We stayed at the Eze Vista in October 2017. Pros: Rooms clean, helpful and friendly staff, excellent location in the charming village of Eze with its lovely old town, exotic botanic garden and restaurants, boulangerie, supermarket, tabac, laundry and post office nearby. Great location for day trips in the Cote d'Azur region. Easy trip to and from Nice airport in a hire car. Cons: More attention should be taken to make the hotel more attractive and welcoming from a physical point of view. Simple things like painting, decorating, design in public areas. We had problems with the wifi not working on the RJ (garden rooms level for several days) but were relocated to a room on another floor where it worked ok. In both rooms we stayed in electrical sockets were loosely mounted to the walls.I would recommend staying in the rooms on the higher levels as the garden room was rather gloomy and the entrance most unattractive. Only French television available no English, German, Spanish etc.
We arrived late not realizing that there was no 24-hour reception service. We managed to call the number on the door and get access to our room. We booked the cheapest room, a studio and it was adequate. There was a kettle at least. The bed was fine. It was clean. We were on the bottom or next to bottom floor so we had no view. If we had had an upper room with a view, most likely it would have made up for the average, sterile atmosphere. The location is perfect to see Eze, but I can't get excited about this hotel given our experience.
Very nice hotel, clean and big rooms with kitchen and balcony/terrace. Very good breakfast and friendly service. Parking underneath the building. Great location to explore beautiful Eze. Definetely recommended!
The reception plagued me 3 days before my arrival with emails, because they were not able to withdraw the hotel tariff in advance from my credit card account. Check in was cumbersome, because I had to send an email, they had sent me, back with my phone - manually typing their very long email-address. The room did not correspond to the classification of the hotel (see my photos).
We arrived at the Eze Vista with high hopes of the fabulous views on their site How wrong were we !! We were shown to our room via a corridor that can only be described as akin to a boiler room. Down a dank and dark corridor to our room a sign on whose door warned us ,that there has been several robberies in the hotel and to beware!!! The room with a balcony and great views did not materialise ,instead we had a room looking out onto a communal garden with no View at all .The communal aspect making it impossible to leave the patio door open for fear of people entering the room The walls were dirty and peeling and in need of attention The bathroom ,though nicely fitted had a ceiling covered in mould A list of does and donts was on the table,I have never had to clean my own room in a hotel!! Some very strange and aggressive ideas!!! Breakfast was served on the terrace and ok I think this Hotel!! Needs to realise we are the customer and they are the service provider Not a great experience, sadly
Very good service, Location is great. The city amazing ! Nice small supermarket next to the hotel. Cleaning is ok. Worth the money. Also the staff is very very helpful. Note they are (the staff) available only between 08:00-12:00 and again from 16:00-20:00.
On 12th April I made a booking for a 6 night stay arriving on 6th May via Booking.com. The terms are copied below Prepayment.Payment before arrival is required. Your host will contact you after you book to arrange it. Cancellation cost Until 21 April 2017 23:59 [Èze]: € 0 From 22 April 2017 00:00 [Èze]: € 638.40 Based on the photos other reviewers had posted I cancelled on 15th April then found the hotel had taken full payment the day I made the booking. (not just a pre-authorisation and I was not contacted to arrange payment) I was charged on my UK credit card for the full amount plus a further foreign transaction fee. I rang the hotel on 15th April to query and again on 24th April. They were extremely rude and refused to process the refund until 3 - 4 weeks later. I complained to booking.com and had an email from them on 25th April confirming they had asked the hotel to process my refund at once. I then had a call from booking.com on 28th April telling me the hotel had refused to process it any quicker and they needed proof of the credit card charge. As over 2 weeks had passed, my credit card company became involved to force them to refund the payment. After pressure from the booking site and my credit card company the hotel finally processed the refund on 5th May but the amount refunded in sterling was less then that originally charged because of exchange rate differences. By this time the original charge was on my credit card statement, so interest charged plus it reduced my spending limit by that amount for 3 weeks. The fees and exchange rate differences cost me over £50 as well. It seems that they offer these special prices with so called "free cancellation" just to hold your money for as long as possible. Do not expect to get the refund until at least 3 weeks later as this is their stated policy. Beware of handing over your credit card details to these people and do look at the photos that other reviewers have posted. The only plus point is that I realised in time and did not stay at this awful place but found somewhere else far better.
More like two stars, I'm trying to upload photos to show peeling paint and mould in bathroom, if your used to student type basic accommodation then you will be fine but don't be fooled into expecting 4 stars because it isn't!
Eze is a small hamlet on the French Riviera between Montecarlo and Nice, high enough to be far from the maddening crowd, so hubby and I spent the weekend here to enjoy the off-season and celebrate my birthday. We have a golden retriever so it's always hard to find places to stay, but Eze Vista was quick in saying 'oui' to our pooch. The apartments are spacious, clean, and equipped with a nice kitchenette for breakfast in-room (there's a supermarket just down the road where you can get warm croissants ... oo-la-la). We were given a ground floor room so that our dog had some grass to do her deeds, which we picked up of course. Staff was friendly and mother tongue English. The old town is a short trek up the hill, there are a couple of eateries for all budgets and two perfume factories offering free tours. Highly recommend for a relaxing French Riviera vacay!
The staff was ok when we arrived, we entered the apartment and realized this was clearly not an hotel. We paid 83€ for one night which is clearly overpriced for the service we had. The furniture were old and damaged, there was moisture in the bathroom and the view was quite disappointing (not quite the same as on the pictures). Moreover, the beds were one person beds just stick together... However, the kitchen was clean and the beds were comfortable and clean too. Overall it was very disappointing and the staff didn't offered any compensation after they have been made aware of all these problems. We clearly won't come back here and you shouldn't get here neither, especially if you're looking for a romantic night.
