We stay at this hotel and we were really impressed about how nice and helpful the staff at the front desk was, specially Paula, Gilberto and Mark. We could not believe all the bad reviews we read before staying here. Our room was big, the bathroom looked just remodeled, the room was cleaned everyday and got fresh towels everyday as well. We love having the breakfast in the courtyard patio, breakfast was enough for us with bagels, muffins, different types of cereal, oatmeal, yogurts, juices, coffee, tea. Just loved waking up to the smell of coffee before 7 am. Our room was located in the courtyard. We definitely will come back and recommend these little hidden gem to our friends and family.
Toilet did not flush, Broken/improperly mounted light switch (safety hazard), curly hairs found in the bed sheets, rude desk attendant, need I say more? Checked out an hour later and went to the Holiday Inn which was much better. I will NEVER stay at another Travelodge in the future. This place sucked!!!
Room was dirty, there was a stain of blood in one of the blankets, one of the towel had a stain of makeup, the bed was bendy in the middle and when we looked under it was broken. The bed made so much sound I was scared to move. Service was so nasty. The walls had holes. The bathroom towel holder fell out so we couldn’t even put a towel on it. At night time the parking got full but we saw from far a space, we moved the parking full cone to get in and the lady came out and started yelling at my husband. There are ways to talk to your guest like “am sorry sir but it’s full, I know it’s an inconvenience but can you please park on the other side, thank you”. But no she even stayed outside to see that we turned around it’s like she was looking for an argument. I do not recommend it and I will never stay again. 😡😱
If you need to be close to 54th Ave. this hotel might be for you bus stops are close by and transportation is pretty affordable. I stayed there all week the staff was very understanding of my lifestyle habits of smoking tobacco, there are a few restaurants nearby but the main Burke is being close to Churchhill’s Pub where lots of musicians play
This hotel was gross and such a disappointment. We have such higher expectations of Wyndham being that we Are owners of the club Wyndham. This motel was dirty and gross and nothing like online preceived it to be. The curtains in our room had huge stains on them. The sheets were dirty. The bed was so uncomfortable. The AC/heat did not work. It smelled bad. And I didn’t even want to shower in the bathroom.Breakfast was sad. Only cereal and yogurt was offered. Overall VERY disappointed with this hotel.We will never stay there again and will never recommend it to any of our friends and family
Travelodge own by Wyndham I was expecting something nice and it was ugly. If you renovated your motel why was this left undone. Remote cover is tape. Your carpet looks horrible. The bed cover I put in closet right away it looked dirty and had nail polish stain. I slept with clothes thinking I was gonna get chewed by bed bugs. Luckily I didn’t. Continental breakfast was so poor. Coffee was good at least. The hot water was warm at least. Front staff was pleasant I mean when I book this hotel on Expedia the room I got the tv wasn’t working and he changed my room. How much renovation did you guys do again? I am a fair person and I give credit when it’s due but this time I can’t. When I say renovation I am assuming cause there is still a sign saying motel bianco on the premises. Iam very disappointed with Expedia but live and learn. If I would have read this was previously a motel I wouldn’t have book it for the price I paid add 30 more and I couldn’t be next to the airport.
The hotel staff is very friendly and the manager Paula is absolutely wonderful. The location is central to everything in miami. The rooms are nice and clean and the staff is very attentive to any needs that Arise. The complementary breakfast in the morning is a nice added feature. Never will you find this property and location for the price.
Don’t spend your money here everything is out dated I killed a roach in room 36 no heat sheets are dirty bathroom is old this place is not worth the money and I travel up and down Miami checking out rooms and this was by far the worst one now the Shalimar motel on 62nd and biscayne was a nice stay house keeping keeps the room nice you go out come back everything clean and fix beautiful bathrooms big marble type tiles bright white sheets chairs and tables outside so you can sit outside your door and enjoy a smoke if you shall and it’s cheaper then this trashy longe now breakfast is not all that at the shalimar but over all it was grand
I have to say I've never seen or been to a hotel with such bad staff , the front desk man an older man who barely speaks English told me to stop talking while I was trying to check in, that he would help me in a few minutes. the motel is run down , I checked into a non Smoking room which smelled like an ash tray the second I got in my room. I'm asthmatic , so I went to the front desk to speak to someone regarding changing my room. the front desk sent housekeeping to my room to confirm if it smelled like cigarettes which she said it didn't, then goes back to the front desk to tell the man that , so it made it seem like I was crazy or lying , which I then said to the front desk come smell the room yourself, as to he then confirmed it that I was in fact telling the truth. I contacted Paula the next day who is the Manager which to me she was very dismissive and extremely rude , she had no idea I spoke Spanish , as I told her for some reason my fridge in my room is leaking water , to which she again sends the same housekeeper from the day prior to my room to see if its true , I then walk with the housekeeping to the front desk which PAULA was there and starts speaking in Spanish in front of me with the housekeeping that it in fact the heater or a/c that leaks water but , proceeds to tell the housekeeper to act crazy and pretend the issue will be resolved, and that I'm annoying. I was in outer shock that the Manager was being rude to me in a different language which she thought i did not understand. OVERALL this place is run down its very Mickey Mouse made just deciveving with pictures , I will contact corporate, from what I've observed is that Management does what ever she wants there and is extremely rude to the point of making fun of paying customers, RUDE STAFF, the place will be better if it was run in a polite professional manner and not in a uneducated classless way by PAULA or some of the STAFF
As they say you pay for what you get. It was clean and friendly staff. Room was large with a noisy a/c unit which was needed. Bed was comfortable bathroom an experience!. But it was dated and on the main road into the city. Breakfast was also an experience, everything was disposable including the cutlery. No need for a dishwasher there. Overall it was OK and served it purposed but will not be back mainly due to location.
