The property really had a ‘resort’ feel about it. The outdoor area between the main building/lobby and the annex with the pool/parking/gym had lots of outdoor seating, eating options and pier access. Rey in the dining room was excellent and it was fun watching him interact with kids/ guests at other tables. Excellent wait staff if not easy to find these days, he’s a keeper! An early morning visit to the pool/hot tub was really pleasant as well.

Pet friendly

You can’t beat the location; so much to do and see, all within walking distance. The room was light and airy and very comfortable. Staff is wonderful. This is my new favorite spot in Monterey!

Great property and staff. We initially had some issues with the reservation not being in the system. The front desk quickly got into action to figure out the issue. Within 10-15 minutes they found the reservation and settled us in for an early check in. Hotel overall is feast and is close and waking distance to many places. Parking you do pay for but does give you in and out access. I also found the shower head to be a bit too low flow. Although the pool is heated it’s not very well heated. Other than that it’s a great hotel worth considering if you plan a trip to Monterrey.

Nice place to stay while in Monterrey. Central location, close to the wharf and access to transportation to Cannery Row.

Very nice property. Great location. Great room.

Very disappointing experience. Not as luxurious as they claim. Definitely not 4 star worthy. First, they are a dog-friendly hotel which they advertise to be their biggest plus. It really is not, as it is a dog-friendly town and lots of hotels are too. Second, you cannot leave the dogs in the hotel room unattended, even if you want to head out for a meal. This little detail was conveniently missed out on their website and only revealed when checking in. Taking our dogs with us for lunches and dinners made our choices of restaurants extremely limited. We were only able to go to places that offered outdoor seating and this was in December. Third, their guest services staff were not only unhelpful, but outright rude. One of them even hung up on me as I was talking to her. I had to dial back to finish asking my question about their extremely slow internet. Fourth; and this trumps all others; they claim that the $50 per night pet fee is to clean up after them. And yet, we found a tick on one of our pets in the hotel room. Not only did we have to sanitize everything we brought with us to the hotel, but we are faced with sanitizing the entire house now to make sure the other ticks were not brought back. We have two dogs and that is the last thing we need. For the $ we paid, we really did not deserve this. Do NOT go to this hotel. What a mess!

TV didn’t work properly kept losing signal! Fan is room would start without turning it on, strange. Lamp missing from headboard area. Room seemed smaller than other rooms.Room is a Dead zone for cell phones. Couldn’t get a signal had to go to lobby to use my phone!

I like that there are many things to do and see close by the hotel within walking distance

Location was awesome, staff were really helpful and polite. Pool is oddly located across a public square/street. They also have restaurant dining right by the entrance so you’ll be walking in a towel or robe across that street and people eating on your way to the elevators. We had ants in our room in the morning. The AC was set low how we like it and we returned to a hot 78 degree room, not what we set it to. Room refrigerator was missing a leg so it wobbled every time we opened it. But you’re right by the wharf and downtown. There is also a great bike/walking trail a couple blocks up that goes right to canary row and the aquarium. For the price it was ok.

It was very nice, as I knew I knew it would be. And it has the best location in Monterey. The only issue we had was the shower in our room. It would randomly go cold for a couple seconds, it would not stay warm. It’s not even something I would usually complain about, but this hotel is quite expensive, so these aren’t issues I would expect them to have.

Happy with my stay!

I was disappointed in this hotel given the price. The check in time was listed at 4pm but the room we booked was not ready on time. Also, the hotel is overrun with people and their dogs. There was a large dog in the room next to ours and it was barking into the early hours.

The hotel - service and property - was wonderful. I didn’t enjoy dinner at their restaurant Jacks.
