UNA Hotel Mediterraneo

First unpleasant and illogical thing starts form the first steps: 1. One have to force about 10 steps with no opportunity to carry baggage on rolls, You need to take it on hands. 2. Very limited space at reception 3. long check in 4. Almost no space for lobby, 2 sofas with just 4 or 5 sitting places 5. Small, slow and no properly working elevators 6. Old fashioned, old built bathrooms 7. Everything to be separately asked at the reception, like soap, bath salt, bath amenities, kettles, umbrellas, etc. which is very uncomfortable. 8. Old, bad smelling and awfully looking corridors 9. Small, noisy and illogical organized area for breakfast, service stuff during breakfast were very noisy: putting plates, glasses, etc. (I do not mean speaking with each other). 10. Poor quality of coffee, not clean and good vegetables. Hotel needs deep renovation or even reconstruction as it is obvious that it has been constructed some decades ago and does not meet standards of our days, especially concerning with relations and attitude to its clients, people with disabilities.

Not a 4 stars for sure and too expensive compared to the low quality... bad connection, poor room (really noisy) and sad breakfast. The only good thing is the position, close to the tube and many restaurants

The hotel is out side the ring road of Milan city but very close the metro and tramps systems. The staff are friendly and the breakfast is just fine. Hotel is very clean and there are plenty of restaurants around

I booked the hotel for two nights for my grandparents who were visiting me. At the check in we realized they didn’t have the passport with them and I asked if possible to send them later via email, the receptionist replied that if we didn’t show our documents there was no way we could access the hotel (is this the warm welcome Una Hotels extends to their guests?) I asked to speak to a manager and the receptionist replied he doesn’t want to see you and I could hear him talking on the back office, so after me asking again Mr. Nicola Quaglia, the general manager showed up saying: what isn’t clear to you? No documents not entering the hotel! I asked if he could understand that they had a long trip and are in old age plus it was late in the evening and i would have send the documents later by email and he replied:NO! And don’t even think that the money you paid is going to be refunded! I would have never expect this from a GM and especially if he is so rude to the guests what is the example he gives to his staff? So i had to walk my grandparents at the hotel where I was staying and they were way too understanding checked them in and I later send them the copy of passports by email. So I stayed instead at the una hotel mediterraneo. During the night it was cold and i asked how to put on the heating system and they replied there is no heating is still hot outside in October (the room was freezing as the housekeeping has left the air conditioning on). The wifi was bad so I couldn’t even work that night. I went out to the hotel to smoke a cigarette and at the reception i heard a couple of guests complaining that was cold in their room and i saw a staff member handing over blankets at the reception, horrible to watch that scene, they should at least have them delivered in their room. Breakfast was poor, in room amenities they had only one soap, i had to ask for slippers and thankfully i had my bodyshower and shampoo. Everything about the hotel was poor but most of all the service and the attitude of the general manager. The area of Porta Romana has many hotels, some of them new and definitely I am not booking this hotel in the future.

It’s quite central and close to Porta Romana subway station. The room is clean and spacious with all comforts but a bit noisy for the traffic until late. The staff is kind and available to store the luggage in case of city shopping. There is a rich breakfast even if the table where the food is displayed is narrow, sometimes difficult to reach and it becomes crowded easily. The quality/price rate is not well balance but if we consider the good location and life cost of this city probably it might be comprehensible.

This hotel provides a comfortable room and a luxurious bathroom, all very clean. Moreover, everyday when we got back to our room after breakfast, our room had already been cleaned. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty and the coffee was good. The staff was very friendly. The location of the hotel was ideal: about 20 minutes walking to the duomo, about 2 minutes walking to the nearest metro station.

We spent 3 nights in this hotel which I chose for its convenient location both for Linate airport and the city centre (via metro - direct line to Central station too). Overall we were satisfied with our stay. Our room was comfortable although there was some noise from the street below. The bathroom was also satisfactory. Breakfast was adequate but not exceptional - coffee was very poor, the choice of cereals was limited etc. Staff were very friendly and helpful. There are a number of pleasant local restaurants close by.

This hotel is a couple of minutes walk from Porta Romana metro station which is on a direct line to Centrale railway station, and only three stops from the city centre, so very conveniently located. It is modern - relatively new, and very clean. The staff are helpful and pleasant. There was free wifi throughout. Our room was nice with a comfortable bed, and the bathroom had natural daylight which added to its attractions, but extremely small - fine for a stay of one or two nights, but no more. However, I have stayed in other hotels in the Una chain, and you know what you are getting, and this hotel was far less expensive than most of the other Milan options. Breakfast was perfectly good. Would stay here again.

Desk staff welcoming. Room small but clean and adequate. Mattress too hard for me to sleep well. Breakfast what you would expect for hotel in large city, except coffee was vile - we couldn't tell whether it was tea, coffee or chocolate!! Good location.

I've recently visited this hotel for a business trip just outside of Milan. The hotel is comfortable and ideal for short stays. The center is only 10 mins away via Metro and thee are good restaurants in the area. The hotel is also just 20 mins away by car from Linate airport. Will surely revisit should I be in Milan
