as well as a taqueria style restaurant. The hotel rooms included a TV, around 32" maybe. Our hotel room had two queen sized beds and one bathroom. If you need an iron, they will lend you one. They have hair dryers for your lady guests. At night, the guards close the entry doors to the parking lot, which gave us an extra cozy feeling. The beds were kind of hard. Maybe because I have a memory foam mattress at home and I am not used to the springs anymore, but it just felt hard. The city was a different world. Just full of lots of people, it was very hustle and bustle. We went to several different tourist attractions. The railway was our main means of transportation, and the cheapest. It was pretty cool, you could get from the outskirts of town, to downtown within 10-20 minutes, depending on where you were getting off. The hotel was not cheap, I think it was about 100.00 bucks a night. I guess because it is a big name hotel chain. All in all, it was a great experience to revisit a place I hadn't been since childhood.
I reserve a double queen and got a single queen. When I asked if they could switch me to double queen they stated none available. I asked for single king and same answer none available. Why make reservations if they are not going to give you what you ask for. The room was clean, but outdated. The single queen bed was not comfortable at all. I do not recommend anybody stay at this hotel.
Good location for my business activities, ample parking right next to room. Friendly staff. Rooms well insulated from noise. Good internet connection. Fine restaurant except breakfast a bit Spartan. Have stayed there for more than a decade about twice a year and will definitely be back. Overall good value.
This hotel is in the main avenue in Monterry, Ave. Universidad, its not close to downtown, and its in the distric of San Nicolas de los Garza. Its a clean hotel, but little, the rooms are clean, but smell awful, they have good air conditining, and include free wifi and free breakfast. The cafeteria there is nice, but the service is not good, they are just harrasing you with the breakfast tickets so you wont go without paying.
As usual, this hotel room was clean and nice. House keeping staff were very friendly, asking if everything was OK. Checking in took a bit longer than I expected, since I had reserved the room a few days and advance. We enjoyed the grounds and overall exterior which was well kept, overall my wife and I enjoyed our stay. Restaurant staff seemed a bit tired - not smiling - on Sunday morning when we arrived for breakfast. Food was good and tasty, again, the staff seemed not ready, long faces and slow. Very convenient when traveling to Monterrey.
They don't respect the announced promotions on Internet or at the front desk, they lie and the included breakfast buffet is really terrible. I hated the front desk guy and the experience in general. Awful place, very old sheets and towels. Sad visit to Monterrey.
we normally prefer non-chain hotels but this fit the bill when we were on the final leg of a 4 week trip to mexico and didn't want the hassle of negotiating city streets on our last night before crossing the border. motel is modern with attractive glass arch over reception parking area. otherwise, laid out like an american motel with spacious courtyard parking. rooms are large with two queen beds and big bathroom. all mod cons - hairdryer, tissues, etc. room was $65 for two. hotel is very easily reached from northern periferico (if you're driving between saltillo and neuvo laredo). only downside is lack of nearby restaurants. the hotel has a restaurant and bar but we dined at a restaurant specializing in cabrito just a couple of blocks south - ok, but we were the only customers. breakfast at the hotel was included and fantastic - wonderful selection of juices, fresh fruit and hot entrees catering to the 99% mexican clientele - papas con rajas to die for, eggs with ham, and more. delicious. if i was here again, i'd have dinner at the hotel restaurant.
