The lobby and exterior of the hotel are very nice and the 2 queen bed room we had was spacious. However, the breakfast eating area was very limited. If you stay here, be sure to bring your own shampoo and conditioner because what they supply in the room is terrible. When we were having breakfast there was a man checking out that had Points bu the foreign man at the desk didn't know what he was doing or how to apply them which of course caused the customer to be upset.
Very large room with a great layout. The price was exceptionally low for this type of accommodation. The staff was friendly and pets are welcome. Breakfast was very good with lots of options. Highly recommended
I thought the rates were average or slightly higher and there is no elevator for second floor guests so be prepared to haul your luggage up and down the stairs. Our "suite" consisted of a front room with couch, desk and TV with a wall and door to the bedroom. The front area had no A/C and although there was a fan it was less than comfortable in this room.
Great place to stay. I would recommend this hotel to anybody. The staff is great and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very good also. I did not use the pool but it did look clean and inviting.
The location was easy to get to. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Rooms were clean and spacious. Close to eating, shopping and walking trails. Breakfast offered a variety and food was good. Would definitely stay here again when in the area
This hotel was clean and the beds were very comfortable. Overall I would recommend a stay, however the shower did not deliver adequate water pressure (if that is important to you) and breakfast was not stocked well. They did eventually stock breakfast items, but it was not timely, if you are in a hurry. There also was not room to sit and eat breakfast in the lobby.
I love the Americ Inn at White Bear Lake. they are always very friendly and accommodating for my needs. The breakfast is good and the rooms are clean and comfortable. They are flexible if I need an early check in or late check out.
I have stayed at many hotel with my soccer team over the years and this was by far our best experience. Every staff member went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and fun. I truly cannot say enough of their help in all matters.
I've stayed at many hotels in MN, some newer, some bigger, some with more stars but none can compare to the AmericInn! I was pleasantly surprised to find that the AmericInn as well as the staff were both excellent! I have no complaints and cannot say enough about how great my stay was at the AmericInn. I first began searching for a room early in the morning as we had an emergency and needed a room as soon as possible. I called to make a reservation and needed a room that would also accommodate a dog. I had called several hotels before the AmericInn but none took pets and none cared about my emergency! I had a few accommodations I specifically needed as I needed a room that took animals and that we could immediately check-in too... The staff at AmericInn bent over backward to accommodate us and even invited us to come wait in the lobby until the room was available. The staff told us they would get the maids to clean our rooms immediately and then we could check in. True to their word, when we arrived an hour later at 11:00 a.m., our room was ready! The Hotel was in good repair, clean, and the beds and room were comfortably furnished. The lobby was lovely and the breakfast they served the next morning was great! The scrambled eggs were amazing! Usually when one receives a free breakfast at a hotel no one really "cooked" it and no one really takes responsibility for how the food tastes! Here, it was the exact opposite- the food was great! Coffee was excellent and it was served all day in the lobby which was nice! Everything about the AmericInn Lodge & Suites White Bear Lake was excellent.
We had booked directly through the hotel about three months in advance as everything booked up quickly for the weekend. Came in from Canada for a wedding with my daughter in law her two kids and husband. We called the hotel as soon as we landed to ensure our hotel was being prepared for us and Megan said it would be ready when we arrived. After having our rental cars given away three times and travelling by cab around the city looking for a car that would meet our families needs we got a car at about 6p. Went out for dinner and then ready to check in. Got to the hotel and of course problems at check in.. the Assistant Manager stated our room we booked well in advance was given away. We could have a room that would barely fit our party. She was rude and as our frustration built so did her attitude. She swore at us even though no one was swearing at her but did call her customer service absolutely awful... She threatened my biracial daughter in law with the police and kicked my four year old grandson out of the washroom while he was still going.. she told us go ahead and make a complaint against that hotel because they were independently owned and all complaints come back to her. She refused to call Megan the Manager to help sort out the situation. So we left since she wasn't going to help us get our kids in a room that night. Absolutely horrible service, rude and arrogant assistant manager. Finding out after the fact that racism is prevalent in this area we were very disappointed and hurt by the whole experience. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone!!
