Silly me, I was not aware that everyone had to travel in one car. This establishment would not allow us to park a second car. We asked to pay for a space and they said "no". My niece was forced to park elsewhere. This was difficult because there was the county fair going on, all spaces are metered and clearly state no overnight parking. She was able to purchase a parking space at the nearby Travelodge. Kudos to them.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at the Ramada Inn. The staff was friendly, the rooms clean, and the breakfast enjoyable. However, I would request an upstairs room or room without an upstairs neighbor because the rooms are very loud. Also, through no fault of the hotel the county fair was going on right behind us with grandstand events until 10 pm. If you were attending no big deal but if you had a sleepo ng 1 yr old like us it was a little difficult.

Always clean, friendly staff, great breakfast and now it's been completely remodeled even better. We have staying here 5 years in a row for Sea Otter and will continue to do so.

This is the second year (2016 & 2017) that my wife and I stayed at this location. Quite night sleep, noisy in the morning (trash day and three small planes flew overhead at 6:30 am, 6:45 am, and 7 am). Parking was not an issue, bed was soft (not too soft), plenty of TV channel for news and entertainment, and very close to stores, restaurants, and other tourist traps. Good continental breakfast and room enough in their small dining area. Easy check-in (prepaid) and check out. We have plans to stay here next Spring Break.

Have stayed here before. They have done extensive upgrades to the property. New carpeting in room, bathroom shower and sink new. Wifi connections far better than in the past. The breakfast room redone with a new tables and chairs and a bar with stools.

Unhelpful. Rude. Arrogant. Said there was a problem, and insisted I had to call Orbits to fix. Would not look at my email info from Orbits which explained problem.

Poorest customer service. Have never called corporate to get help to check in. Had 6 rooms prepaid. The manager told me: 1. He couldn't do it, even though my email had all names for each reservations, but he wouldn't look at my emails-- said if it wasn't in his computer, it wasn't right. 2. Insisted I call orbits. 3. Told me to cancel reservations. Get a room elsewhere. In all my hotel bookings if there was a problem-staff has always bent over backwards to fix a problem. I have never been demanded to call and fix it myself--or have my 6 reservations canceled.

It was a quick stay - clean but not great. Down the street there was SWAT at another hotel - so the area didn't seem great. Didn't try the food or anything. It was a quick stay - clean but not great.

The standard room (2 queen beds) was spacious and clean. The room was much better than it appeared from the outside. The outside of the hotel looked old but the room was very nice and looked newly renovated. I can actually walk barefooted on the carpet. My only concern was most of the parking spaces were quite narrow for a big vehicle such as Ford Expedition and the number of parking spaces were limited. For a car, the parking space should be adequate. Other than that, I was very happy with this hotel.

Hotels in Monterey are always expensive, but this place is still cheaper than most places. It's not a luxury place at all by any means, but the staff is very friendly and will go out of their way to help you in the best way they can. A+ for service.

The walls are thin, floor was creaky, Found hair on my towels and pillow. Bathroom could have been cleaner.

Went for artichoke festival. Was great location and included breakfast.

Went for a festival at the fairgrounds, hotel is just a block away so we were able to return for breaks from the heat. Rooms seemed to be remodeled and were very nice. Will stay here every time we need a room near the fairgrounds. Breakfast was nice too, but a little crowded.

I am in Monterey a least once a month on business, and have stayed in many hotels over the last 15 years. The Ramada Inn. was nice, staff was helpfull and pleasant, and theroom was clean. The parking is a little challenging, as it is a cramped area and the huge planter halfway up the driveway seems like it was out there to make everyones life miserable. If you have a trailer, boat. your only choice is street parking which puts your vehicle in a less than ideal situation for theft and vandalism. Otherwise it is a nice place to stay.

I have stayed at this location twice. The staff is friendly & helpful. The room was clean & comfortable. It was a good choice during the holiday while visiting family in the area. The hotel is close to the freeway and to the airport.

Thank you for the recent review. We apologize that we were unable to accommodate multiple vehicles for your room. Our property has sufficient parking for one vehicle per room. The street parking is available without parking restrictions, but due to the Monterey County Fair, those spots were already full. We hoped you enjoyed the rest of your trip to Monterey.

nice hotel but...

easy access to laguna seca

excellent spring break visit

This is the second year (2016 & 2017) that my wife and I stayed at this location. Quite night sleep, noisy in the morning (trash day and three small planes flew overhead at 6:30 am, 6:45 am, and 7 am). Orbitz had made all the reservations under one name, so upon check in, when names of the individual guest names were given, we had no records of the reservations.
