We chose the Boscolo Milano for its proximity to the La Scala Opera House, and built our trip around music and fine dining. If you are going to La Scala and want a convenient venue, Boscolo Milano is a perfect three minute stroll from the theatre. Fine dining options abound, and you are minutes from the Galleria and the Duomo. As for the hotel, the concierges are excellent, helpful, and eager to assist. The breakfast buffet is outstanding, (and free to Marriott Rewards members with gold status). Even if it wasn't free, it would have been worth the price. The roof-top view of the Duomo is serene and inspiring. I was disappointed that for two of our nights staying at the hotel the roof top was booked by a private party, which forced us to make a foray into the local night-cap scene, which is good for dining, but can be tough to match your mood if you want to stay close. The rooms are modern, clean, efficient, and the house staff did a great job keeping it fresh. I typically travel for business, so I was pleased that the hotel would have fit either my personal "music travels" or my next business venture to Milan.
People say modern decor ... I think the hotel hasn't been renovated since the 80s!! Seems old and a bit worn. We arrived too early for check in (10:00) so i understand having to wait but it took until exactly 3:00 (the allowable check in time) for a room. Location is great for shopping and the duomo. In all fairness I was only there one night so didn't take advantage of the amenities so I can't comment on those. And despite my personal thoughts on the decor, the room was very spacious.
We stayed at the Boscolo hotel in Milan for a night prior to a Mediterranean cruise. This is a beautiful hotel contemporary in it’s Decour. The hotel has a lovely restaurant that serves breakfast beautifully appointed rooms with very comfortable accommodations. This is a convenient location, Close to shops restaurants and attractions. Would definitely stay here again if I were visiting Milan.
We stayed at he Boscolo for a single night in September. The room had a great view of the Duomo, and was very spacious and comfortable. Staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful. The only area I would say this hotel could improve would be with food service in their lounge and restaurant upstairs. Service was just very slow. This restaurant actually has a very cool feel, and great outdoor seating too. The location of this hotel was very convenient in the city too lots of great shopping and dining nearby.
Very modern, glitzy hotel in great location for sightseeing. Close to Cathedral and with lots of shopping areas nearby. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is wonderful but if you have to pay 25 Euros you are better off visiting any number of the nearby cafés. Spa / pool is a great feature with nice sauna and steam room. Don't miss the view from the rooftop bar, but again drinks are wildly overpriced. Weak link is the rooms - lots of hallway noise seepage, small and a/c is spotty. But otherwise clean and nicely equipped. The decor is not for everyone, if you are looking for traditional old school Europe, not for you, but if you like modern chic, this is the place.
Love the hotel. It is very trendy. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room we got was very clean as well. Unfortunately we stayed for 2 days and both days the AC wasn't working. They did let us stay in another room for both nights to sleep but it was kind of a let down. They should of just had us move to another floor instead we slept in different rooms each night and had to return back to our room.
Well, it was my first trip do Milan but my 2nd time in a Boscolo Hotel. I was a bit disappointed with the building since my first BOSCOLO was the AMAZING Boscolo Rome. :D The decoration is too modern for me, rooms were ok, not amazing. The main feature of this hotel is that it is close to everything: the Duomo, Vittorio Emmanuelle, hop on hop off bus, etc. The staff was really nice, Edoardo the guy in the reception was really cool and very very nice! :D
My husband and I stayed one night at Boscolo. The Hotel decor is very unique and modern. The Front Desk agent that took care of us, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The Spa is also beautiful and chic... the only thing we didn’t like is the pool water being too cold. All the staff is very professional. The Breakfast spread is outstanding! Highly recommend this hotel
Staff was very friendly, helpful and most spoke English. Rooms are very trendy. I'm not a fan of the glass wall separating the bathroom sink area from the toilet. Bed was comfortable & everything very clean. Buffet breakfast was excellent. The bar on the roof has a great view, but the drinks are pricey
Went to Boscolo hotel in Milan for 2 nights had a lovely time . The food in the hotel is very expensive , but it's Alcatel that's why . Spent an afternoon in there spa, which was lovely . climb the cathedral , which was over 100 Steps but make sure when you go you need to have your arms covered no vest tops , and went shopping around the town . Everything was expensive but you are in Milan ,
