Novotel Suites Nancy Centre4.0 out of 5.0

We stayed at a Novotel suites in Vienna and it was really good so we thought it was a good option for Nancy, and we were not disappointed. The staff, in particular Theo and Emilie went out of their way for us from booking restaurants to answering my emails within a few hours before we checked in to tips on sightseeing and much more. These 2 really made our trip great!! The hotel rooms are spacious for a family of 4, super quiet as we didn’t hear anything at night and breakfast was adequate. It is a 20min walk from the Centre of town but there is a tram stop 200m away that goes all the way to Nancy train station. We will definitely stay here next time.
So many times, travelling on the A31, had I raced past the exit 'Nancy-Pl Stanislas', always wondering what the heck this 'Place' was??? My grandson, hearing me say this, proposed to go and see. And what we saw, was... awesome! Seldom had we seen such a beautiful setting, splendid buildings, full of history! The Novotel Suites being within walking distance, we just dumped the car in the underground parking and left it there until our departure.
An enjoyable stay 3 years earlier brought us back to this friendly-staffed hotel. We are fans of the Novotel Suites for their luxurious-feeling room-layouts, although our particular room this time had a small bed where we had previously enjoyed a sofa; it did, however, overlook the peaceful Japanese water gardens behind the hotel. The underground, on-site pay parking is most convenient in what is a fast-moving, high-traffic area. My husband and I enjoy walking and found the water-park-side, canal-crossing route to Place Stanislas fairly quick and straight-forward, as well as quite safe. Tasty breakfast buffet.
We checked to see if the restaurant was still open as it was close to 11pm at this country wide hotel.. There was 10 minutes to go. A table was set for us and we chose a ham omelette, fresh chips and a small salad. The bedroom was a reasonable size and a good bathroom - though I was not gone on the colour as it made the both room dark. Being slightly above average height, my wife and I found the bed on the small size. There was an extensive range of food at breakfast time. Plenty of room to seek out dishes..
After frustration with the traffic we arrived at the Hotel and didn't realise that we needed to have booked car parking. We were greeted at the front desk by Emilee who couldn't have been more helpful...She arranged our parking for us and any other needs we had with such friendliness.. The room was very spacious and there was even coffee and cake on arrival and the next day checking out for free.. One of the best stays in France and very close to the Old town..
On our return journey from the south of France, we booked a night at the Novotel City Centre to relax and visit the city of Nancy. The hotel is perfectly located in short walking distance of the Stanislas Square, (ten minute walk) We booked a parking spot for our car, in the car park underneath the hotel. Well worth the €9,- euro. At reception we were very warm welcomed, very friendly and informative. Check in was quick, the lady also gave us a map of Nancy on which she showed the way into town. The room was quit nice, light and equipped with everything you would need for a short stay. It had a nice bath (and separate shower), toilet also separate. Good beds. Coffee and tea making facilities. Breakfast was very nice and plentiful, fresh croissants, juices, good coffee. And a nice touch...you are able to fry your own eggs. The lady having duty was also very friendly. Checking out was very quick as well. Also friendly. Again :-) All staff we've met spoke excellent English. All in all a good stay. Merci Bien! One remark is to give the public areas some more attention on cleanliness. Corridors, entrance from underground car park etc.
We had to make a short stop on our way from Germany to Spain, so we were there from 3-8 am. So, very short. Nevertheless, one of the few hotels in the area with nonstop check in. Big plus. Big room, comfortable bed, separate bath and toilet. Another plus. Clean. Eatable breakfast, can't complain in France. Almost everything positive, but I had to take something from the car at 7 am, then the access door from parking lot in the hotel was closed. I just buzzed for 5 minutes, it seemed the buzzer was also broken. Took the emergency exit and circled the hotel from the outside, in the rain, refreshing. No biggie, shouldn't happen in a 4 star. Still, a nice place, the friendly smiling personal made the morning brighter.
Our stay was memorable as kids had fun playing with the table screen games while waiting for check-in. The room is so cozy with separate toilet area. The bathroom is spacious thus allowing the kids enjoy their tub time. There's a minibar where one can have a free serving of tea. There's also a microwave and mini-fridge as well as water heater to complete the basic necessities for families with toddlers. Though in-depth dusting of TV and rack was recommended, over all the room is impeccable. Morning breakfast is filling though eggs are to be cooked by guests. Fresh and dried fruits were a delight for me as well as the heavenly croissants . Commendable is their staff named Stephanie who was all smiles while multi-tasking. Yes, never seen a front desk personnel also doing some mop cleaning of the lobby area. Location is not far from the main attractions such as the Stanislas square and Jardin de Pépinière . It takes only 10 mins by car going there. Overall the hotel is highly recommended for a brief stay in the splendid place called Nancy in France.
This is a Beautiful hotel in Nancy in a quiet location next to the river with a beautiful view over the water gardens. Full recognition of my gold membership with a surprise gift box in our family suite. The staff was more than amazing & the location is great with the beautiful Place Stalisnas only a short walk from the hotel. Breakfast is one of the best i had at any Novotel Suites hotels. If i return to Nancy with my family, it will be my first choice hotel for sure.
Budget hotel well designed and spotless and a short walk from the town centre and restaurants. We had a large double bed a single and a pull out single. The toilet was separate from the bathroom which had shower cubicle, and bath with shower attachment. Puzzled why the bathroom had small cut outs for door handles. Don't think, privacy was a problem. Wifi good we also got microwave, kettle, mimi sink, fridge and sachets of tea and coffee but no milk or cups. Haven't had breakfast yet. Would recommend for a base to,explore the city centre. Staff pleasant and helpful. Car parking underground small car park. There were four places when we arrived. We couldn't get into 3 of them, very tight with concrete pillars, our car is not that big, the one we had last year was an estate and wouldn't have got in at all. My husband is a brilliant parker. I would have given up. It took half an hour. We don't know how we're going to,get out yet though. ...... The need for secure parking that can actually be got into has been a problem all this holiday.
