While this hotel looks nice on the outside, the rooms leave a little up in the air. In my room there was a huge outdoor light just above the window. the shades on the window only worked on one side... the room was very bright at night. Additionally, the stove was filthy and lights broken at the bulb base. The thermostat did not work, so had to guess at the temperature. Note, this is an extended stay hotel and in the past they would "freshen up" the room upon request. This time they stated they no longer do this. A hotel room can get quite nasty after a couple days. In contacting the front desk, I was told in all situations, there was nothing we could do. Since there are not a lot of options in this area, I will now be looking further out for a hotel
This property is outstanding. Check in and check out was simply great. The staff was so friendly. They made us feel like family. Jessica Sivia and the staff were just amazing. If we visit Kenosha again we would definitely stay here. Bravo to the staff.
Stayed 2 weeks at this hotel. No free breakfast or daily housekeeping perks, but it's priced accordingly. Staff was very friendly. Room was comfortable and the kitchen, with full-size fridge was more than adequate. The only complaint was that the free WiFi was not very friendly. It would randomly kick you off and make you sign back in with the passcode.
My husband and were being relocated to the Kenosha area for work and my we had to stay here for several days, we were very impressed with this hotel. Rooms come fully equipped with kitchens and are VERY clean. I would stay here again.
I travel to Kenosha every now and then. Tried Candlewood for the first time in August and now I return monthly. This place is clean, apartment like and I'm able to prepare a meal. Most restaurants deliver if you want to stay in and work. The only down fall are the toiletries, so bring your favorites.
Front desk very accomating, they made sure we we taken care of. I like this hotels. We will come back to this hotel. Clean rooms all the time, great hotel and close to everything we will be back soon!
My family stayed here last weekend. All of the staff that I encountered were very friendly, prompt, and made me feel like I was their priority. The room was clean. I loved having the kitchenette available, which is always my preference over the free lousy breakfast that so many hotels offer. We had a nice view of one of the ponds from our room on the second floor. The only reason that I am not giving 5 stars was that once we started running the a/c, the room developed an odd smell, my husband said it smelled like stale fish sticks. Not a strong odor, but if you left the room for a while and re-entered, definitely something you noticed right away and then after some time you didn't really notice it that much again. Since we were not in the room very much, it wasn't a big deal to us. Overall, I would happily stay here again, and recommend it to friends.
I stayed here for a month. Pet friendly facilities are well kept and hotel is quiet. Staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is close to the highway. There are plenty places to eat and shop with a movie theater near by.
I previously gave this hotel a 5 star review for it's pleasant staff and wonderfully maintained property.....That is no longer the case. We walked to the door noticing dead plants and unwatered planters. The staff was very prickly and not kind. The room we had was not very clean and the carpet felt sticky. There were old used band aids stuck to the floor under the base of the toilet. The beds were very "creaky" and everytime someone rolled over it was loud! We have stayed here almost quarterly in the past few years and will not return. It's a shame to see a previously perfectly cared for facility start to slip.
Stayed here 19 days so an insurance covered house problem could be fixed. Half way through my stay, my credit card was charged over $700 because they charged my card instead of the insurance's card which was on file. This caused some purchases to not go through with charges attached. After much complaining by me, I was able to get it rectified by calling corporate IHG and talking with the hotel's manager. I thought all was good until I checked out. Later that day I see another charge from the hotel for over $800. The manager of this particular hotel needs to pay more attention since she was the one that charged me both times. I am angry and frustrated at the very long process I had to go through just to get the billing corrected. I will NEVER stay here again even if it has the last room available!
