We stayed at this property during our visit to Milan. This hotel is in the center of the shopping places and walkable to the Duomo. Wonderful rooms and good concierge. The place has good breakfast and dinner options.
We checked into this hotel on 16Jun2017 and continue to stay in the hotel as I write this review. I am a Marriott Gold member and prefer to stay at Marriott Hotels at every location. Boscolo Milano takes the cake for offering poor service across various areas. We have two rooms and the air-conditioner was not working in one of the rooms. As we were going out in the morning, we requested for a change of room and the reception agreed to the change. We told the reception not to move our belongings since they were not packed and we will move ourselves when we come back in the afternoon. When we came back, we asked the reception (Samuel) if we can move to the new room. Samuel said that the belongings have been moved to the new room. When we asked how come they moved the items to the new room when we had specifically mentioned not to, Samuel said "this is the way we do things here". When we confronted him, he said things have not been moved and the new room is ready! There was no sense of regret or apology. It is shocking how Marriott can put up with employees like Samuel. This incident is not in isolation. In both toilets, the hot and cold water shower mixer was not working and I decided that there is no point changing rooms again. I asked for an iron board and iron box and they were not able to give one. They ran out of it and unable to offer any alternatives (like ironing the clothes) We dined at their roof top restaurant. We are vegetarians and assumed that we will get some veg dishes since it was an Italian restaurant. The menu had very limited veg options. The waitress who served us refused to entertain any request for food which is not in the menu (although the Chef came out and was willing)! It appears that not serving the guests runs deep in the culture of Boscolo Milano. It is best to stay out of this hotel!
Every time my wife and I take road-trip, I just ask her to make the last day special, meaning "get me the best." So, after ten days driving around the north of Italy, she chose the Boscolo for the last night in Milan, before returning home. Upon arrival, the doorman welcomed us at a private parking garage, and quickly took care of our stuff and guided us to the front lobby for a quick check-in (courtesy of a super cool Mexican guy who made us feel at home right away). Then, after arriving in one of the most modern designed rooms I remember, I called the spa for a last-minute appointment for a back massage, followed by a chilling time at the underground pool, before leaving to a great dining experience (also recommended by their concierge). Last but not least, the bed. What a bed. This place is simply fantastic. And my wife did great!
I think when reviewing any Italian hotel you have to hold them to a different standard. This hotel is "quirky" from a room design point of view, but you couldn't ask for a nicer, more accommodating staff. The location is perfect just two short blocks from the Duomo and in the heart of the famous Milan shopping area. I traveled the week before mens fashion week and the rates were great. I checked for fall fashion week rates and not surprisingly the price doubled.
Stayed here very recently, early checkin was not possible for a platinum member?? The rooms are very tired and not clean. See the pictures. Reception staff was very friendly, but the rooms are just awkward....the rooftop terrace was also very tired. This place needs a serious maintenance team or a serious renovation and attention to detail...Room upgrade as platinum was also not to remember....I have a very good experience with Autograph Collection. This hotel needs to step up their game or loose the Autograph label. Location is the only reason I gave it 3 stars
It is a beautiful property unique infrastructure. We loved our stay at boscolo. The staff was very friendly and helpful . Great location right in the middle of all the big brands , lots of restaurants in the walking distance
Loved this hotel and Massimiliano went out of his way to accommodate my demands of not being near the elevators and in a quiet room with a wonderful view of the Duomo. It was a perfect stay, and the spa/pool is as wonderful as it looks in the pictures. It was the perfect solution for a weary traveler with back problems.
The Boscolo Milano is a stunning property with absolute world class service. It is located just blocks from the Fashion District and the Centro Storico. We could be at the Duomo in less that 5 mins by foot. The hotel itself is very modern and chic, as you would expect from a hotel in a fashion forward city like Milan. The staff is welcoming and gracious at all times. Our room we incredibly comfortable and spacious. They offered a complimentary mobile device called "Handy" to help us around the city as well as to make any necessary international calls. While we did have our own phones, it helped keep roaming charges low when we used the Handy for directions and recommendations in the city. The rooftop restaurant bar was under renovation during out stay, but we did dine in the main restaurant and the food was delicious. The service was exceptional. If you love to visit the spa, this property should be added to you short list. There is an instant visual transportation to another world and calm completely envelopes you.
From walking into this beautiful hotel until checking out we loved this hotel, when we arrived the reception staff were so friendly, they arranged for drinks and snacks to be delivered to our room, we were exhausted and looked a little worse for wear after hiking in Switzerland, but no one judged us and treated us with the utmost respect. We loved the stylish room and the facilities were fantastic, separate bathroom to toilet, pillows for you to choose from, free us if a mobile phone, you can take it around Milan and use the information and maps. After a quick shower we hopped into bed and slept really well, we both felt refreshed and ready to go sightseeing in Milan. Breakfast was very good, the best we had all week, bacon, eggs, breads, meats, cheese and fruits, if they didn't have what you wanted the waiters were only to happy to help. Service was first class, could not have asked for more! We requested a late check out and this was not a problem, we headed out for a stroll, the hotel is in a great location for shopping and sightseeing. On our return we had a speedy checkout, requested a taxi, by the time we had paid the bill our luggage was in the cab and off we went. Our only disappointment was not to be staying longer. Loved this hotel
I have actually stayed at Boscolo in March 2016 for our annual work conference and even thought unfortunately I did not have the time to visit the amazing Spa I was very happy with my room, modern and quirky with al comforts and very happy about the customer service. Top class!
