I was worried it would be noisy staying anywhere in the old town after reading lots of reviews. there are indeed some small bars blasting music incredibly loud in some places in old town & maybe it might be noisy on weekend nights but on my thursday night stay there was only a single violinist right outside the hotel entertaining folks dining there, he ended at midnight & even before that I was at least on the 3rd floor above him & the room's A/C was a nice quiet steady wind sound that almost totally blocked the violin & I'm one of the pickiest when it comes to wanting quiet to be able to sleep. plan to walk the walls around the old town when cool at night as they open 24 hrs & safe. But hike to castle remains at top of mountain in daylight hours early morning for safety & it took me 1.75 hours for that hike & I went pretty fast. It was tough but worth it as gorgeous views.
The staff was extremely helpful. The property had an excellent location inside the old city walls, so was convenient to all the sights. Food at the on property restaurant was very good. The renovation and room designs were very well done. Parking was offsite, given the hotel location, but nearby and well organized. A lovely stay.
Great location, the staff was really friendly, and breakfast was great
Great location in old town. Beautiful boutique hotel. Iota room was perfect. Only heads up... you can not drive to this hotel. Instead they offer free validated parking in the public lot just outside of the old city walls. Drive to that lot, park and walk to hotel with your bags. A 10 minute walk.
Lack of parking or what to do when arriving by car.
Annual concert held night of stay. Music on Square until 3 AM should have been notified of this annual event prior to booking
This boutique hotel was ideally located in Kotor. easy to find. The hotel staff was wonderful, polite, kind and informative. We walked in the front door and were greeted by Nina and by our name She had our room key ready. Check-in was mooth and quick breakfast in the mornings was ordered off the menu and was delicious. I highly recommend the Astoria Hotel Looking forward to returning
