When I booked online i needed something overnight before our crise. It looked ok online.when I got to the room , it looked like a prostitute crackhead motel. The bed was dirty, the room smelled of old smoke an cigarettes, the lamp shade was burnt, there were cigarette burns in furniture, the door looked pushed in, and dirty as hell. I quickly closed that door back and got my money back. The worse place I ever seen in my life, dont ever come here. I wouldnt let a stray dog sleep in that place, disgusting.
Stayed for 5 minutes and searched for other hotels to stay. Even cladly paied 5 night for storno. Rooms can´t be described how dirty and filthy everything is! Body fluids on bed linen. Doors have been crashed and somehow repaired. Dirty walls and floors you don´t want to walk on. Spend extra money somewhere else.
Okay, so listen, I’m an average Millennial, always looking for a good deal, so when I saw that this was the cheapest hotel in the area, I figured I could handle whatever the experience threw at me. After all, I would be in Miami, nothing can suck in Miami. My friend and I arrived via Uber, the check in process was easy and the man behind the counter was a little too friendly, but completely unthreatening. We got to our room and were a little stunned by the condition. The floors are so dirty that we had to keep our shoes on the whole time, the bathroom looks like a place you would go to do heroin, there were no lightbulbs in any of the lights except for a bedside lamp, and there was about a 2 inch gap between the floor in the bottom of the door. We noticed this because a stray cat kept sticking it’s paw through the gap and into our room. There were no towels, so we couldn’t even roll one up to block our feline friend. There is a gyro restaurant attached to the hotel. The owner of this restaurant is… Let’s say “very friendly“. He kept trying to get into our room. He didn’t seem dangerous or anything, but when you have two young women traveling together, it’s a little creepy to have a strange man knocking on your door at 4am.
Was looking for a cheap place but the other reviews are spot on. The room and sheets smelled of smoke, the air con was very loud, people seemed to be talking loudly the entire night and the room is downright dingy, moldy and depressing.
If you love mildew showers, mold-infested walls, and bodily-fluid stained sheets, then this is the place for you! You even get to experience the local wildlife in your bathroom! The second I took a breathe of the garbage air and I felt my lungs instantly rot, I knew this would be the place that I die. A part of my soul was left in the room that day. 10/10 would recommend never stepping a foot into this place. We legit stayed for 30 minutes and wouldn't even put our stuff down. There is a Marriott 10 minutes away and $80 more. Pay the extra money.
This is the worst place I have ever stayed at. It looks great in the advertising but the pool is a nice square gravel area in front. The rooms are filthy not helped by the 1.5 inch gap at the door bottom. The lock on the door is by a key that fits the deadbolts on the inside and outside locks. How many copies are out there? Also being dead bolted inside makes emergency exit unsafe. High traffic with lots of honking horns all night. 1 towel unused because they know you won’t use the shower. And the sink I does not work. The window air conditioner was loud and barely cooled the room. The clerk spent most of the night in the parking lot talking to nefarious looking dudes probably making drug deals. I think it is called wishes because the owner and guests wishes someone would buy this dump and build a nice place.
I was shocked... pool is gone, hallway smells like pee, alcohol and something else. Room: that smell...aweful. floor dirty, bathroom nasty...bed was clean (to my surprise)... didn't stay the night. Too disgusted!!! Payed $20 more at another location and didn't regret leaving that place.
I went with my husband to Miami for two days during the spring break. There was no available rooms at hotels at the moment so our last option was to stay at motel. We found The wishes and we paid for two nights 200$. At the office I asked the guy over there if there are roaches and he answered "Don't worry ,the roaches are high so no problems" ... We went to the room, opened the door and strong smell of marihuana is killing you right away. I pulled the blanket to see what's going on on the sheets and I was shoked. There were many long dark hairs on it like they weren't changed, dirty spots on them, smelling dirty! The bathroom- miserable, dirty toilet and bathtub,so disquasting and uncomfortable to even step inside! We went to sleep and guess what?! It was impossible for us to sleep, because the next door people were arguing loud and fighting all night long! I felt scared ! I was not feeling safety at all also because the door was cracked and the windows were easily to be open from outside. The next night we found a cocoroache in the bed and that was the end of our horror on live! We left and looking for an available room for 3 hours finally found one at 5 stars hotel. There's no pool as they show at the pictures ! I don't know if there was one before but I guess not anymore! There's no room service as they say! The only truth is that they have free wife and free parking ! And free cocoroaches other than that they hang up a signts "no pet allowed".. why not ?! It's enough damages anyways! Please don't make my mistake , it's terrible !
remodeled but already not well cleaned, weirdest sink placement I have ever seen, poor tv options. Alot of traffic noise since it is right on 8th.aka Tamiami highway. Fairly large room, good lighting. But..great area, walk some of the residential area and see cute homes, see the Coral Gables park. Definitely walk/drive 1 mile to El Mago de las Fritas and say "hello" to the owner and have some food and fun.
This motel is unfit for human occupation, and I am about to file a report with the Florida Division of Hotels and Restaurants. My room had no smoke alarm, no phone, no clothes closet, no clothes dresser, no wastebasket, no ice bucket or cups, no coffeemaker, no lip on the shower stall to keep the water from covering the bathroom floor, and a room door that could not be closed except by locking it. An irregularly-shaped area of linoleum about 60 feet square was laid right on top of the original linoleum, creating an area 1/4 inch higher than the rest of the floor. The motel did not have a swimming pool, handicapped access to the office as required by law, an ice machine, a guest laundry room, any local television channels, a clock, or parking for more than about 12 cars for its 31 rooms. I urge one and all to avoid this place like the plague. If you somehow disregard the warnings, as I did, make sure you take your Spanish/your language dictionary, as some of the staff are monolingual.
