Ran across hotel while staying at another hotel while on business. They have a limited amount of free parking. They are up front about it and will try to squeeze you in if they can Rooms very clean and free coffee in the lobby. Near Lincoln road and not too far from the beach. It may have a funky look on the outside but kind and caring on the inside

We call the hotel before booking. The front desk lady didn't take the time to answer our questions. We needed 2 rooms, I ask her if she had 2, her answer was go online, go online and book. I don't got time for you. Wow amazing customer service. Still we needed 2 rooms and on Orbitz said, they have 3 left. For some reason we couldn't book 2 rooms at the same time. We book 1 and then try again. Orbitz system didn't let's us, book the 2nd room. Call again the hotel, same lady, same attitude. We end up booking another hotel, call again to cancel and the lady no help what so ever. Horrible service, Horrible attitude, Horrible managerment. They rob us.

First off, the staff and cleaning crew were extremely nice and were very accommodating to our requests. We asked if we could park in the limited parking lot before our check in time so that we could go to the beach, and they allowed us to do so. It's nice that the hotel offers free parking, but the lot is very limited and they do have a sign in the lobby that states that parking is complimentary but not guaranteed, so when it's very busy, you may not get a spot and will be forced to find parking elsewhere. The rooms are pretty small and are very basic, which is what we expected for the price we paid. The bathrooms were clean, and stocked with hand soap and shampoo. Beds were clean, and the bath towels were too. The beds were somewhat uncomfortable and squeaky, probably just from being old. Outlets for charging things were very limited, a couple of them being 2 prong instead of the normal 3 prong. I discovered this when trying to plug in my laptop for checking into our flight. Our room offered a mini fridge which was really nice. The television had what seemed like 150 channels, but only a handful were actually anything good. Many of them seemed to be repeats of the same channels over and over. I was not very happy with the channel selection as I was trying to watch a basketball game, but again for the price we paid, I can't really complain. Overall, I would say the hotel met our needs. The staff was friendly, and the price was very reasonable.

They keep your keys and valet park if their parking becomes full - (and there is still room between the cars.) It is very close to beach and the most charming hotel and they have coffee 24 hrs!!

This is an older hotel. For the price it was great. Close enough to walk anywhere, beach, food, mall. The rooms were super clean and I loved the artsy decor. The staff was super friendly and helpful with anything we asked.

We chose the James Hotel because of its convenient location and free parking, something that most South Beach hotels do not have. It is located across the street from Duck Tours and a bike rental place, and around the corner from a segway rental placer, all of which we did. The Lincoln Road Mall (on which the segway renal place was) has a CVS pharmacy that we frequented to pick up incidentals and lots of clothing and souvenir shops. We drove our car to nearby 41st street to eat at various kosher restaurants for lunch and dinner. The room was simple but the WiFi worked and the convenience was great.

Very convenient to everything in South Beach. Room was fine. Hotel staff very friendly, professional, and courteous.

The hotel was a very eclectic not five star by any means but the staff was very friendly and the room was clean. The hotel is in a good location to see all that South Beach has to offer

Had a wonderful time. Sweet staff!! Very nice people. Lots to look at. Felt like I was in central/ South America. Free parking!!!!! And location in Sobe was spectacular

Mr. A.L., we are sorry for your bad experience. We can't understand why the web sight didn't process your 2 room reservation. By, the way, in over thousand evaluations we haven't suffered such a low rating from a "guest"who even didn't stay in our Hotel.
