This first-floor apartment is part of a historic site, Casa Bucci, which has been sensitively restored and converted into a holiday home. The apartment, which sleeps 8, offers an authentic Tuscan experience for family or friends who want to relax, eat well and enjoy the culture of one of the most beautiful regions of Italy.

The spacious living room, with a terracotta tiled floor, has been tastefully decorated. It is furnished with a sofa and armchairs, with an open fireplace and antique wooden furniture, including a large wooden dining table and chairs.

The separate kitchen which has contemporary fitted units and a beautiful antique dresser, is well-equipped with a cooker hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, American coffee machine and fridge/freezer. There is also a dining table in the kitchen for snacks or casual meals.

The fenced garden is equipped with a barbecue and a shaded dining table for outdoor dining. For children, there are games and a sheltered play area.

Bedroom 1: This charming bedroom is decorated in subtle neutral colours with a double bed, hanging rail and more antique furniture.
Bedroom 2: A light-filled bedroom, with a stylish double bed, chest of drawers and antique bedside tables.
Bedroom 3: A cosy bedroom furnished with a double bed, wardrobe and flatscreen TV.
Extra: The sofa in the living room converts into a comfortable double bed.

Bathroom 1: The spacious, tiled bathroom, has a full bath with a shower head, double basins, bidet and WC.
Bathroom 2: Another airy bathroom which is fitted with a glass shower unit, basin and WC.

Location
In quiet countryside, just 10 km from Siena’s Piazza del Campo, the property was once a fortified religious centre near the Via Francigena, which connected France to Rome and on to Puglia, the port of embarkation for the Holy Land. Via Francigena is now an interesting hiking route.

Siena is not to be missed. Its palaces, museums and stunning striped cathedral make a fascinating day trip. Every year on 2nd July and 16th August one of the most famous \"Medieval jousts\" the \"Palio di Siena\" takes place and the excitement is tangible. The city’s daily markets are also worth a visit, for antiques, leather goods and the best local produce to cook at home. Elsewhere in the region there a wonderful vineyards where you can taste and buy the famous Chianti wines.

Florence, the cradle of the Renaissance, is just 1 hour away and offers some of the finest galleries, museums and architecture in the world. Other towns worth visiting are San Gimignano (35 minutes), famous for its many towers, and, for “Twilight” fans, Volterra (50 minutes), a fascinating town with Etruscan roots.

The closest airports are Florence, 55 minutes drive, or Pisa, which is 1 hour and 30 minutes away.
