Hummm, I’ll have to give this place an average rating. If only come back here if I had no other option or if the price was right! Lobby: Small but efficient & most of the employees spoke English, making checking in for this American girl quite easy. There’s a sign giving out the free WiFi information. Rooms: We stayed on the 5th floor & after walking out the cool elevators, you’re slapped in the face with the heat! Urghhhh, it was even hot in the rooms. Why have a thermostat in the room with the capability of a cool setting if it doesn’t work?!? Every night we slept with the window opened aka it only stayed open slightly due to the type of window. I thought the hot room was only ours but talking with other guests, it’s just how the hotel is; heat on full blast. The beds were also unusably hard, not comfortable at all. I did find it interesting, the rooms have an actual key to get in. Breakfast: Not my favorite food items but enough to not leave the hotel hungry. The offerings were: coffee, pastries, cereal, yogurt, breads, mixed fruit cocktail, sliced salami/meats/cheeses & some runny eggs. Location: This was my favorite part about the hotel, it’s within walking distance to all the pizza, pasta & gelato places you can eat. There’s also a metro stop around the corner. We walked to the city center often, it was a 30min easy walk.
Very good hotel in an nice good neighborhood, very near metro station ,shops and restaurants, nice breakfast ,good rooms, good bathroom but flooded after the shower staff is very friendly and efficient. The restaurant is the bad bad rating, an pasta reheated was the worse food I've tasted in all Italy...go to McDonalds!!
The only thing that bothered me and affect rating badly is the wifi - pretty much useless with frustration and waste of time waiting. Who doesn't need wifi when traveling to do research, etc? Other than this, everything else is very good. Clean, sheets are nice, quiet, breakfast is very good, a little far but near metro and train station, so not big deal. I wish they could really fix their wifi consider how much it would bring down traveler experience.
Arriving at my hotel for my very first visit to Italy comforting. The room was comfortable, clean and well maintained. I immediately felt at home with a general good list of amenities such as hangers, a room safe (very important for me) and a minibar. The shower was hot although not as comfortable as expected with only a piece of glass that was did not keep the water from flowing onto the floor. I did notice that there was a drain right under the sink, which I would suspect is how the water would get out. Weird! Room service- EXCELLENT...prompt and very friendly service. Dining (breakfast) not the best but definitely good. Room was a bit small but it worked. My two disappointments: 1) I was shocked to discover that Italian hotels do not have irons in the rooms (for safety they said) but you can smoke in the rooms... how weird is that? I get the safety issues but to go around town and to meetings wrinkled because their laundry service does not work on weekends it not ideal. 2) the WIFI was not steady on the last two days I was there. Not good signals and I could hardly get an email off...not good when I was in town for business. To mention the TV channels were all in italian would be too much but the sad part was that the in-room information booklet stated that channels in english were also available but I never found them or had access to them. Overall, my stay was again comfortable and pleasant. The staff are all friendly, helpful and attentive.
The room itself is lovely. Spacious and comfortable with an ultra comfy bed. Staff is courteous and helpful. Location is terrific with two metro stops, plenty of restaurants and stores nearby. Ok now the problems: the room is hotter than the hinges of hell and we are visiting in February!!! We leave the window open every minute we are here. The television and internet connection, generously put, is sketchy. It is literally impossible not to flood the bathroom floor when showering due to half doors on the tub that do not prevent water from going beneath and around them. The breakfast is perhaps a 3 out of 5 with scrambled eggs the consistency of egg drop soup and perfectly awful coffee. There is a whole lot to like here and it COULD be a destination hotel. The problems are eminently addressable and the “bones” are good. Fine tuning would make all the difference
The Hotel is located in a very nice area with the flavor of real life: street markets (on Saturday), restaurants a park for children. It is at walking distance from the metro and just off Corso Sempione. Nevertheless, it is quite. We were worried (because it is close to the Children Hospital) to be disturbed by ambulances but this proved not to be the case. Our room was small but clean. Breakfast from the buffet varied and abundant. The staff has been friendly and helpful. For what we paid an excellent deal.
I stayed here for 4 nights and it wasn’t bad. The hotel is a bit dated but the rooms were clean. One thing I didn’t like was that taking a shower meant that water was covering the floor. Bring your own roll of toilet paper if you can. The staff was nice. I attempted to try the restaurant and I was not impressed at all. You’ll do better ordering and getting food delivered. The electricity went out in my room and staff was helpful in getting moved to another room. Not a bad experience. You get what you pay for.
After reading some of the reviews about this hotel I didn't know what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. I think many folks that have not traveled alot compare the stars in US hotels to the stars in European hotels. They aren't the same at all. First of all our bed was wonderful and the room was clean. the breakfast was the same each of the four days we were there but I understand that, too. I loved the fact that you could walk to dozens of restaurants at night easily and that the metro stop was not even two blocks away making it easy to tour the city. the staff was very helpful.
The hotel is in a good location. Non in the city centre but in a nice area, with many shops arounds. Near to tram 1 and metro 5, which is very convenient. Good breakfast. The only negative thing is that the hotel is a little bit old. Could use some renovation.
We arrived with family on 1/18, 6 of us traveling together and we had 3 rooms. After a long day of touring, My 20 year old daughter noticed her bag had been moved from the nightstand cubby where she left it in her room, to the side of her bed. Her bag was ransacked, zippers left opened, and $100 bill missing. "Carmela" was her housekeeper. Being this was a Friday night, I was told there was no manager until Monday morning that could look into what happened. This was an upsetting experience for us. My daughter learned a valuable lesson to never leave any amount of money unsecured. When I approached the manager Monday morning, he was professional, and did his best to investigate what happened. To be fair, we had no other complaints with this hotel and didn't let this incident ruin our trip. It's in a great location, with plenty of restaurants in walking distance, and public transportation close by. Rooms were clean and well maintained, breakfast was wonderful and plentiful. Overall, we enjoyed our trip and this hotel.
