La Quinta Inn Minneapolis Airport/Bloomington

Room and hallway smelled of smoke. My wife went and asked front desk about smell and staff did nothing. Booked last minute for a flight delay. Will never stay st this hotel again

A bit of a slow wait at check-in, and the airport shuttle only runs once an hour (so reserve your seat early), but the rooms are surprisingly large and clean with strong hot water in the shower, and ample space to sort out your stuff. Don't be fooled by the exterior, which seems really run down and the parking lot is crowded: the rooms inside are much nicer.

No affordable hotel in the Twin Cities can beat the location and convenience of La Quinta. However, the strengths of this hotels are the cause of some deficiencies: Since the hotel prices and location are the best, many people use this facility. For this reason, it can be a crowded noisy please. However, the staff is amazing. They work so hard too keep the place in order. They work very diligently to stop any situation that can turn things into chaos. The size of the room is nice and it was very clean. Nevertheless, the bed was very uncomfortable. My conclusion is that if you are planning to visit the Twin Cities, this hotel and its staff are the best for a short visit. If you need to visit MN for many days, i suggest use a different hotel.

The facility is massive. Two floors. No elevators. Over a block to walk to breakfast. I have a back problem making steps and distances difficult to navigate. Never made it to a breakfast. Clean, but worn. Couch in room saggy. Could not sit on it.

Only thing was no close parking. Fast check in. Room was nice and warm. Very clean.

When checking in there were two clerks. One drinking coffee the other handling me. While I was asking questions the phone rang and the clerk forgot me. She started helping the person on the phone and stated Im on phone hold on while other kept drinking coffee.. As the clerk hung up another came in and the other clerk began to help the new client. Then attempting to find parking was near impossible. Snow was pushed into several parking spots not leaving enough spaces for a fully booked hotel. I had to park off premises and hope I wasn't towed. Fortunately I wasn't. In the morning the situation had not become better. There was only one clerk and she was very busy.

Food and wrapper on floor. Bathroom counter needed cleaning. Raised liquid rings on bed table, screen of tv covered in hand prints. Front of fridge never cleaned. Bed very lumpy and old. Have pictures.

Walls paper thin and heard everything next door, not great when you need sleep. I was supposed to leave my car while we were away and when I inquired during check in they told me they were not doing it right now due to Superbowl (this is January, Superbowl not until February.) Had whole family. Fine for one night but won't stay again.

Staff was very welcoming (even though I arrived well after midnight). Hotel was easy to find and a quick drive from the airport. I will definitely keep this hotel as an option next time I'm in town.

Clean room, but bed too soft. O.K breakfast. Needs to be updated.

Close to airport with shuttle service. Good value with welcoming staff. Room was comfortable with refrigerator, coffee maker and microwave. Breakfast included. Perfect for overnight stay when travelling to MSP airport. This is our second stay here and we will return.

I came recently for a quick weekend trip. The hotel was close to the airport and mall. Free airport shuttle that came quick and took me where I needed to go. The room was nice, clean and the staff even knew me by name when I would call and the breakfast was good with a nice selection. Would definitely stay here again!

Close to MSP airport with fast free shuttle (+tip). Free overnight parking while there and parking while gone that's much cheaper than the airport. (But be careful when getting in a La Quinta shuttle at the airport. There is more than one of those in the area. I got in the wrong one and the driver was extremely nice getting me back to the motel I was booked at.)

Everything was until the shuttle on our way back to hotel. We stay and payed the fee to leave our car, great until it took them 45 min to get us back to the hotel .

The facility was quiet, clean, and good. Never heard anyone slamming their doors.

I love this hotel. The price is reasonable and the location is the best. The hotel is very close to the Mall of America and the international airport. I was very impressed by the cleanliness and comfort of my room. The hotel is not luxurious but it has the basic stuff a casual traveler needs.

We use this often for airport shuttle. Excellent service, on time, fast, efficient and friendly!

Pics on website did not match this hotel. No shampoo, body lotion unless asked for. Stayed for 3 nights and only towels were exchanged and trash emptied. Rug was filthy. Stains throughout room; needs updating desperately. No room to sit and wait outside for shuttle bus; lobby was extremely small with old and soiled limited seating. Breakfast area lacked trays to take food to rooms. Computers and keys didn't always work. Only good thing was the desk staff- friendly and nice.

I stayed there two days in a main floor room at the beginning of my six day trip and the room was OK at best. I stayed one day in a second floor room on the last day of my trip and the room was a notch above in quality. Not sure why the difference.

Pictures of hotel are very descieving on the ad and web site. Would not recommend this hotel. The hotel allowed illegal activity to take place.

I do apologize that your room smelled of smoke. We work hard to make certain no one is smoking in the hotel or standing in an open door way which is what usually happens when it is cold. Again, I apologize. Dave Kamm - GM

Our building is massive and has a lot of rooms. We always try and accommodate room request by the lobby when possible. Dave Kamm - GM

Thank you for taking the time to review our property. I'm glad you enjoyed your room and had a good stay but I do want to apologize for the parking issue. We have been very booked and it has been hard to get the snow out. We have slowly dug our way out. Thanks again for your thoughts. Dave Kamm - GM

Dick, Thank you for your feedback. As you knew we have been very booked and on the 16th when you arrived and had just had a major snow. We have been able to get the lot cleaned. I do want to apologize for the issue you you had with the staff. Please be certain I will be addressing this. Thanks again for our feedback. Dave Kamm - GM

Vicki, I do apologize that your stay was less than perfect and I can only assume you has an adjoining room, with a door in between, as our walls are 6 inches of concrete. We are hoping these adjoining rooms will be eliminated during our renovation. Thanks again for the feedback. Dave Kamm - GM
