We prepaid for our stay, otherwise we would have left. Dirt everywhere in the room, leaky faucet. Light-brown water instead of coffee. Insufficient parking, had to park in the street.

Nice stay, good location, breakfast was good. The price was right too. Room was clean, but floor needed a good mopping. The front desk staff were very nice and helpful though. They promptly came to change a burned out light when requested. Very responsive. You get what you pay for, so.... No complaints

This hotel is close to downtown Monterey and offered a very inexpensive room rate. However, the room smelled odd, the stairs were littered with gum wrappers and cigarette butts, and I was quite appalled to find dirty sheets both nights that we stayed. I specifically requested clean sheets the second day because of the issue we found the first night, and we only found another dirty sheet issue our second night. In addition, note that the hot tub advertised on the website was out of order. I would not stay here again, and would not recommend it to other travellers. Also, the staff disappeared for a bout beyond the "back in 10 minutes" notice left in the morning, so that we wasted our time waiting to talk to someone.

Overall, this place is very nice and cleaned. Recommended to others.

Sparks was closed down by order of health department. Reserved room for 3 and they tried to give me a King Bed. Then the clerk was rude about it.

Friendly staff, easy check in . Clean rooms. Restaurant s and stores nearby. Bed was a little too soft and my back was a little stiff the next day but it was adequate.

Though the price was very good, it was not a place I would choose again. All the amenities were there but they were extremely unclean...........dirt at the head of the bed, mold and dirt debris on the small refrigerator and microwave.....the floor was so dirty, I only walked in slippers....same in the bathroom....Then there was the banging against the wall by a worker who was planning on painting the room next door. You could hear anything that was said as the walls were so thin. Overall this trip was great as long as you were not staying in the room!

Even tho the location was a little out of the way for visiting my mother at her SNF in Pacific Grove, the price and the ability to be close to shopping was great. I was a little discomforted by the argument between street people nearby but it was resolved.

This is byfar the worst hotel we have ever stayed. The hotel rooms are small cuby holes, lumpy beds, constant noise from the street. Seems the owner doesnt even care... - Never again. Donot Go to this place.

Good value for this money. I would recommend this.

Passing through and needed a place to sleep. Ideal location and convenient.

Everything is OK. Price is reasonable. Breakfast is actually better compared to other similar places.

We've stayed at this hotel before. The location is great & the staff is really nice. Part of the hotel is fairly new and the other rooms have been remodeled. It super clean, comfy beds, has a Jacuzzi and is close to everything. Breakfast is pretty good with the usual waffles, cereal, yogurt. The eating area is really small though so I just took breakfast back to our room. Really good value for the price.

went to relax and enjoy the weather. great place to stay relax and enjoy the beach

lighting and heater in the room left something to be desired. They were in disrepair although they worked they did not work well. A hole in the wall was patched but was showing that the patch job did not work. The continental breakfast was nice the day we made it down in time to get it but the space for it was limited when shared with another family.

The decor was so needing to be updated that I was almost ready to reconsider staying, but my kids convinced me that it was ok to stay. In the morning everyone commented on how well they slept, the beds were comfortable. The shower was nice and the breakfast was satisfying. Just missing some fresh fruit. We were not looking for a resort experience, just a place to sleep before we went to the next amusement. Wireless Internet service was available, but very slow.

It's in a sort of gritty neighborhood with lots of Mexican and Asian restaraunts. The hotel next door is abandoned.

...the in room frig made a wide and varied selection of noises that woke me up all night. There was no hot water in the room. But the staff was very polite and professional.

The hotel is a drive from Monterey & the attractions there, but if you have your own car it doesn't matter much. The rooms were very tiny. We had a pac-n-play for our baby & had to put it in front of the door because that was the only spot. The room was very drafty & got cold at night. The heater is very old so you had to get up to turn it on & then get up again once the room heated up. Price was a lot for the quality of the hotel. Also, I think the listing said pool, but it was just an outdoor jacuzzi. The staff was fantastic, though & the continental breakfast was great! This is a good place to stay if you just need a bed to sleep in at night & are not planning on spending much time at your hotel.

it was nice quite and breakfast was good to
