The only negative I will throw out there is it is pretty far from what I consider Kenosha. That said it is a very nice, very clean place and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely stay again
This was my first stay at a Candlewood Suites. I was very impressed. The room were spacious and the full kitchen was a big plus. The layout of the room allowed us to almost feel as is it were two rooms in one. The room was clean. Front desk staff was pleasant. The only downside was there was no pool. But we didn't really have time to use it anyway. We will definitely look into this hotel chain again.
Stayed here 2xs this month. 1st time was perfect no issues. Nice suite ,strange set up with fan in wall to get A.C. from main area to bedroom. Beds were comfy and clean. 2nd time didn't get suite but that was okay . Need to step up on replenishing supplies in bathrooms .No soap ,shampoo, or conditioner in on wall containers in tub area. Staff was informed and apologized. Reasonable place to stay close to restaurants.
Travel with kids is never easy. When kids finally get to sleep it's a good day. As a mom it was around 12:30am and I was finishing up prep for next day. An ant crawls rapidly up my arm and across my cell phone. I thought it was random until, I saw another one, then another one. Then I looked over at my children and saw Ants crawling all over the bed and on them. It was unreal like a horror movie. Little black ants in droves. I woke the family and had my husband right away talk to management. It was horrific we were exhausted and had to move rooms to escape the Ants that were coming from what we figured was behind the beds. Because we had left the luggage near the beds we had to shake those clear of Ants aslo. Management was nice and said they would clear charges. However my credit card still shows a pending charge. We are exhausted and the ordeal wasn't over until 3am. Hopefully the charges will truly be lifted as no one should pay for a night in a horror film. Management was helpful in the initial process however.
We stayed here as part of a wedding party for three nights. It seemed like a nice hotel, but lacked housekeeping and accomodations. The hotel did not have a crib for two members of our party and we both had to run out to buy a pack and play while staying out of state. This is also an extended stay hotel so there's no housekeeping service and linen changes during your stay if less than a week. It felt unsanitary that they didn't change sheets or towels. They only exchange towels if you bring your wet towels to the front desk. The hotel also offered a dry cleaning service with a third party, who ruined a dress the day before the wedding.
Candlewood has to be one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. Free laundry when most hotels chare $2 per wash and dry, semi-living room/office in the room, full sized fridge, kitchenette, beautiful bathrooms, workout room that consists of treadmills and dumbbells, a small food area where you can purchase snacks (free coffee), friendly staff, I definitely recommend this hotel if anyone wants superior comfort at an affordable price.
This place is a strictly no frills generic hotel suite that cost a lot more than the surrounding hotels. $216 a night with the taxes, for next to nothing. On their web site, they advertise prices around $110, but try and get that price. No pool, no restaurant, no lounge, no free breakfast, not even an ice machine. It's an extended stay property, and definitely not worth it for 1 night. We checked in and went to a festival and dinner. We got back around 11:00 p.m. and our keys didn't work in the door. We had to get them recharged at the front desk. We wanted a cold drink, and couldn't find an ice bucket. My girlfriend went to the front desk to get one, and the clerk said there were none, because there was no ice machine in the hotel. She said the refrigerator makes ice cubes. We went to check, and the fridge said it takes 12 hours to make ice. Great! Why wasn't some made before we arrived? Coffee maker wasn't cleaned. It had leftover grounds in it. The t.v.. in the bedroom didn't work. Only the one in the sitting room, so we couldn't watch t.v. in bed. The air conditioner worked fine in the sitting room, but not too well in the bedroom. A spider was on the shower curtain in the bathroom. Would I stay here again? Absolutely not. Not with so many hotels across the street, for a lot less money.
Made my reservation early Wednesday am for a Thursday through Sunday stay. Person named Ashley took my reservation and confirmed my rate of 139.95/night. This was awesome as other competitive hotels were not “suites.” Checking in Thursday night I was informed that the rate was only 139.95 for Thursday and went to 175.99 for the remainder of the weekend. When you live on a tight budget there is a big difference between 139 and 175. If I would of known when I made the reservation that the rate hiked that much, then I would of stayed at the Harborside for 202 a night and saved 40 minutes of daily driving to my mothers assisted living center near the lakeshore. Overall the hotel was Great but am giving the reduced star value due to the room rate issue. Hotel was clean and the suite was nice. Air was cold and the tv had all the popular channels. If I would of checked in and reviewed the rate promised then this review would be nothing short of excellent. My caution is to ask for the daily rate so that you make a fully informed choice when choosing your lodging options in Kenosha, WI MICHAEL T RICHARDS
There's no pool and no free breakfast, but you get a suite with a kitchen, not just a dorm room refrigerator and a microwave. The rooms are spacious and really clean. Front desk employees are very friendly. It's located out by the freeway. If you're considering another hotel, consider if you need free breakfast or a pool because this hotel will like be a lot cheaper than the others nearby and there is a dunkin donuts right down the road. Plus lots of other shopping options in the area.
This was our first time staying at a Candlewood Suites, and everything went pretty well. We normally stay at Holiday Inn Express, but we found this one for 10,000 points on the IHG app and decided to stay. We were a very late check-in after midnight. Check-in went smoothly and the room was nice. Only two complaints I would have was the STRONG marijuana smell in the first floor hallway and the lack of a breakfast.
