The night receptionist Mr Ziang is rude, interrupts every conversation, has no empathy and is generally a poor representation of your hotel. I have sent a complaint through the contacts page as he would not call a night manager or listen to any issues that are down to the hotel. When I tried to explain that I needed to have wifi access to speak to my husband who is in hospital in the UK he told me that there was nothing he could do and threatened to call the police if I didn't "go away"!!! Whilst I appreciate that there is little that could be done at this time, telling me I didn't even seem as if I wanted to speak to my husband (from an open reception area as this was the only choice) and that I should "go away" again and then refusing to even have a conversation with me (in a calm manner) is appalling. I have stayed here before but will NEVER recommend this hotel to either my colleagues or anyone else in the future purely due to Mr Ziang. Really interested to see if I get a response!!!
I have been in this hotel for the first time in 1959, as a child with my family... I have been there many more times since, mainly due to what I have written in the title of this review: It is located about 10-15 minutes walk from the Piazza del Duomo; it is clean; it is very friendly and its staff are very helpful; its rooms are rather comfortable and relatively well maintained (in the course of the time they had been renovated several times); breakfast is nice and quite rich compared to other similar level hotels I have seen around the world - and, most important, throughout our stay we had nothing to complain about... Areas for improvement: A coffee/tea set in the room could be nice - and so would be some fresh vegetables at breakfast... Small things that could make a difference...
Room was clean albeit the air con did not work and decor was generally a bit shabby. Bar was intermittent. One night staff chose to open it the other night they couldn't be bothered. OK location. Bar across road was OK.
I travel almost every week for business and certainly have had my share of "nice"hotels. Having been to milan on vacation once years again and again many times for work, I knew to be near the Duomo. This hotel had a very adequate breakfast, clean rooms and helpful staff. No other Americans there interestingly. It's right in the area you want to be, plenty of cabs, a bike rental right accross the street. This is exactly where you want to be and I figured it saved me €75-100 per night too. Only complaint - no AC at least in our room. Not a big deal in no-humidity early march, but I would have not liked in the summer. Great spot overall.
Clean and Modern, professional staff. Small compact rooms, lots of noise from Hotel staff mainly the cleaners talking loudly as they clean the rooms. Noise from outside traffic, nice bathroom. 20mins walk to City Centre. Had to switch off the electric circuit breaker to stop the buzzing sound. Minibar expensive 2Euros for a small bottle of water!. Free wifi. Can hear people walking and talking in street down below. Avoid booking a shuttle through the Hotel instead go online to CityTaxi site. Hotel charges 120Euro each way to airport!
while I had sent mail to the hotel that I want transfer from and to the airport, never nobody came to pick up.when we arrived to the hotel the room smelled so disgusting..the breakfast it was very poor. The rooms very small .
Location is pretty good: near the Duomo cathedral and metro is 100 m. Via Torino is next street, so Ambrosiana gallery too. I chose spacious room for three members in our family and it was right that! The hotel staff, breakfast and a room were great! The price was rather high. The only poor was that there was no tea-tray and a kettle.
Milan is not cheap as city for accomodation. Zurigo hotel come on top if u consider location price and rooms. It is clean but pretty basic. Staff is polite and friendly best to go in march April Very central
I stayed in this hotel for third time and its always the option for me because its really in the center. Their breakfast is good but it would be better if it would have more veggies to eat. They could add some beers in their mini bars. The staff is very friendly. I like staying here every time.
I just stayed at Hotel Zurigo for 3 nights. This hotel has several advantages, most notably its staff. I arrived from the airport at 8am, and I was exhausted. I asked if I could have early entry into my room-and that I was ok paying for an extra nights stay (about 150 euros), as I needed the sleep for later that day. The gentleman behind the counter was very helpful, found an open room, and let me check in at 8am for no additional charge. The location is also very good. The hotel is within walking distance of the Duomo (a church you must visit if you are a tourist). Breakfast is included in the hotel stay. The room we stayed in was spacious, modern, and spotless. Room rates were reasonable, in my opinion. I would stay here again if I had the opportunity-mainly because of the hotel staff.
