Great amenities in the hiking trails, views, restaurant, and bar. Restaurant staff, vegetarian pizza, breakfast, and drinks were all fabulous. No A/C in our basic room but night time temps were very cool and it was not needed. Recommend pants and jackets. Mariposa Butterfly Garden adjacent was wonderful. Night hike decent but $35 pp was steep for quality of our experience. We were able to get back and forth to town with taxis each way for $4 (2500 colones.) Vould only find Uber once. Could walk but sidewalks not available entire way and could be dangerous. Green Cafe in town fabulous. Treehouse restaurant fun. Taco Taco recommended by hotel and Mariposa Butterfly Garden was awful in both service and food.

Having the trails of the reserve right outside are door was fantastic. The views were beautiful and the staff were very friendly and attentive. The food and drinks at the cafe were very good.
This is by far the most incredible hotel grounds we’ve ever stayed at. The staff is wonderful, and you cannot beat the view! The trails are amazing, they have games and bikes for the kids (and adults) and we had the best trip imaginable. The beds are extremely uncomfortable, however, the rest of the inn makes up for it. The food is great and every drink special we had was wonderful! We will definitely be back!
This hotel is the perfect spot to stay in Monteverde. Our favorite features were the private rainforest reserve (!!!) which you can wander around in for hours, the excellent on-site restaurant, laid-back but professional staff who help with arrangements, a butterfly sanctuary next door (!!! again!!), and... last but not least... a stunning, mind blowing view all the way to the coast with double rainbows after each rain. It is not in the middle of town, but you can walk there if you're up to it... Rooms are clean but simple, no amenities BUT amazing views. This place is cash only... the only minor complaint is that they did not make this clear at check-in, so bring colones or dollars to pay! Highly recommended!
Lodge is located away from downtown like 1/3 mile whichever is a good thing Very quiet with beautiful view over the ocean . Every detail in the landscaping was not spare !lits if employees working to keep the property beautiful . Staff is very friendly . Breakfast is awesome Room was extremely clean.Breathy with many windows to open . Shower was huge. What made the lodge special to me was it was located in the jungle with a lot of well marked paths around the property where I saw lots of wildlife waterfalls, running creeks . Kids and adult would love it. Itnis a perfectly location and set up for kids family but also solo like me. Price was way beyond reasonable($50 with great breakfast included) Thank you for that wonderful stay.
