Bay Park Hotel

We had some trouble finding the hotel, but once we settled in we really liked our room - spacious, clean, with a nice large bed. There were lots of ;young people partying, and the desk clerk was very responsive in giving us a room that was nice and quiet.

Maids did an excellent job but the equipment in bathroom need to be repaired.

We enjoyed our stay. The only thing that wasn't a plus was one of our towels and our sheets had stains on them. It looked like a stain that didn't get all the way out in the wash. We just asked the housekeeper to replace our sheets and there were other towels we could use too. Other than that, we really like the location of this hotel and would consider staying there again in the future.

We stayed one night during visit to Monterey. We were quite satisfied with this hotel. It met all our needs and was conveniently located. We would stay again in future.

I needed a place for one night only, staying less than 10 hours in total. For a quick chance to sleep and shower, this hotel was OK (and only OK.) The location (on a hotel row) was good, near Monterey's tourist sights and met my needs. The hotel itself was old and tired. It could use a remodel. Facilities are quite limited.

Had a good time. The only thing I didn't like was the gas station right in front of the hotel that had a bunch of crackheads hanging out around. But I had a good time and I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends

Bay Park Hotel is in a great location with easy access to Highway 1 and across the street from Del Monte shopping center with Whole Foods, Starbucks, Chipotle, and a movie theater. A short drive from the main attractions of Monterey.

Rainy days brought power outages in the area. Reoccurring problem given the circumstances.

We had a pleasant stay and found the hotel staff courteous. Rooms are comfortable and clean. The hotel is very close to 17 miles drive and other beaches. Also, we found most of the restaurants closest to hotel.

The location of the hotel is very central but that is the only positive that I can say about the hotel. When we arrived we went to check in around 2:30pm. We were quickly checked in and told that we had to drive around to get to our hotel room. That was not an issue, but I did not see a ramp or elevator that could be used by someone with a wheelchair or heavy luggage. It was clear that there was construction going on in the hotel because flooring debris was scattered all over the floor. When we got to our room we entered and saw that someone else was also staying in that room. There was luggage and chargers all plugged into the wall. Thankfully we walked into an empty room and not into someone while they were in the room. We then had to carry all of our luggage back down again and drive back around to the front desk. They seemed confused about the room situation. They quickly gave us another room without any compensation for the previous experience. We were placed in a less upgraded room with old carpet and an outdated bathroom. Given the mistake and hassle from before you would think that we would get a better room. At night when we tried to close the curtains, it wouldn't close all the way and light was coming in through the curtains. you could see directly into the room. since it was already late when we got back, we decided to just let it go because we didn't want to struggle with taking out our luggage again and hauling it to another room in the middle of the night.

We were dead tired after a full day in SF, so we did not care too much. The room was pretty basic. They do not offer breakfast, and there is a restaurant in the same building that gets you 10% if you're a guest. Much of the walking in and out of the room is through corridors that are in open air. It gives it a motel like feeling, and was pretty chilly for kids.

Room was large and well furnished. Located at the top of hotel row on Munras. Bed was extremely comfortable. Staff was kind and helpful. Juan, the maintenance guy, went out of his way to help me with a loose rubber guard on my car. Highly recommend this hotel and a bargain at the price.

We have stayed here many times over the years and have seen the quality go down. Especially the pet area which is so overgrown with weeds and so much feces on the ground. For 30.00 a night for your pet they should at least maintain their area. Beds were also sagging and very uncomfortable.

The hotel is in a nice location and was clean. My only complaint would be that you could hear everybody shut their doors.

Not bad, but definitely not remarkable in any way.

Good room not great but in great location . Will stay again

We only stayed for a night. The hotel is close to the main touristic places in Monterey. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. We had some difficulty getting to it because it is right off the 399B exit and we missed it. So, keep your eyes open. Otherwise, it was a good stay and we would not have expected anything less or more for what we paid for.

If this is a 3 star hotel...gross. Changed rooms once because the bathroom was dirty. Peeling wallpaper, outdated rooms, popcorn ceiling, broken baseboards, etc. about the only thing that was OK were the beds were comfortable. Worked for one night but would not go back again. Too many other hotels to choose from.

This hotel room has good cleanliness and great location. It is next to all the shopping location.

We arrived a little early for check in but they had a room available so we got settled in about 4 hours early. The room was pretty standard but clean and had all the essentials. I would go back again for sure. The fridge in the room and the option for room service was nice. The restaurant had good food too.
