Ramada Marina

Business trip. I have stayed in many hotels. For the price I found hotel super spacious, clean, attentive staff. Breakfast area clean and spacious. Nice work out area. Marina state beach within driving distance as well as fisherman's wharf. However, not walking distance to attractions. There are small walking trails with wild life such as ducks in a marsh area. Many restaurants and shopping areas..walkable.

I stayed at the Ramada in Marina for two nights. The price was right and the room was big. The staff member who checked us in on Friday evening was very friendly and helpful. However, the walls are paper thin. We heard noise from the people next to us, and could even clearly make out conversation from the rooms above us and below us. When I politely asked the front desk for ear plugs, the man did not understand my request and when I explained further that the room was very noisy and I wanted to block out the noise, he didn't seem to care. I know he could not do much, but I would have appreciated a quick "I'm sorry." At a nicer hotel, generally the front desk people will offer to call the noisy rooms and tell them to quiet down, particularly if it is past midnight as it was. Bring ear plugs or just stay somewhere else.

We have a very nice experience. Spent the night in Monterrey as a 1 day get away and had a ball. The staff was nice and the room was clean and well stocked.

I stayed at this Ramada Inn last year and was so happy with the cleanliness and general feeling of the hotel. The staff was also very nice and helpful. This time was different and I was so disappointed. Upon entering the room I noticed a very strong "men's deodorant" type smell; the room seemed to not have been tidied as much as I am used to. The mirror had smudges, the faucet fixtures were not shiny, the bathroom counter had items to use, but they were not put in an orderly way. I got the feeling that the staff had only gone over it quickly and removed and replaced what was necessary without checking (TO BE FAIR, I did ask to check in a bit earlier than the normal time). We had a double KING room and the beds were quite comfy, but the bathroom was, I suppose, for handicapped persons and was not very welcoming. The fan in the bathroom was covered with dust as well, and the window curtain and notepad had unsightly brownish smudges on them. So, with some problems due to my coming early, I still feel that they need someone to ensure the rooms and facilities are CLEAN AND UNIFORMLY SO to be able to support the Ramada name.

Room was great but people above us had noisey children

I was just passing through and didn't need much. But the Ramada Inn was a great deal. I'd stay there again.

Upon walking in I had reason to be hopeful as the lobby area was very clean and the Front Desk staff was helpful(when available). Location was somewhat ideal, Close to the freeway and in between Big Sur and Santa Cruz, but unfortunately the room did not live up to these expectations. First, it did not look as though it had been vacuumed thoroughly after the previous guest as there were still crumbs and bits of trash on the carpet. I could live with this and the random stains on some of the hardwood furniture .. However what I found on the bed was far more troubling. I observed what looked to be a large urine stain on the 2 bedding sheets (Photos Attached). This level of sanitation or lack thereof is not something I would expect from even the lowest quality Hotel chain but much less from the Ramada This was discovered late at night and we were very tired after an entire day of travel. We Felt it best to tell housekeeping in the morning during their daily cleaning.. I informed house keeping of the issue but when i returned to the room late Sunday night I found the room to be in the same condition as when we had left..I was unable to get in contact with front desk in order to fix this 2 day old issu

We have previously stated at this hotel, and enjoyed our stay. This visit, however, while we were happy with the staff we encountered, the cleanliness of the bathroom was less than satisfactory. The toilet had not been fully cleaned before we arrived (we had checked in close to 5pm, so it had not been rushed by our arrival). There was hair inside two of the folded towels and along the walls of the shower. We are considering trying another hotel on our next visit, but the conteniental breakfast and location are hard to beat. Definitely give it a try if you haven't stayed there yet, this was the first out of about a dozen trips where we weren't completely satisfied.

Perfect location and much cheaper than hotels in Monterey. Bathroom stopper didn't work, weak hot water. Long wait for room to be ready so don't arrive early. Can be noisy is room is facing road. Overall, great value.

The room was clean, but the bathroom looked like it had been cleaned as an afterthought. The faucet was dirty and the toilet could have been cleaner. We stayed in a room with a king bed and a couch with a pull out bed. The king bed was ok, but the pull out bed was extremely uncomfortable. Plus, all the pillows were lumpy. All that aside, the staff were friendly enough, there were tons of brochures with ideas of things to do, and the continental breakfast was well stocked and pretty good.

Really close to Monterey. The only down was the young guy who checked us in was rude and the bathroom tub was discussting but the room it self was clean. Overall it was a good stay.

The positive on this hotel was the very nice gentleman that checked us in. Friendly & jovial. The breakfast had choices-waffle maker, fruit, cold cereal & muffins. The downside was the cleanliness & room condition. I pulled back the comforter to watch tv & the sheets were worn thin. So much so they were torn in 4or 5 places. The faucet in the bathroom had toothpaste on it from the prior occupant & there was enough cereal on the floor to make a small bowl!! The a/c worked but was very noisy. If you need white noise to sleep then this was perfect. I had been up since 4am & it was now 8pm therefore too exhausted to call & change rooms. Assumed all the others would be the same anyway & was leaving early the next morning. I did remove the sheets from the bed & left a note stating that it should probably be thrown out! Hoping my room was just an anomaly & based my decision to stay off the 4 stars given by others but gave my stay a 2.

people at front desk were very nice and helpful. The hotel is located in a convenient location and the front desk provides map for surroundings. We drove to downtown Santa Barbara and had dinner at one restaurant the staffs recommended. Overall it was a wonderful experience and I would definitely choose ramada for future trips.

The room was very quiet and large. The bed was comfortable and the decor pleasant with a good refrigerator and microwave. The staff was helpful at all times. Close to the beach and many restaurants, we will stay here again.

Manager helpful, staff friendly and courteous. Location about average.

We needed a room just for a night around Monterey. The location was great, we were close to the aquarium and cannery row in Monterey plus tons of restaraunts. Santa Cruz was also close. The room was above average size, had a king size bed and a love seat. The continental breakfast was actually my favorite part about it. The fresh made waffles (you literally put the batter in the griddle yourself), delicious selection of pastries, coffee, oh, yogurt....it was all delicious. And a perfect breakfast if you're going skydiving on Hollister! Nothing too heavy but just filling enough!

Impressed with this hotel. Staff was friendly and accomodating. Shared a 2 queen room, had all we needed, frig, coffee pot, flat screen tv with good cable channel selection. Plenty of room to move around. Recommend room on back side of hotel, as street side is noisey.Continental breakfast is adequate. Good clean hotel with bargain rate for Monterey area.

The hotel is in need of an update and reminded me of the 80's. There were no towels in the room when we arrived. The bathroom was worn and the toilet cistern was so loose we thought it would collapse. Despite a 12 o'clock checkout time the cleaning staff were knocking on the door at 9.45.

We chose this hotel because of the location which was close to family. It was very comfortable, the staff was very friendly, it was quiet, and the breakfast area was clean and the food choices were adequate. Would definitely stay here again.

Great and easy place to stay. Hubby was able to use the gym till 9pm and the next morning as well. Friendly staff, very quick with the prota crib. Great stay!
