The property is dated with a front desk staff that does not care. I asked for my room to be cleaned, they said they would do it and never did. I came back after a concert late to a dirty room. I asked for water at night for me and my son to drink and they told me to walk to Walgreens or pay $9.00 for a bottle from the bar at midnight. The shower and bathroom looked like a third world country with old repairs and beat up fixtures and mold. This property could be so much nicer with an update and a staff training. One of the toughest stays I’ve ever had.
Great space
I always have a beautiful time in this hotel!
Do Not Stay at this Hotel. The rooms are OLD, Run down. Rust Everywhere. This Beach is Public and Unsafe. The beach is dirty. This hotel is not 4 stars. Its a 1 Star.
The Surfcomber is very convenient and has easy access to the beach, however the rooms are small, the alcohol bottles on.the wall are tacky and the bathtubs are unusually corroded.
Beautiful hotel! Staff very friendly and pool is gorgeous with the south beach right behind it!
I’m a middle aged father of two teen girls. I brought them down along with a friend of theirs over winter break from New England. We all had a blast. The hotel itself was in a great location along the beach and boardwalk. The pool was warm, and the pool deck was perfect for the three teen girls to sunbathe and chat amongst themselves. The fitness room was mediocre, but serviceable. They had two Peloton bikes, though mine stopped connecting to the internet midway through my workout. It was fine, I just kept going. There were also two treadmills, some dumbbells up to 50 lbs, and multi use machine with a pull up bar. I also did a yoga class taught by Augustina from Argentina, and she was excellent. Muscle Beach was a mile away, and I made sure to get a workout there as well during our stay. The staff was very friendly. The hotel restaurant was very good. Then highlight was coconut water out of a coconut by the pool. There were shops within a short walk from the hotel. The kids appreciated that. I would say this is a more adult hotel than a teen hotel. Lots of alcohol around. But we all still had a great time, and left having a positive experience of the hotel and of Miami.
This is my go-to hotel when I travel to Miami. The staff is top notch and makes you feel like a million bucks.
This place wasn't as clean as it looks in the pictures. The running water in the bathroom was very poor.
Annual trip to the surfcomber and the hotel/staff never let me down! Still the best value in SOBE!
A very noisy place, not appropriate for my needs as a business traveler. Music blasting from 7 am to well after my bedtime, wild partying as well. Front desk staff very inexperienced gave my room key to another guest, had a guest trying to get into my room at 10 pm, very unapologetic security and front desk staff. Great if you want a 24/7 nightclub vibe.
Food was good. Hotel staff inexperienced and rude.
The hotel room we had (standard two queen) was very small for a family of four. The property is beautiful, lovely beach with towel and chair service. Great waitstaff that will bring you food and drink on the beach which is right there! Nice pool area. Lovely free social hour with wine, cocktail, and snacks. Helpful valet and bike service. Great location! The down side- don’t expect to sleep much. We heard music blasting almost all night long, and one night, it was all night long. The techno music is almost everywhere in Miami but I was hoping to have a break from it around 2am. We may have just had bad luck with our neighbors but the rooms are definitely not noise proof!
The Staff at hotel were great & helpful The Restaurant on the property had really good food. However the hotel rooms were old with no curtains only shades. Also the noise from other rooms were unfiltered
Really a awesome place - great service and beautiful pool that backs how the beach
I have been going to this hotel since 2002. It’s awesome. Love the location, very convenient.
There is nothing bad to say about this property. The staff is simply amazing!
