HI Miami Beach - Hostel

The location is great – 5 minutes walk from the beach. The room is very large. It is possible to find a quiet room, as many of them are not facing the busy road.

I was on a romantic getaway in Miami, and Eva is located right in the heart of things. But, the hotel is in the process of converting to a youth hostel. On the plus side, the traditional hotel rooms are actually quite nice -- nicer than you'd expect for a hotel converting to a youth hostel :) Also, there's an AMAZING high-end taqueria on the first floor, well worth visiting even if you aren't staying at the hotel. And the cleaning staff are very kind. However, the front desk staff were overwhelmed by the sheer volume of hostel check-ins and check-outs and other logistics, which led at least one of the international student travelers to start yelling. So, I'd say: the traditional hotel rooms/the hotel overall is a good option for a budget traveler (I have no idea what the hostel rooms look like), but maybe not ideal for a romantic getaway :)

The only great thing about this hotel is the location. It was located on the strip. I didn't like the fact that you have to take a dirty towel up front just to get a clean one. Also, the hotel room should've came with a microwave or at least one in the lobby. Overall, the hotel is overpriced.

The wifi wouldn't connect, and I was charged a $6 "Resort Fee" at check in, on top of the rate I already paid. Great location but not a great place.

this hotel is an inconvience and the parking is riduculous.....

This hotel is in a great location!!!!!, but parking is a BIG inconvience. The parking lot is underneath the hotel, cost $25 a day(the must be mad!!), and parking spaces are so tiny: If any of the 'southbeachians' had a couple too many drinks, there would be a disaster in this parking lot. The hotel itself is ok but its rooms are situated on the side of the building with absolutely no sunlight. Its dark and gloomy at night. The house keeping didn't really clean the rooms well, or change the sheets often. We could tell b'cas we continuesly had sand in the bed. The floors are some type of cheap tile, which is ok but the floors always felt cold, wet and grity. So make sure you bring slippers for this floor. The room itself was ok, the bed slept great and the linens felt really good. As soon as I arrived the 1st thing they asked for was a security deposit of $150 which I didn't understand b'cas trip was paid for in advance. The elevator is very tiny and old, they need to change this a.s.a.p. Overall, the hotel is ok, just needs a touch of love to bring standards up to par.

location is perfect, near every thing in South Beach (walking distance), nothing else

The hotel location and room were amazing! It was spacious and clean and we had the best time! The only downside was they gave us a little bit of a hard time on Saturday night for having our music too loud which is kind of ridiculous since it was a Saturday night in South Beach but it might have been a fluke thing since people were staying there for the boat show and wanted to rest but I definitely didn't appreciate it. I would stay again though for sure.

1 block to beach and restaurants, helpful staff. The room is really spacious and has everything we needed.

Great Location. HUGE, modern remodeled room. Friendly staff. Pet friendly. Reasonably priced. We will be back

The elevator was not working and it seemed that it was not working for quite some time. There were no cups in the room. There was a full kitchenette with microwave - but no kitchenware. There wasn't even a mug to heat a cup of tea. The room was clean, and the location was excellent, just a few blocks from South Beach. Overall it was a good bargain. But next time I'll pay a few bucks more and get a hotel with a working elevator.

The elevator worked 20% of our 5 day stay. The first night we had to carry our bags to the third floor. There was no divider in the shower so the entire bathroom floor would flood. Despite a reservation for 3 people we only had towels for 2 and no washclothes. We didn't eat at the hotel because it was overpriced compared to other restaurants. The safe did not work. The ceiling/floor was very thin because we woke up to our neighbors stomping every morning. The staff was friendly.

The hotel is not the best. The staff were great and very helpful. However, it is not the cleanest or the nicest. The restaurant they have is amazing

Great little hotel right in the middle of the action of South Beach. Room was clean and spacious. If parking at the hotel is full there is other parking stations close by. Overall a good experience.

great hotel, nice rooms for the price we paid. super comfy beds. food downstairs was amazingg. perfect location just 2 blocks from beach and few a few blocks from nightlife. very happy will recommend and will stay again.

It was in a perrrfect location...close to everything you need. a block from the beach. food, shopping and night clubs in walking distance. The only bad thing was that there was a weird order to the hotel when we first checked in but it when away after the first couple of days. Friendly staff.

Was in SoBe on business with the kids. Had a couple of problems with the room the first day that were taken care of. Will try this hotel again as it is centrally located and reasonably priced.

This hotel is located close to the beach, great dining locations, and the shopping mall. Everything is within walking distance so there is no need to find a parking spot. The staff at the hotel was friendly and helpful. We had no problems with late check in and the complimentary drinks at the lounge were wonderful.

Went to meet friends who were going on a cruise and came in a day early to meet up. They stayed at the Royal Palm for $140 a night I stayed at Eva for $68. They weren't happy I was. They said my carpet was cleaner than theirs. My hotel had parking underneath for $20 and an elevator to get to the room, Luxuries for SOBE in this kind of hotel. It was clean, comfortable and nice people. Location is great close to Lincoln road and Jerry's Diner.

Hotel Eva is located in the heart of South Beach and you can't beat the price. Friends of ours stayed down the street and paid twice what we did. The room itself had a kitchenette, small kitchen table, had high-speed wireless, and was a fairly large room. The only hassle was that the keycards would not work all the time and I had to go to the front desk to get them reactivated. I would definitely stay here again.
