Room smelled like febreeze. Supposed to be NS room. Breakfast not available until 7:00. Most hotels I stay, 6 AM is standard so missed bfast to catch flight. Place just needs updating. Nice staff.

Rate is way too high for the quality of this hotel. Check-in was pleasant but this hotel is desperately in need of cleaning, repairs and renovations. Plumbing fixtures and furniture show wear. Rooms are small, had thick dust on surfaces and very small bathroom needed cleaning. Areas of patched holes in walls and worn carpet. Pool area is dark with burnt out lights and speakers rusting/falling off walls. Generally disappointed.

Lots of construction going on, but the inside of our room was updated.

Bring your own pillows, very small. Bathroom is quite small. Hot tub and pool are nice. The breakfast is quite decent, offering more then produce, donuts. We were quite surprised at all the offerings, despite getting to breakfast towards the end. I do wish the staff was eager to make us feel welcome. Your just a number to staff. If staff was inviting or engaging i could recommend the hotel more, but breakfast and pool, hot tub is the only reason.

Close to mall staring to get a little dated. Not much for parking

I was looking for a hotel close to MSP. This place was super clean, comfortable beds, great value, and <10 minutes to MSP. Would stay again in minute.

Breakfast was great! Hot breakfast made to order! The morning staff were great, but we had many complaints about the evening staff and being rude to our family (several occasions) Pool was small but nice. Rooms are outdated, but they worked for our family just fine. Very small bathroom. Don't think I will stay again though d/t the rude staff though.

No problems. Employees are excellent. The bar and restaurant are very good.

The hotel is fine for the price. Breackfast is good and there is hot chocolate and coffee all day long.

Usually, when I book a motel room in Minneapollis during the winter, the first thing I need to do after turning on the lights, is turn up the thermostat. I even brought along extra sleepwear in expectations of this. But when I opened the door and entered the room, I realized I didn't even have to unpack the extras. It was nice and warm. The room was nice and clean. The minibar area was spacious (for a minibar area). There was a coffee machine, but we didn't end up using it because there was hot water and coffee in the lobby, along with a complimentary breakfast. The staff was courteous and very helpful. I had a little jam up at the elevators when I tried to take the luggage trolley up to my room. One elevator would open, but by the time I had the trolley ready to roll in it, the door closed. This kept happening with the elevators opening at random. I began to think that someone should access the security tape and put that section on YouTube. However, the young man who had checked me in ran over to the elevators and, after helping me roll the cart into the elevator, rode up to my floor and helped me roll the trolley out. All of the staff was helpful and courteous, and I had a very nice overnight stay.

Awesome place the breakfast was awesome nice and Hot only thing I didn't like was the bathroom was too small

I had a very early flight and I received no wake up call. And no apology. This was extremely irritating. Good thing: the restaurant on site is very good.

Staff was friendly, but bed was too hard, breakfast was delicious, parking handy,, and I did enjoy my stay.

I work at a large resort in Pennsylvania, with over 1000 employees. The staff at the Country Inn & Suites by Carlson, Bloomington West are topnotch , very polite, friendly and helpful. They have great work ethic and it shows , with the cleanliness of the rooms and hotel. Also the best complimentary Breakfast Ever !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The reason the hotel got the rating it did are as follows: The bathroom sink didn't drain. The refrigerator made a loud high pitch sound that made it difficult to sleep. The night shade didn't have a rod to move it right and left. In the exercise room had a recumbent bike that didn't work.

This hotel has carpeting in halls and rooms that are now quite threadbare, spotted, and dirty. My armoire door was broken. Swimming pool is small and porrly ventilated so chlorine will burn your eyes. The breakfasts, however, were stellar and they should at least be commended for that.

Very nice hotel. Friendly, and accommodating:) made us feel welcome.

Good room Good breakfast Easy parking Far from Milwaukee downtown

This is where we always stay when we go to the Twin Cities and need a hotel. They somehow continue to exceed any expectations I have! A great hotel value.

Hotel was ok. Pool and hot tub are very nice. Continental breakfast leaves something to be desired. Not much for options. Cookies in the lobby are a nice touch.
