Location is fantastic. We really appreciated the complimentary breakfast and wine & cheese hour. I did find it was consistently under stocked and wonder why on a holiday weekend, the hotel wouldn't double the supply since everyone was waiting around like a cafeteria. Additionally, I found it so odd that the MINUTE the clock hit the hour, the service staff rushed out to remove everything. They provide games by the fire and have an outdoor fire-pit which is really nice. Because the hotel rooms are surrounding a courtyard, the noise level could be very disruptive. The noise level of the people in the courtyard at 7 am was unacceptable. There were young kids screaming, which is understandable if you have young children, however not at 7 am and not in the middle of the property, waking up all the guests. The front desk should have handled that and asked the family to move inside or quiet down. Parents who cannot keep control of their children shouldn't be excused just because staff doesn't want to handle the situation, it ruins the experience of other guests who are trying to have a relaxing stay. A very important note to make is that we brought our dog with us and were very happy to be able to do so. However, we were not informed until check in that the dog was never allowed to be in the room without us. That is seriously an issue that should be presented prior to arrival. If someone has a wedding or event to attend, how can it be expected that their dog accompany them?
