I cant say enough about the wonderful visit we had at this B&B. We planned on staying 3 nights, but requested an extra night as we just didnt want to leave. Such a great value and the room and breakfast were just fantastic. Best B&B value I have stayed at and my wife and I do alot of them. Fantastic hosts and look forward to many future stays the at Dakota Rose.

We stayed four nights during the Hostfest in the Garden Room. Room is pleasant and very spacious. Hosts were very accommodating of my husband's gluten sensitivity when preparing breakfasts. We enjoyed meeting others who were guests at the time and enjoyed the homemade hot breakfasts. Every evening we came back to our room to find homemade treats, a nice personal touch. It is not a big deal but it might have been nice to have a choice of time for breakfast rather than just being told it is at 9 am which for us is late and didn't allow the option of getting to the Hostfest for the first hour.( You could have had a sack lunch of a muffin and fruit but that doesn't compare to the hot breakfast they served.)

My wife and I stayed in the Garden Room, which was both spacious and comfortable, as was the ensuite bathroom and shower. The highlight of our visit was time spent with our hosts, Jim and Carol Carr, who provided us with information on local history, nearby attractions and restaurants. Carol prepared a sumptuous breakfast in the morning before our departure. Highly recommended!

We stayed here over the weekend for the hostfest. Even though we are originally from Minot, we had never stayed here until we moved and now came back to visit. Our room was lovely, and the breakfast served was amazing. We met so many wonderful people, and can't wait to stay here again.

Two night stay and an opportunity for two breakfast. What a lovely decorated home. Enjoy the antique furniture, hats, photos. Unfortunately the floors were damage in a flood in 2011 and had to be replaced with beautiful hardwood but lost some of the authenticity.

My husband and I stayed four nights at this charming century old home. Spacious room, comfortable bed, large bathroom with stall shower, plenty of hot water with strong spray. Breakfasts were delicious, generous portions. Accommodations were made for dietary restrictions. Our hosts, Jim and Carol, welcomed us as family. After a long day out or an evening in the parlor playing cards we found a sweet treat in our room. Felt just like home.

I stayed at the Dakotah Rose when I was working for about a week in Minot during July. Jim and Carol were the most kind-hearted hosts and the house was a beautiful, quiet place. I stayed in the Victorian room and had plenty of space both in the bathroom and bedroom. I enjoyed soaking in the original claw-foot tub and rocking on the bedrooms love-seat. After long days of work, it was a treat to relax and rest at a place that felt like so homey, welcoming, and comforting.

I've always wanted to stay at a bed & breakfast but never took the time to pursue it. My son was moving from ND to CA in Sept. 2018. My wife & I agreed to come to ND to assist with my son's move. As I got on-line to make reservations, I came across Dakotah Rose Bed & Breakfast. Wow, what a wonderful experience. I was a little apprehensive going into someones home. Hotels are so impersonal, check-in at the registration desk and off you go to a room. The whole experience of meeting the owners, being given a tour of the house, the bedrooms and some history of the house put me a ease. My wife who is much more apprehensive then I, also felt very comfortable with the surroundings. The other guest that the B&B were a pleasure to interact with during breakfast too. The home was build in 1906 (I think) and was a mansion for its the period. By todays standards, this is still a very high end house. The wood carvings throughout the house is something to see. The old wood floors (oak) with occasional squeaks and area rugs at to the charm of this facility. The decorative wooden banisters, crown molding, base boards, decorative chandeliers, wrap around front porches, well maintained landscaping, very large yards (acres), meandering river, the sounds of the trains in the distance, makes this B&B an ideal location to stay in Minot, ND. No, I'm not writting an advertisement for this B&B, I'm just sharing my experience. I might be a little reluctant in giving away a secret of how much we enjoyed the Dakotah Rose Bed & Breakfast. If you're in the Minot, ND area. Give yourself a treat and stay at this wonderful home, you won't, be disappointed. BTW: The food was really good and the nightly rates were comparable to hotels. However, the experience of this wonderful B&B will last a life time.

Really great old house located near the center of town, but far enough away to be quiet. Jim & Carol were very gracious hosts, willing to answer questions on where to go in Minot and they even made breakfast a little early as we had to get on the road to go home. (Breakfast was awesome BTW) We really wish we had been able to spend more time there. Hope to stay again in the future.

Jim and Carol run a nice, clean bed and breakfast in a neat old house. They maintain a very comfortable, relaxed atmosphere. Carol's breakfast was delectable! My wife and I really enjoyed our 1 night get away here!
