Staff gave us keys that were not activated. They also gave poor directions to the motel. Room was clean but the door to the room is too close to the clothes hangers making it inconvenient for entry. Also the cable TV was not hooked up, so we had to fiddle with hooking it up after driving all day.

I travel a lot for work and am always looking for the cheapest hotel to keep expenses low. For the price, I was very happy with my room. Very clean, comfortable bed, decent television with cable, and outlets by the bed! Feel like I spend the first five minutes in every hotel looking for an outlet that is in the most inconvenient spot in the room for my phone. To be honest, I'd stay again for that simple feature.

When we arrived it had snowed several inches and the sidewalk and parking lot had not been cleared. It was extremely dangerous an we had to ask 3 times before they finally shoveled a small path and put out ice melt. The room was supposed to have a microwave and refrigerator, but it did not. The room was dirty. Fingernail clipping on the floor. There were dead bugs all around the pool area. The electric outlets in the bathroom didn't work and the staff was snotty when we pointed out the problems. They didn't offer a different room, or do anything to compensate us for the frustration. The front desk manager was rude and seemed disinterested brushing us off. So disappointed in Super 8.

This is an ok hotel if you are staying here for 1-2 nights only. This is primarily a trucker's hotel, so don't expect any frills or amazing amenities. There is free wifi though, so that is nice. The breakfast is sparse and not that appealing. The room is ok, but has a very odd odor when first entering the door. Probably because it is such an old hotel. The bathroom is nice though.

Stayed at the Super 8 in Mitchell one night while traveling to the Black Hills. We had two rooms, one a king bed room & the other two doubles. Rooms were older but very clean & tastefully decorated. The images above the bed were awesome! The king room had a fridge, microwave & a nice recliner in it. The double room had a bigger tv. Our rooms were in a sub basement area & our windows were eye level with the parking lot. Other than the Harleys running in the parking lot (was the week prior to Sturgis) it was super quiet. The breakfast room was small but had quite a but of stuff stocked in it including a scrambled egg patty. The cleaning staff was super friendly. The only thing I can really say not good about here was the indoor pool was freezing & had a stronger chemical smell. We got there to late to check out the outdoor pool but one of the other guests told me it was very nice. Would stay here again if traveling in the area.

As I was checking in the staff at the front desk was pleasant & helpful. She told me about restaurants in the area & directions to places I wanted to see. The rooms clean & comfortable, even with a recliner in it. The continental breakfast had scrambled eggs, which is nice to have something from the meat group. I have paid more for hotel rooms that have less amenities.

I stayed in the handicap-accessible suite and it was roomy. Breakfast had waffles and yogurt but I missed having eggs or other protein. Otherwise the breakfast was good. Smelled cigarette smoke in the hallway but the room didn't smell, thank goodness. Air conditioner worked very well.

Staff was very accommodating. Rooms were nice. It was close to the attraction I was going to.

Clean, quiet and friendly staff. Would stay there again.

The room had 2 beds but was so small it was hard for us to move around without almost knocking the others to the floor. Beds were not comfortable either. Rasperries for the breakfast.

The people were nice and helpful. It was nice to have a continental breakfast. I like Super 8 hotels. When I travel, if there is one where I am going, I like staying at those. They have always been a nice hotel to stay at.

The hotel was ok. The bathroom is very small. There was not enough parking, so we ended up having to park on the grass. They need to send smokers farther away from the building. The side entrance closest to our room reeked of cigarette smoke. The hallway and room had a musty smell, maybe this is typical of humid eastern SD.

Rooms were ready and exactly what we requested through Obbitz. We had a comfortable stay and enjoyed watching the Masters Golf on our 24 inch TV.

The hotel seemed rather worn and in poor condition. The carpets were dirty and stained. Could use a real make over.

This hotel met out needs as an overnight stop in Mitchell enroute to Yellowstone. It met our stop over needs. The staff was excellent, the rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. Our family had to split between rooms as there was not an option for six.
