we were a group of three ladies and stayed in the Leslie during the last week of january prior to a weekend cruise. the hotel was fantastic! the room was...i don't know how to describe it...elegant? something as simple as curtains between the bed area and the bathroom made it feel like we were someplace special. and plenty of room for 3 people too. "breakfast included" was the one requirement for one of my friends and we were all happy with the Leslie's. it's a buffet out on the front porch - hot and cold - and very good. they have a pitcher of hot milk near the coffee - i thought this was genius! your coffee stays hot even if you like it light. the building itself is gorgeous. i love the yellow! the rooftop deck and pool are fantastic. this is where the weather let us down. it was so windy and cool we didn't get much chance to enjoy it up top. the "breakfast included" friend got into the hot tub for a few minutes and loved it while my other friend and i lounged. you can see the beach and all of ocean drive if you stand. there's a 3-4 foot wall surrounding the roof deck, which i didn't mind since even heights as low as a three story building can make me woozy. the hotel fee includes towels (and i think chairs) for the beach but again, the weather let didn't cooperate so we didn't take advantage. the staff was excellent! lilly at the front desk was especially friendly and helpful but everyone we dealt with was professional and very kind. when we got on our ship, we recognized some folks who sat at a table near us at breakfast. they were delighted with the hotel as well.
My husband and I had a great time at the Leslie. The hotel was clean & beautiful. Very modern rooms & bathrooms. The rooftop pool & hot tub were just what we after a long day of beach going & sightseeing. There were a bunch of comfy cabanas too. The lady at the front desk was always cheerful & helpful. The door men and the rest of the staff were very professional & help out a lot. Every time we headed back in the hotel we were greeted with “welcome back”. It made us feel like we were appreciated & felt welcomed. The free breakfast was very good. They had a buffet of sausage links, crispy bacon, scrambled eggs, hash browns, fruit, cereal, yogurt, coffee, orange juice & milk. What more could you ask for? We were very pleased & would stay at the Leslie again😃👍
Stayed one night. The room was beautiful, clean and fresh smelling. The staff was courteous and helpful. Breakfast was good. Loved the rooftop pool and hot tub. Only thing was- you can’t see the beach from the roof top unless you are standing. Great location too!!! It was in the center of everything.
I sent 2 e-mails from 2 different platforms and never got an answer, if this is what their customer care looks like, I never want to set a foot in it!!! I was supposed to send a package to one of their guests but I never got a reply or any kind of acknowledgment. Not worth the try...
I had reservations for the Leslie Hotel. The reservation stated that I needed to leave a one night nonrefundable deposit which I understand. I had a change in my plans and wanted to adjust the days of my travel. I read over all of their policies listed and making a change was not listed at all. I have now for an entire week been going back and forth with them about making a change to my reservation and they are being very uncooperative. If you look at their policies listed, nothing says that you can't make a change. Please do not book this hotel if you are not 100% sure of staying there. I feel as if they are trying to force me to cancel and keep my deposit at this point.
When we arrived, we were greeted with the warmest welcome ever! A super big thank you to Lily for making us immediately feel like family! The focus on customer service at the Leslie hotel is top notch. The weekend breakfast is wonderful but the true gem is the rooftop terrace, pool, and hot tub with a view of Miami Beach. The location is perfect and directly across the street from the beach. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Highly recommend!
We were in Miami on a wet weekend after a snowy NYC and got a bit of breezy sunshine on the Sunday morning. We wondered along Ocean Drive and yes people were touting for business but this looked like a nice spot with comfy chairs. We asked for free coffees and got them and had a nice breakfast in the sun and under the patio heaters. It even felt really warm despite the temperature. Relaxed atmosphere and good service.
Really. we were able to enjoy our vacation time there ! We were with our 2 Kids and its just perfect. The Room was nice We def. come back.! The Resaurant outside is not run by the Hotel (Better watch out. They tried to rip us off. for food go somewhere else) Breackfast is very basic, but great Terasse !
My husband and I stayed for three nights before joining a cruise and we had a very comfortable room, decent size no view though but it was reasonably quiet and we were only there to sleep anyway, it had a great rooftop terrace with a pool and spa very relaxing to have a swim and something to eat and drink. Hotel is in a good location on Ocean Drive, directly across the road is the beach, about a 10 minute walk you are at the shops at Lincoln Mall, there is a restaurant directly outside the doors of the Leslie Hotel which had decent food and we found the staff to be friendly, for us after walking around all day it was nice to sit have a drink and dinner, people watch and then just open a day and we were inside The Leslie Hotel for the night. If staying at the hotel it also serves your breakfast of a morning simple but adequate. We also found the staff we encountered to be friendly and polite. If I found myself in Miami again I would not hesitate to stay here again.
Ocean Boulevard is the heart of the Art Deco area. We were walking the route and there are many outside restaurants to choose from. How do you choose..... There are people soliciting for you to come and sit down and have lunch at their establishment. One can not walk more than 100 feet before being asked to sit down and have lunch at half price. The Location and activity of the area finally got to us and we accepted. Lunch prices down the street all offer half price Food and Liquor ....even at half price is too expensive. But as they say you are paying for the location and experience. We tried our first Cuban sandwiches. What a disappointment along with cold shoestring fries. If that was an example, I would never have one again. We had the smallest strawberry dacqueries but the waitress wanted to up-charge us on larger ones. Although they were ok. Have had much better strawberry dacqueries with more strawberries 20% gratuity was automatically included The area restaurants seems like a distinctive tourist trap. With restaurant competition the likes I have never seen on my travels. Stop at one of the restaurants for the experience but not for the .........obviously biased by my experience
