Staff were great and went above and beyond. The room was not very clean. A lamp worked part of the time and the toilet didn't flush well. Breakfast was a BIG disappointment.
Stay was fine. Breakfast was a bit small and not of good quality but overall the hotel is fine for a family stay on a budget
the room was little pricey but we were near a casino so that was the reason. the room was clean, modern and the staff were very helpful when needed. The breakfast was good .
We needed one night stay in Moncton, so opted for Travelodge Suites in Moncton. The location is behind the Home Hardware, though the hotel is very nice. The lobby is large, as breakfasts are held there too. The room we wanted wasn't ready, though we were offered another room which we stayed in. Very big, clean and comfortable. Separate lounge which was spacious. We always choose ground floor, with a drive up parking. Breakfast was good, including delicious carrot muffins. Only negative was the noise above our head during the night and morning. We called to complain twice. Shyla who was on duty did her best to get the children to stop "jumping" on our heads. However, it did not abate. Shyla took off $15.00 from our bill due to the noise inconvenience. Recommended ......
We checked into this hotel on July 29th on our annual trip to NS. This room was booked and paid for at least 2 months in advance. Upon checking in, 2 very young girls were working the desk. They were dealing with a problem of giving a room to some people that was already occupied. The girl I was dealing with was more interested in what her co-worker was saying and doing than giving me any attention. I filled out the required paperwork which consisted of signing a waiver acknowledging the room was a smoke free room and that there would be a fee charged otherwise. We made our way to the room. Upon entering, the room wreaked of cigarette smoke. I immediately called downstairs considering neither of us smoke and I certainly didn't want to be charged a cleaning fee. Not to mention, I specifically asked for a smoke free room when booking because of my husbands asthma and allergies. I was assured all rooms were smoke free. Long story short, we left for supper and while we were gone they placed some type of electrical bucket contraption AKA a smoke eater which it was nothing more then an electrical room deodorizer as that was the best they could do with no other rooms available. I then signed into the wifi and just happened to sign on to my credit card statement and seen a charge of 243.00 for the hotel room...that had been previously paid for 2 months prior. Again, I called down to the desk to inquire about this charge and she said they had no record of it being paid. I told her I had my receipt with me and she asked me to bring it down. When I got there she was on the phone with a manager because she didn't know how to handle this situation. She now put the onus on me saying "You obviously paid when booking but that company never paid us" "You will have to contact the company and inquire because we never received payment" Now my evening was spent trying to rectify this problem. I called the company I booked with and she put me on hold while she called the desk to inform them that the booking was fully paid. However, nobody would pick up the call. I went strolling down the hall with them on my phone to find somebody to talk with them. After learning now that the room was actually paid in full she didn't know how to fix it. I was instructed to come down in the morning when there was a manager in house. The company I had used instructed me not to leave in the morning until it was fixed or else I would have ended up paying over 400.00 for this room for 1 night. In the morning Leonard was very professional and understanding and assured me it was now all fixed. Two days later when I signed back into my credit card statement the charges were still pending. I called my credit card company and they removed the charges immediately. I had pre-booked and pre-paid for our hotel with the same company for our return trip in Riviere du loop at a different hotel and I had absolutely no problem at all. That said, I will never enter the threshold of this hotel again. It was the biggest waste of time and money I ever spent. It ruined my whole evening trying to fix this in which they had no idea what they were doing. They were overwhelmed with problems from people that evening. The room was so over-priced for how it looked and what we got. NEVER AGAIN!
The room was clean and quiet and bed was comfy - those are the qualities that are most important to me. That aside, the hotel was definitely nothing special. The lobby was very cluttered and the included breakfast was disappointing. Things constantly running out, not cleaned up, garbage everywhere, not enough seating. Also, the curtain rod in our room was falling off. I mentioned it to the man in the morning when I checked out and he didn't seem to care. With all of the hotel options around the immediate area, I'd stay somewhere else next time for sure. Most hotels from what I saw were very similarly priced. Dont be fooled by the name, the rooms (at least the one I was in) are not suites. It's a very small room that I'd compare to a drive up motel. If you get a good deal and just want a comfy place to sleep, this will be fine. But don't expect anything more than that.
Unfortunately, the room smelled as though Patty and Selma lived in it for a decade. The cigarette smell was overwhelming. The a/c also rattled at what felt like 80 decibels all night long, right by the head of my bed.
We stayed at the motel on August 22, 2017 overnight. To start we arrived after 3 and had three rooms booked and only one room was ready. The keys would not work and made many trips to the desk and eventually the attendant had to come and let us in. In the morning our room had no cups for the coffee maker, one of the other rooms had used coffee in the machine, the hair dryer wouldn't work. The curtains at our window were so wrinkled, not really a big deal but not necessary. I felt bad for the staff as they were short staffed and trying to do the best they could. Would have to think twice about telling anyone to stay here.
Stay at property was good. The only issue was of the 3 rooms that were booked, 2 were not ready until 6:30 or 7:00 pm on day of arrival. While I had advised the front desk that the other rooms may be late, a few arrived early and had to wait until 6:30 or 7:00 for their rooms to be cleaned. Even with a late arrival, the rooms should have been completed earlier than this. Other than this one minor inconvenience, the rest of the stay was good.
Booked for an overnight stay in Moncton for leisure. 3 adults and 2 children so we booked here for the extra sofa bed. There were no pillows or a duvet provided for the sofa bed so I went to reception to ask for some. I waited a full 20 minutes as there was no one at the desk. When a chap finally appeared, he told me he'd arrange for some but it would be about 10 minutes. None came. We ended up sharing the pillows from the main beds and using one of the bed throws as a blanket for the sofa bed. Breakfast was very poor. One girl seemed to be in charge of keeping it restocked, clean etc but couldn't keep up and no one helped her. It was quite busy but the area is cramped. We came down at 9 (Breakfast served until 10.30). There was no: clean plates, cutlery, bread, yogurts, breakfast potatoes. I had the last 2 sausage patties. We had to ask to have the bagels, bread, butter, jam and juice refilled. The coffee/tea machine and pancake maker were both out of order but no signs were put on them so it was left to guests to tell each other. In the end, I think you could have ended up with a full breakfast but only one item at a time. Here is a picture of my husband's breakfast. Those black things are potatoes not mushrooms.
