no AC. no refrigerator. No locks on windows that don't fully shut. Hookers waiting in doorways of hotel rooms as pimps and johns walk the hallways. NO REFUNDS even if you never check in. SCAM. FRAUD dangerous area.

This is a cheap hotel which is, well, not very comfortable. My room didn't have a window. I could not regulate heat. No extra blankets. Furniture was visibly old. The shower curtain was literally black with dirt. Hotel staff are mostly nice people but there is nothing they can do because they have zero resources to help you. They promise help -- because they are instructed to do so -- but be assured that nothing will change. I tried to get a clean shower curtain for 2 days out of the total 5 days I stayed there. Each time the attendant would politely promise to find it for me later, and eventually I simply gave up. Due to my background, I am possibly more used to this type of situation than an average traveler. I relied on good humor to carry on. But if you are not sure about your optimism, pay more for a better place. The neighborhood is deserted after dark but didn't seem unsafe to me. Two lines of public transportation (a bus stop is 1 min. walk away and the Canal St. trolley is 10 min. walk) will take you to Central city, French quarter, etc. They operate till reasonably late at night. WiFi works. Bring your own hair dryer. No iron could be obtained. Having some type of flip-flops for use in the bathroom is highly recommended. Use your smartphone for a wake-up call. You'll be fine!

They cancelled my room that I had already paid for and resold it because I didn't call them to tell them I was going to be checking in late. Then they didn't have any other rooms available.

Well I have always been told you get what you pay for. But I have been in a lot cheap hotels and not ever had this kind of experience. Upon walking into room the smell was so bad! Then we had no lights in the bathroom or sink area. Only one electrical socket was working. The faucet in the sink was broken and fell off every time you touched it. And NO TILOTET PAPER!!!! However, everyone was very friendly in housekeeping. Only the lady at the front desk, on the first night, was unfriendly and nit helpful at all. The rest of the staff was very friendly and helpful. So to have a place to put your head down after being out on the town all night it severed the purpose.

Its not in the nicest area of new orleans. Window didn't lock. Safe didnt work.

The worst experience. I had to leave immediately!

1. Toilet broken. Chain in the tank was broken. I had to fill the water tank up each time (by filling up a small trash can with water from the bathtub) and stick my arm/hand down into the toilet tank to pull up the rubber flap up so that the water would flush. Disgusting. No phones in the room, so I called the front desk from my cell phone. The rep promised to send maintenance up but no one ever came. When I checked out, I was told by another rep that the room was not supposed to be booked because of the toilet issue. 2. Elevators were out of order. I had a leg surgery a few months back, so I was NOT happy about walking up 3 flights of stairs. 3. Cigarette butts & used napkins & toilet paper underneath the beds. 4. I pulled back the sheets on the beds and the mattresses had so many disgusting stains on them. The bed covers had what looked like ink stains on them. I felt so dirty in there and bought a sleeping bag to zip myself up in. I did not want my body touching anything on that bed. Appeared to be infested! 5. Missing fixtures in the bathroom. Nowhere to hang towels. Paint peeling from the bathroom walls. 6. I prepaid for 3 days, but checked out after 2 days when other hotels became available after a busy weekend of events in the city. The hotel read my initial complaint/rating and advised that they were looking into the matter, but I have not heard back from them.

we could not get towles for the room, it had no toliet paper nor a trashcan. if your just in the city for one night and needa cheap last minute place take it. if theres better for 25-50$ higher theyll be worth it trust me.

The room had trash behind the bedside table left from previous guest, peeling wallpaper, and a tub full of hair. The box spring on one of the beds was broken. The a/c finally cooled off on the second day before I checked out. I was a third floor guest and the elevator went out the same time my room card stopped working and I had to go up and down three flights of stairs multiple times to get in my room. Not to mention the homeless man walking around the courtyard turning door knobs. Do not stay here, I was waiting for a slasher movie to breakout.

Was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. It has never been cleaned, towels were stained and gross, and the floor was so disgusting that we didn't want to keep our shoes on the floor. No phone in room and the front staff were pretty much useless. Wanted a cheap place to stay during Voodoo Fest, and you really do get what you pay for, however we paid wayyyy too much for this abomination.

Horrible horrible horrible. Stay away from here!!!

Could not check in on time, had to wait an hour. First room sent to was very dirty. Second room sent to was under remodeling. Third room was not clean but better than the first, accepted this room as I needed a room and knew it was the best I could get. There was no manager onsite so no refund would have been possible. Room had a stagnant mold/smoke smell, there was uncleaned hair around the sink area, the bathroom curtain was moldy. Did not want to touch anything while staying. Orbitz should not have this hotel on their websie.

I had great time my 5 days in new Orleans...this hotel was very nice very convenient easy transportation to everywhere..hotel staff.great people no complaints....hotel nice and clean if i decided again to come in..definaly i may stay here again....

when we arrived no towels or toilet paper room seemed clean its a older hotel but still in great location

A little off the beaten path -- ten minute walk to Canal St. street car line, but a lot cheaper than the big hotels. Slightly seedy, in a funky but friendly neighborhood and only two blocks from a direct bus to the airport. Since I was there only to sleep at night, I didn't need all the amenities of a first class hotel.

We stayed 4 days in this hotel and since the first night we came there, there has been dirt on the floor, under the bed. We told the staff to clean it but in 4 days nothing happened! They only cleaned the tub, sink, tables but that was all. The only thing that was clean and good about the hotel was the pool.

One of them stains you could find. Won't add other pictures cause I didn't want to full my camera roll with these.
